03:28 you said "if you watching this after a year or so..." and I checked the upload date. it is indeed uploaded a year ago. what a coincidence. Love watching your videos.
Mappa. I watched the Build video of the bigger version last night and I gotta tell you you’re not bragging you’re not superficial nor are you miss guided, not by a long shot. Beautiful work well communicated your an inspiration. Low pressure high volume hvlp.
*Walnut has been my go to wood.* I set up a nice amateur wood workshop in my garage after we raised our kids. Then I got to severely hurt to ever really use it. I build two wine an glasses display cases for my wife and daughter and that was it. Life as a volunteer fire fighter and full time First Responder EMT took its toll. I donated everything so others could use and enjoy it. Now, I live vicariously through your videos. Thanks 👍🏻
I am an HVAC technician so I get it. Thanks for providing for someone else, there are so many youtubers or just people in general that could donate their old tools to someone else that it is crazy. Unfortunately for so many people that usually does not happen.
I'm 52 today. 40 years ago someone from some organization or other gave me a bunch of tools with no instructions. I just wanted to comment to say thank you for doing that. For me, it got me into technical theatre in grade 9. I stuck with it for 15 years. Put on some great shows. Got to work for some great bands who worked the college circuit from '99 - 2k. My family and I just moved into a new house after flipping the first one. We now have a 22'x25' heated garage with matching his and her's work benches. The last thing I did before we moved was to donate all my old tools. I just started on a pinball machine that I hope to build for under $70k. Cheers!
I'm a woodturner and love all of your cut off pieces, Makes me cry to see how much really beautiful pieces are tossed into the firewood bin. Your work is amazing and I often think how a turned base or legs would work with these gorgeous tables you create. Keep up the great work and if you have scraps that you want to sell let me pay for shipping I would be glad to get them.
Mappa. Changed my mind. On the other video I said I couldn’t make up my mind but yeah, the close up shots featuring the chatoyancy of that Mappa Burl really seals the deal! ❤
I see this table and my mind goes back to my Industrial Arts program in high school in the mid to later 60's (Mr. Terminelli) He would have loved seeing one of his students building this and I'm sure he would have been right in there helping! Nice project! And I'm sure he would have LOVED your shop!! Well done! I'm going to end with my selection of the mapa....or maybe the.... wait.....I CAN'T DECIDE!!!!!
Mappa. It's the contrast between the woods that makes that table so beautiful. More so, I could spend spend quite a bit of time looking at the layout/geometry of those holes on a mappa burl. Absolutely gorgeous!
Walnut. The humor... 😄👍 including the title, all good! Thank you Cam 🙏 For the great informative, practical and entertaining video. And thank you for the free finishing workshop. Also, it was fun seeing you tackle the aluminum in the other version. Thanks for consistently being real and encouraging when tackling new and different materials and skills. It makes it less daunting for me to tackle the unfamiliar.
Mappa looks warmer :) The authenticity in this video made it my far on your channel. Statements like "I have always been intimidated by spray finishes" made it very relatable.
I loved both tables. But the mappa is by far my favorite. The burl is very warm. I would love to have it in our 1930s renovated home. The hardwood floors, 10ft ceiling, and double basin washboard sink would look so much nicer with that table as a centerpiece. You do great work. And I appreciate your boldness and freedom to be who you are in the face of haters. Keep up the excellent work.
Walnut Coffee Table. I love the beauty in the simplicity of this design and elegant shapes which makes this coffee table a very memorable project. Thank you for the journey. Wow! That's all I can say at this moment. I used your N3 Nano Hard Coat over Rubio on a Black Walnut Coffee Table top with Birdseye maple legs. N3 over Rubio provided the most astonishing finish I've ever obtained on any of my wood projects.
Not going to lie, Walnut but in saying that, both are so nice! I can not deny that you are so great and being so much too the woodworking world. For that, I thank you.👊🏾
I’ve got a old table saw, jig saw, circular saw, miter saw and a hand router. I can be pretty dangerous with just those basic tools. I fabricate metal for a living so doing work with dead tree carcasses is a different beast. I’m about to build a sled for my table saw to start doing some basic jointery. Watching videos like this get me exited to start building some beautiful wood stuff. I’d like to get a router table and a cheap planer secondhand to really step my game up and make everything square and perfectly flat,
I like the Walnut, though the Mappa is ery nice. I try to watch all of your videos. You do nice work, and are honest and straightforward. I don't know if I've ever seen you wet sand though. Next time you're experimenting with your finishes, try using wet dry sandpaper. 2-3 drops of dish soap and water in a spray bottle, and a hard rubber sanding block, and you'll cut your sanding time in half. If the finish is fresh, and water based, don't walk away for too long without wiping off. I painted cars years ago, and thought I'd try the same method on woodworking finishes. I think it works great. Have a good one.
@blacktailstudioubcut Now I'm nervous. Anytime someone says to me, "got something for you" , it doesn't end well. Usually it's just the middle finger. Ha.
Combo really. Definitely the walnut top but the mappa bottom (can’t do the steel shelf). Thanks for the content you share. The tables you make are beautiful.
What a beautiful table, and the skill u use is perfect, ik like the smaller one a lot, the grain of the wood, if i watch the grain, i get lost in dreams!
Walnut! I absolutely love how you talk every step of the way out in all your videos. You’re giving me the confidence I need to actually go for it and try my hand at woodworking. I have a friend with a shop who has nearly all the tools, so thanks for giving me the push to dive in and develop a new hobby in my “after athletics” stage of my life.
Mappa. I’ve been watching your channel since you started on RUclips and your skills never cease to amaze me. I’ve watched your shop grow along with your woodworking skills. Beautiful table and continued success!
The walnut is beautiful, but the mappa is *STUNNING*. I'm pretty much over walnut. I build so much out of walnut, I really appreciate the beauty of other woods these days.
Still can’t choose after watching both videos Mappa or Walnut they are both absolutely gorgeous and beautiful Amazing work Cam and love both of the channels can’t wait to see more videos ..
Greetings!!! I really like every projects that you did. And im always waiting for your new videos of your project and hoping that someday i can make even a simple table.. that is why i always watch your videos to learn something.. hoping someday that i can have atleast some basic tools to use and start building something that i learned from watching your vids.. thank you very much for sharing!! God bless Us and more powers to you and the whole family.
Mappa - but only because I had to choose one. Both are beautiful pieces of woodworking. I think your content delivery on both channels is spot on and I enjoy both.
Mappa when I watch this video, walnut when I watch the other one 😂 They are both gorgeous, and I would be thrilled to have the mappa one in my living room!
Walnut - definitely my favourite wood right now. Half a kitchen of walnut, and most other features in my house. Will be trying a little walnut project like yours soon!
The Mappa table is just awesome. I'm about to embark on my first table making and I think I will utilize this for inspiration. It will be the first Loco Mokko (Loco: Crazy [spanish], Mokko: Woodworking [Japanese]). We're just getting our shop set up to get started in the countryside of Japan, and I'm a little crazy. Can't wait! Our first top will probably be made from Pear Wood. Scott From Japan
Mappa. One of the hardest things to identify when you're a beginner is - which steps require precision, and which don't. I appreciate you calling that out.
Im very thankfull that you describe everything you do. It's much easier to understand for me because sometimes im struggleing a little bit with some woodworking related words. But when i see what you're doing i know. Anyhow, big thanks for all my friend.
Your explanation about why you made this channel makes perfect sense. Really appreciate all your builds. I really did think the name "Uncut" had more to do with running circumcision jokes though.
Very amateur woodworker here and love getting inspo from you... those legs/the base is such a nice design, I would love to try something similar on some redgum burl I just got and was going to try make a side table. I did an epoxy redgum coffee table last year but with minimal equipment and had to create a tent with fire retardant material and a light globe to keep the temperature stable outside in Australian Winter! May have acquired a few mosquitos and moths in my resin... future Jurassic park. Oh and edited to say I love the contrast of the Mappa and the legs here so I am going with that! Walnut still sooo lovely though.
Walnut, I think the mappa is gorgeous, but after watching your video on the walnut yesterday and seeing both, the aluminum shelf underneath turned out stunning.
I think I like the walnut myself. They're both really nice work though. Your Makerbook is such a great idea. We began Men's Sheds here in Australia that anyone can come along and get help or use tools with other skilled (and unskilled!) people. It started off as a mental health initiative and has taken off around the country and also around the world. It's a great thing.
probably won’t see this but we got that same spray gun at our school the high volume low pressure leave the turbine on two bars generous coats and sand with 320 Lightly in beetween coats after you sand hit it with a tack cloth to eat up all the dust and then spray again you’ll get a beautiful finish
The Mappa is beautiful. Really both tables are gorgeous, i love your work and fascinated with your approach to woodwork. All of your work is awesome, please keep showing your videos. Best wishes from the UK.
That's crazy, I was in fact watching this a year late.
Me too. Wtf
Same here how the f have I not seen this before

Walnut I feel the exact same way.
Mappa.
He’s not miss guided. He’s Mr. Guided.
Did the video of the bigger version get pulled? I saw it about a week ago and then went back to try to show a friend and I can't find it anywhere

That killer me too all this amazing wood I can put on my lathe and turning into a masterpiece
Yep, I recently got my first lathe, and although I’m not very good at it at all, it still hurts me to see those go to waste…
Mappa Coffe Table with Burl, a much-loved table by this girl :)))
Mappa. Changed my mind. On the other video I said I couldn’t make up my mind but yeah, the close up shots featuring the chatoyancy of that Mappa Burl really seals the deal! ❤
The way the light dances off of the textures of the mappa burl after the N3 is glorious. I hope whomever won this loves it.
The walnut with the aluminum shelf is fabulous but this rocks too. Love both channels.
I see this table and my mind goes back to my Industrial Arts program in high school in the mid to later 60's (Mr. Terminelli) He would have loved seeing one of his students building this and I'm sure he would have been right in there helping! Both are beautiful and hard to say a favorite. Likely the walnut would keep everyone in house happy!
Mappa looks warmer :)
The authenticity in this video made it my far on your channel. Statements like "I have always been intimidated by spray finishes" made it very relatable.
Walnut all the way! Fell in love with walnut sixty years ago and it is still my favorite, although mahogany runs a close second!
Walnut. And no question this week. Thank you for just entertaining me.
I loved both tables. But the mappa is by far my favorite. The burl is very warm. I would love to have it in our 1930s renovated home. The hardwood floors, 10ft ceiling, and double basin washboard sink would look so much nicer with that table as a centerpiece. You do great work. I didn't know this channel existed - you shoudl mention it in your main channel. Subbed!
Mappa, it is absolutely beautiful, especially after the nano stuff
Its the Mappa table We just love the look finnish and its size. Stunning.
Walnut Coffee Table. I love the beauty in the simplicity of this design and elegant shapes which makes this coffee table a very memorable project. Thank you for the journey.

Mapple. It’s the burl that is so intriguing to me. Well done, you.
Yes.
That is Mappa AND Walnut (both are, obviously, amazing).
Thanks for showing and, for some blessed person, sharing. Cheers.
Mappa. They are both beautiful, but that mappa is AMAZING!
Not going to lie,
Walnut but in saying that, both are so nice! I can not deny that you are so great and being so much too the woodworking world. For that, I thank you.👊🏾
I'm a sucker for walnut, so that's what I'm going to have to go with here. That being said, the mappa sure is striking. Beautiful table Cam.

I’d like to get a router table and a cheap planer secondhand to really step my game up and make everything square and perfectly flat,
The mappa table is outstanding but the walnut is no slouch either. Neat video. Scott
Walnut.
Walnut is just one of a kind 👀
But.. this 'last' shot of mappa... it looks like surface of liquid gold...
Just gorgeous!
I like the Walnut, though the Mappa is ery nice. I try to watch all of your videos. You do nice work, and are honest and straightforward. I don't know if I've ever seen you wet sand though. Walnut. Both woods are beautiful and the finishing looked beautiful. Great design.
Mappa. The grain is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing this build!
Love the contrast of the mappa top with walnut. Gorgeous!
Walnut but this one is beautiful to so glad to have 2 videos this close together thanks
I appreciate that your focus here is projects a homeowner could reasonably attempt in something as small as a shed shop.
Mappa burl for sure. I love the contrast. But the walnut is still beautiful.
I love Mappa. Walnut looks noble but Mappa plays so nice with all the patterns... just beautiful
Walnut for me. I could watch those build all day long. Cut, uncut, doesn't matter ❤
Mappa. Both are beautiful! Love the contrast of the light top and darker base.
Mappa with the walnut base, beautiful table!
Walnut! I absolutely love how you talk every step of the way out in all your videos. You’re giving me the confidence I need to actually go for it and try my hand at woodworking. Mappa. I can't believe your lack of regard for the Antarctic woodworking scene. There are literally more than one of us!
Все столы прекрасны , отличные столы 👍
Работа супер !!!
Mappa - but only because I had to choose one. Both are beautiful pieces of woodworking. I think your content delivery on both channels is spot on and I enjoy both.
Gonna go with Mappa. Your attention to detail is like no other.
Walnut.. loved that powder coated Al!
Mappa. It is simply beautiful. Oh, I also enjoyed your conversation with 731.
Mappa. Cannot believe how good it looks. Keep putting out these videos of smaller projects!
Walnut. I like the darker theme. This is good too!
Mappa, it looks like it's made of gold. Crazy beautiful
Mappa. One of the hardest things to identify when you're a beginner is - which steps require precision, and which don't. I appreciate you calling that out.
Mappa is just so much lighter for interior projects.
Lovely build. Thank you.
Im very thankfull that you describe everything you do. It's much easier to understand for me because sometimes im struggleing a little bit with some woodworking related words. But when i see what you're doing i know.
Anyhow, big thanks for all my friend.
The walnut and Mappa look really nice together!
Mappa. Both are so gorgeous but I love the look of burl wood so much.
I'll watch either of your channels it doesn't need to be the crazy projects.
Walnut. I always have the soft spot for black
Mappa, Maple and Walnut are all very beautiful.
The lighter top on the darker Walnut base was very striking!
Mapa table is which table I like. Thanks for walking us through the build and all the reasons behind why you did it.
The Mapa is BEAUTIFUL!!! My personal fave!
this will probably become my next years woodworking project for school.
Walnut looks so warm, that would be my go to finish 👏👍🏻
Mappa I think pal , it's the contrast of the two woods for me makes, the whole piece more interesting draws the eye better around the whole piece . 😉
Your explanation about why you made this channel makes perfect sense. Really appreciate all your builds. I really did think the name "Uncut" had more to do with running circumcision jokes though.
This is art. Seriously. Each piece deserves it own space/auditorium in the museum
Mappa. Possibly because I’ve worked with it and know what a nightmare it can be. 🤣 I love both channels, and really enjoy these smaller builds!
Mappa is always the way to go! Love it!
Walnut, but only but the slimmest of margins. Lovely projects, both.
Walnut is my favourite, just stunning 😍
Mapa! That protector is pretty impressive to see the difference in sheens! Thank you for the knowledge!
Mappa love the walnut. you do wonderful work. thanks for sharing
Mappa for me. Really great contrast with the walnut, and the grain structure in the Mappa is fantastic!
Very amateur woodworker here and love getting inspo from you... those legs/the base is such a nice design, I would love to try something similar on some redgum burl I just got and was going to try make a side table. Walnut, I think the mappa is gorgeous, but after watching your video on the walnut yesterday and seeing both, the aluminum shelf underneath turned out stunning.
Yours are the only videos I actually watch all the way through. Good stuff!!
ohhh boy... both tables are beautifull, thanks a lot, I watch all your videos, give me some calm in the midle of my busy day. Thanks a lot from México
Wow I love the mappa table it is just the right contrast
I think I like the walnut myself. They're both really nice work though. Your Makerbook is such a great idea. Mapping is just beautiful
Walnut. But honestly both look amazing. It's always such a joy to watch you work, it's really mesmerizing, it's like therapy 😆
Mappa.
I love the simplicity of this build. I’m gonna build something similar to this soon. Love these smaller builds
Mappa looks incredible.
The Mappa is beautiful.
Really both tables are gorgeous, i love your work and fascinated with your approach to woodwork.
All of your work is awesome, please keep showing your videos.
Best wishes from the UK.
Personally the mappa burl is my favorite. They both look stunning but something that about the top of that table speaks to my soul
The mapa top is my favorite. I love these videos, reminds me of my Dad. Very interested in the black wax stuff you use for the holes.
Angie
To difficult to choose! I would have to base in on the rest of the furniture in the house. Great work and your attention to detail is second to none!
