But I also think that Buck is a little impulsive and a very in the moment person I think if/when they get together it would be Buck just like going for it. Him and Maddy would end up talking about it after... because Buck, if Eddie didn’t immediately respond positively (I could definitely see him be frozen or like, needing to think it out too long for Buck to think it’s mutual. But I could see him, all smooth going, “About time.”) I think he’d definitely go to Maddy all worried about ruining things with Eddie. And he’d just be like I kissed him, did I ruin everything? there is no way to explain this straightly. i have never, in my 40 years, met two straight men that have this kind of relationship. perhaps they should. but i have yet to meet them.
I think if I were a parent, i'd be upset on my kid's behalf that someone let my kid love them and get close to them and then just stopped seeing/speaking to them. No, Buck is in no way responsible for Christopher but I think Eddie is peeved that his son was hurting. That being said, i've never seen a male television relationship like this and idk if that means there's something more to it or that we just need more healthy platonic male friendships.

I've been seeing clips like this over the youtube, so I was excited to see what seemed like two hot gay characters in a dynamic and interesting story arc. Then I found out that it was basically gaybaiting. If they ever decided to give it a go for real, then I will watch the show. Ok, so because of this video (that YT's algorithm randomly recommended to me) I discovered 9-1-1 and Buddie, so thanks ! Watched season 2 and 3 and I love it (even though there are some parts that are a bit cliché sometimes). I must admit I don't see any baiting though. There is indeed potential between Eddie and Buck, that's a given, but I'm not convinced that the writers are baiting or anything. That's not to say I wouldn't like it if these two became a thing, they go really well together. In any case, I hope that the next episodes will at least significantly develop their friendship, even if they don't make them an item. Thanks for making me discover a lovely series !
