Also, that's a sniper, there aren't snipers in squad, there are designated marksmen. Marksmen are MEMBERS OF A FIRETEAM, not people who wear a diaper and go out in the middle of nowhere waiting in a hide for a week.
Best thing I do is get drunk, drive logistics back and forth and blast loud phonk or EDM bass while going past someone or transporting people, lot of fun!
Spent most of 2800 hours solo, making friends along the way with people I meet in game, met so many great people through this game it's almost best to play solo. One thing to note is that ensure you review servers rules so you know what types of squads you can create and what you are allowed to do with them. Each server has their own rules.
eh, gets very boring fast playing solo ans idk what yoj mean, everytime i play theres more dicks then nice guys. but when they are nice there very nice, i think having a little squad is better as long as you still interact and help out
I tried to get into this game in years past and was new to PC gaming so it was a bit much, but now I am giving it a go again. I've really gotten into realistic shooters and this seems right up my alley now.
I almost always first join a server solo and friends may be waiting in queue or not. Depending on if I join a fresh start game or one in progress dictates what I will do. If the game has started I will simply fill roles. If there is a bit of armour or helo at main, I make one of those squads. If there is no useful habs up, I make an INF squad. If there are many armour marks ruining FOBs, I will got LAT/HAT/Engi. If the game is fresh and I want to play solo, I will try to grab a spandral, RWS, BRDM or other 1 man-able vech. Beyond this, you can always join a squad and just fill roles they need without engaging much with the squad. Say go rifleman, play on points and if a HAT is screaming for ammo maybe go meet him.
I usually name my squad recon, and use cars to flank behind enemy attacks and scout far away targets. Very fun, as the gameplay won't be too hectic but not too boring.
@@A_Honcho I would *NEVER* mine the railroad bridge in Narva leaving Russian main. Under that first overpass though... 😇🤫 Although the #1 most satisfying is mining an enemy repair station. 😈💣
reasons why I am skeptical about getting the game is being a casual gamer and the team work aspects. I run solo most because most of my friend don’t have the time. So I hop on to just have fun. And when game that require dedicated team work, it sort of a turn off, because you have to think critically and it’s not fun if you are a burden to the team 😭
I don't have friends who play and I find if you are fine with just working with random people and talking to them Squad can be great fun. Most people wouldn't have a whole squad of real life friends to play with anyway, just a couple, so you'll be talking to and working with randoms all the time anyway.
You don't need to play with friends, you can just join a squad. Honestly I hate this video for deterring players with this false accusation that you need to play with friends. Dude I don't have any friends irl that play on PC, like none, but my friends list is nearly full
@@robertsears8323This is not a co-op game that you play with friends. It's a multiplayer with more steps. Just join a squad and make friends, ffs. I hate this video
@@villainsinvitro First there is no such thing playing with friends as this is a video game. Second just randomly joining a squad sound very stupid as no one knows what they are doing so there is no point in teaming up.
Is there a "how to not suck" guide? Most of my gameplay consists of running three kilometrs and then getting domed by someone I didn't see another mile away.
Being a Heli pilot means *MANY* solo games. Even with an unlocked squad, people typically want to do more than be a door gunner. Just be sure you actually know how to fly *WELL* first. I've seen far too many new heli pilots that crash (or hover for an easy RPG shot) and ruin the logistics of the entire team.
Can tell a new pilot, because they land when dropping off supplies rather than hovering somewhere safe. Once those wheels touch the ground all it takes is 1 LAT to destroy the heli
@@A_Honcho My favorite is when they flair to a hover at 100ft and then slowly descend. I break out the popcorn and wait for the fireworks. Nothing personal against new pilots, we've all been there, just take the time to learn on a Jensen's Range server not a 100 person Gordok game.
@@EngNerdGMN I agree, lots of new player just hop in server and goes in heli to try to fly and if they crash they just immediately leave. But i dont really blame to pilots who can at least land. If they do break rotor blade or the tail its fine as long its not something that happens a lot. Since they learning. Ik u could try training ground but there are trees and u dont get to see open field always or with a good landing vision. Many people dont know that u can change map in training to any map by going in console.
You have to check the rules of the server you play on. Some don't allow you to have any fun at all. I've seen servers ban Mechanised Infantry which is the whole back bone of Squad.
I watched that whole fight. The T72s blew their chance after bouncing 3 shots off of the front of a leopard and sinking 2 in the dirt on the one they actually knocked out

Im doing solo as Ive just started and there's so much going on I need time to work the keybinds out. I have 2 issues. Firstly I can't see the bloody enemy and secondly I could really do with a map tutorial.

the mean reason that make people think about playing the game as solo mod is tge internet quality is so bad in many countries just like Iraq. so we need offline mod to play this game at least you can enjoy with some bots.
What I love to do with my friend is taking a LAT or HAT and taking a TIGR and driving it near the enemy supply lines and causing chaos. Btw what server do you play?

I love to run out with a grenadier or combat engineer kit solo and sabotage stuff. It's one hell of a rush when you clear out an enemy nest, cut off logistics, and destroy habs. The best feeling you can get is when you route around the enemy and do something that allows your team to advance or capture a point. Solo team players are the best players in my opinion.
