    for my subscribers that are interested in my british game show content, I apologise but I don't think I'll be making that content anymore due to copyright issues and a lack in british game show content coming out in general.
    for 911 fans, I didn't add everything in the original tweet, so if you're interested in this headcanon then check it out!

    The worst part about Bobby keeping Buck out of the firefighting for a while was that Buck practically clings onto his job. It's his lifeline. He grew up believing that he was never going to amount to anything, knowing that he was a disappointment to his family. His job was his saving grace for it gave him the family he wanted and it gave him the sense of purpose. Losing that was like losing everything he'd worked so hard for, going back to the little Buck who got kicked out of school and was looked down on. That dinner scene kills me every time I watch it.

    as someone with adhd, bucks character hits so hard because i’ve never seen RSD really shown at all and even if it’s not canon it feels like representation
    “i was mad at you guys for moving on without me” i think this line hits so hard for me because like. they didn’t move on. we see this whole arc really just through bucks point of view and to him, it looked like they just completely moved on, but they didn’t really. he just thought they did because that’s how he perceived it and it hurt him enough that he went through with the lawsuit. and they all care SO MUCH about him but at the time he can’t see it because he just is so hurt. and i’ve been there and when you have adhd feeling like you’ve been replaced is so painful
    also i think being a firefighter is a bit of a hyper fixation of his. being a firefighter, at one point, is all he had. it’s the only thing that matters to him and he’s absolutely terrified of it being taken away from him to the point where when it is, he becomes depressed and i think that’s another thing with adhd is being so convinced that This Thing is the Only Thing you can do because you’re not gonna succeed in anything else

    • @kateg4623

    Also more on the RSD, Buck basically shuts down when Maddie leaves, again. She promised she wouldn't leave him again, but, due to her suffering from Post Partum, she not only leaves Chimmy and their daughter, but Buck too.

  • @kenrickbautista6141
    @kenrickbautista6141 3 года назад +225

    His mom is worst than his father. Seriously can't believe she have the nerve to call her own son stupid. I mean, at least the dad sounded a bit concern when Buck starts to leave. That's what I think.

    • @presleysmith1331
      @presleysmith1331 2 года назад +59

      Oh I agree too. She also played the victim card and blamed Maddie and Buck for being difficult to raise when they were kids (plus she barely raised Buck and essentially left Maddie to do it). She reminded me a lot of my grandmother.

      Yeah, the dad was basically catering to his wife's grief and ended up abandoning Maddie and Buck, while she didn't do anything to help her family and herself heal. I got so mad at her about the bike and she told her husband that they already live with a reminder of their dead son, like it was Buck's fault THEY brought him into the world -_- Poor Buck and Maddie.

    something that always hits hard is how everyone tells him after the crush injury that there's so much more he can do. i had a work injury that left me with nerve damage/chronic pain and forced me to stop/slowdown a LOT of the things that helped me survive/cope with life and feel human. hearing people tell buck that he could do so many other things aside from firefighting hurts me because yea, he could, but he WANTS to/LOVES firefighting, and there's no replcement for something that makes you feel so alive and so you.

    I've been reading 9-1-1 fanfic for years and lately more and more of them show Buck having ADHD. As someone who's had ADHD my whole life, I was like 😮 because it makes so much sense! And it's also helped explain some of the things I have that I never even noticed or understood. Info-dumping, RSD, focusing, hyper fixation, impulsiveness, fidgeting, emotions... It's all a wonderful jumble tumbling together

    *breathes* i have once again seen buck's parents and tbh I have never liked them 🤧. Athena and Bobby acts more like his parents than Buckleys do. And if he's really adhd and his parents did nothing about it... that only makes me hate them more 😞 they only saw him as "My sister's keeper" kinda person.

    As kid I knew something was off, I’ve experienced every single thing in this video and at one point I literally thought I was going insane. Started doing a little bit of research with a friend of mine after we realized we were feeling the same way, which led me to express my concerns to my parents which was brushed off immediately. I was labeled a temperamental, over dramatic kid who liked getting in trouble. I handle my adhd a bit better now that I know what I’m dealing with but boy is it a struggle. After years of confusion and uncertainty it’s take a 9min video to put the nail in the coffin. I can’t wait to bring the diagnosis home on paper so I can slap them with it😂😂😂.
