I live in Grange-over-Sands quite near to the railway station..the class 37s are a thrill to watch but bloody noisy when they are pulling away..but they still are much improved on Northern Rails DMUs!!
Great 37 action, wish they'd put something like this on the exmouth to Paignton service. This is a real beautiful part of the world for filming loco's in.... Top marks again !
+Roy Berryman They are using a DBSO coach one end and a loco the other end now. The reason they had two locos was because there DBSOs wasn't ready when DRC took over the service, plus there's no need to run the loco round each end of the service.
+Phil Clarkstone Thanks Phil for watching my video of these great machines, I have lots of people ask me what I use. I have Panasonic 900 and 920 cams.
WHAT HAVE CLASS 37'S TO DO WITH NETHERGATE BREWERY. WELL 37'S ARE CALLED GROWLERS AND THE NETHERGATE BREWERY PENTLOW ESSEX HAS A PREMIUM REAL ALE CALLED ' OLD GROWLER ' BREWED CONTINUOUSLY SINCE 1988 !!! GRAHAM, N E LONDON.

Well thought out locations in a scenic area with tractors starring, especially
Mary Queen of Scots. Very enjoyable even with dull weather. Thanks
spark68 Thank you for your comment which is most appreciated, plus I think I picked the right time to go as there is a DBSO on services today.

+Russell Bloxsom I think that sound of them leaving your local station is fantastic and its a shame its only twice a day Russell.
Some great footage in a lovely area Mike, nice to see all those semaphores too... Brian.
SYKAROST Yer I think they will be around for sometime, as you say a great part of our country but slow roads. Cheers Mike.
Amazing to see manual operated crossing gates. I remember the one at Bootle from many years ago when I visited the area.

Trevor Ledgeway I just love filming these Locos Trevor, thank you for taking a look. Mike.
Very nice vid. Why two 57s for two cars @5:55? Anything to do with Sellafield nuclear plant?
Two locomotives are always used for nuclear flask trains. I believe it is a safety precaution in case of mechanical failure with either unit.
ptarmegen I
great footage, I especially liked the clips at Bootle as I used to work their and it was my 1st signal box :-)
eagle50043 Oh right, now that is a very peaceful place to work G

andybyrne50 That would be amazing, how about the class 33 Andy.
Great video! Question of ignorance: Why do they need two apparently large diesels to pull 4 coaches?
+Roy Berryman They are using a DBSO coach one end and a loco the other end now. The reason they had two locos was because there DBSOs wasn't ready when DRC took over the service, plus there's no need to run the loco round each end of the service.
+antman09ful1 thank you! DBSO = coach with a cab at one end?
+Roy Berryman That's right Roy. Cheers Mike.
