    Well thought out locations in a scenic area with tractors starring, especially
    Mary Queen of Scots. Very enjoyable even with dull weather. Thanks

      spark68 Thank you for your comment which is most appreciated, plus I think I picked the right time to go as there is a DBSO on services today.

    I live in Grange-over-Sands quite near to the railway station..the class 37s are a thrill to watch but bloody noisy when they are pulling away..but they still are much improved on Northern Rails DMUs!!

    • @antman09ful1
      @antman09ful1  9 лет назад

      +Russell Bloxsom I think that sound of them leaving your local station is fantastic and its a shame its only twice a day Russell.

    Amazing to see manual operated crossing gates. I remember the one at Bootle from many years ago when I visited the area.

    Very nice vid. Why two 57s for two cars @5:55? Anything to do with Sellafield nuclear plant?

    • @fuoco13
      @fuoco13 8 лет назад

      Two locomotives are always used for nuclear flask trains. I believe it is a safety precaution in case of mechanical failure with either unit.

    Great 37 action,wish they'd put something like this on the exmouth to Paignton service. This is a real beautiful part of the world for filming loco's in.... Top marks again !

    Great video! Question of ignorance: Why do they need two apparently large diesels to pull 4 coaches?

    • @antman09ful1
      @antman09ful1  8 лет назад +1

      +Roy Berryman They are using a DBSO coach one end and a loco the other end now. The reason they had two locos was because there DBSOs wasn't ready when DRC took over the service, plus there's no need to run the loco round each end of the service.

    • @royberryman429
      @royberryman429 8 лет назад

      +antman09ful1 thank you! DBSO = coach with a cab at one end?
