  • Hi everyone! Welcome back. I remember after my first delivery, I suffered a lot from depression and body dysmorphic disorder. I felt horrible when I looked in the mirror. Getting dressed was emotionally overwhelming because my body has changed so rapidly. Now after my second pregnancy, I have learned more about acceptance. There are also some habits that I changed with my second pregnancy as compared to my first in order to just be healthier.

    Water is great. My wife rebounded to below her pre-pregnancy weight quickly. Breast feeding was the biggest factor. All those calories creating milk, etc.
    You've looked healthy/happy/great all along. A woman's body is amazing.

    I also used IF to loose wait pre pregnancy. I was curious if it would be safe while breastfeeding but I see that you did it while nursing and you have an awesome milk supply. Thank you for sharing this info.

    Intermittent fasting works well for me too! I’m 7 months postpartum so I haven’t done it because of breastfeeding but It’s the easiest way for me to lose weight as well.

      I find that if I eat enough calories and drink enough water, it doesn’t affect my supply!

  • @burning4rmwithin

    One week postpartum i was under my prepregnancy weight. But then i only gained 16lbs. My belly bounced back close to its original... just a tiny fat pouch. My baby fed and slept on me for a whole week so i don't know if that helped shrunk my belly or not.

    i have been interested in intermittent fasting for a while now but i am diabetic and i take metformin twice a day,totally makes sense that you would think less about food with the intermittent fasting and i think that would probably do the trick for me to loose weight,honestly it is draining to think about food all the time,what to make for every meals lol pretty sure that’s why i give up fast

    You really look terrific Jenny. I notice that our snack machines have changed to healthier selections along with lots of flavored waters. I have no clue how I got through school.We were bombarded with tons of processed high fat foods that got us through about 2 hours of feeling ok, to no energy and just feeling bad. So grateful that the health industry has finally dominated our culture. Of course eating healthy is only part of it. I still however have to indulge and eat a frozen snickers every once in awhile😃 Just want to say 🎈 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WYATT🎉 Thank you so much for sharing these fun videos with us. The best to your family❤

    thanks for the tips! I have a 4 month old and from breast feeding and getting rid of excess fluid from my c-sections, i was back to my pre baby weight in 10 days, but my hectic medical school schedule made it had to breastfeed/pump so I definitely need to try and get that back going because stopping along w/ birth control has my weight back up :-(

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  5 лет назад

    Did you start intermittent fasting right after you gave birth? I gave birth to my second a week ago and am SO eager to get my body back. I feel like my body needs more time to recover and wondering if fasting might prolong recovery time.

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  5 лет назад

      I was already on somewhat of an intermittent fasting schedule during my pregnancy. I have had a lot of question with intermittent fasting affecting milk production. I have not seen that in my case as long as I stay hydrated.

  • @ArwenCaz

    I am 7 weeks postpartum and would like to start intermittent fasting to lose weight. However I heard that not eating regularly and properly can affect ones milk supply. I’m already an undersupplier and take supplements for it. Will fasting reduce my milk supply?

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  5 лет назад +1

      I’ve been intermittent fasting and was still able to build a milk stash of over 10,000 ml. Drinking enough water is important. putting baby to breast often or pumping will increase supply. I just made a video on this!
      That being said, everyone is different. You can always try and if it affects your supply then go back to your regular eating schedule.

      @@drjennale I love being retired. I worked in the insurance industry for several years when we got married in 1972, had the children, and stayed home till they were almost out of high school, then I worked in the insurance business again at Florida Hospital for a looooooooong time, and retired when my husband had heart problems...aorta valve replacement, triple bypass, etc., so I thought, nooooo I need to be home now. It took a while to figure out how to stay at home again, and I did...and did I have a housekeeper when I worked, no, but do I now that I'm retired? yes! Go figure! My husband and I are having good years together, and I am positive you and your family will too. I'm so proud of you!! Love you! Jeanie
