  • Beat the hardest and secret superboss in Lufia 2 - Rise of the Sinistrals, and you will get the most powerful items, the Egg Sword and Ring.
    Guide on how to defeat the Egg Dragon (easy and hard way). Although the hardest thing about this boss might be the way to actually fight him...
    A JRPG classic (not from Square) on the Super Nintendo, that i totally love but is often overlooked! Lufia 2, Rise of the Sinistrals, is the Prequel to the first Lufia game, Towers of Doom, and follows the story of Maxim and his companions to save the world from the evil Sinistrals. Quick and engaging battles, awesome spell animations, interesting puzzles, a rogue-like dungeon and one of the best boss battle themes await.

    After a day of playing Baldur's Gate 3, with all of its content and graphics ,watching your videos is giving me a nostalgic kick to wanting to play a game so many of us played in highschool.
    I didn't realize Lufia 2 had so much content! I definitely don't remember ever looking for the eggs twice, let alone 4 times!!

      I find it very hard to get invested in modern games, many of them are too bloated with nonsense. Baldurs Gate 3 is definitely an excpetion though, that game rules, so are From Software games and a lot of stuff from Nintendo nowadays... and MONSTER HUNTER!

    Random RUclips recommendation brought me here..... The only lufia game I played was Lufia: the ruins of Lore for gba on emulator many years ago, I really loved that game.

      All hail the random youtube recommendation! I never played any other Lufia besides Rise of the Sinistrals, but that may change in the future because i just made a certain "purchase" OR i plan to get a gba consolizer soon to get access to stuff like minish cap, golden sun and also Ruins of Lore. Maybe you want to tell me what you really like about that game? Oh, and you should definitely check out Rise of the Sinistrals!

      @@TobiContinued93 it's probably because it was my first jrpg and nostalgia but I really like the sense of adventure the characters. You should definitely try ' Tactics Ogre : The Knight of Lodis' it is a great g andame on the gba and absolutely a hidden gem.

      I am still waiting for my gb advance consolizer to arrive so i can finally get into some gba games on the big screen.

    Genious. It's maybe 20 years into the past when I last played it. Thanx to the complexity and my interest in retrostuff, I really consider to play it again.

    Well thank you very much random algorithm. It's late tonight but now I have a channel to check out later.
    I've only rented the game from a store so I never had the time to fight this boss (let alone solve the hardest puzzle as a child); I didn't know you could kill him without a lv99 party!

      @TobiContinued93  Год назад

      Wow thank you, that means a lot. I just started doing guides on my channel so there are still a lot of old let's play Videos that i will remove one at a time and there are more guides to come. Next one will probably be Secret of Evermore but i am also open for suggestions.
      We also rented a lot and were never able to finish the games until we got our own snes.

    i usualy just grind random encounters on the ocean untill every character including capsule monsters are level 99 then fight the egg dragon for fun.
    hes about as hard to beat at level 99 as fighting the sinistrals around level 60.
    he will do some damage but nothing you cant handle with healing spells and buffs.

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  8 месяцев назад +1

      Well that sounds like a lot of work. ^^
      But yeah, farming on the ocean is a quick way to to level up (the exploit to defeat the egg dragon might be faster, though).

    Yes trying to fight him is a lot harder then the BATTLE itself EVEN at lv 99.

    This guide misses a lot of the advanced knowledge. Like:
    - There's a lot of equipment with confusion protection.
    - Scrambled Egg is a regular attack, therefore it's power can get lowered by debuffing. Especially with Bunny Ears' Swordsplitter.
    - Certain shields lower the damage of fire attacks, including Scrambled Egg. That is, Flame Shield and Pearl Brace. Especially the latter is easy to find.
    - The dragons agility is 510. Quite high, but not impossible to surpass by buffing and debuffing. Especially with using the Spiderweb IP move.
    - This one is super obscure, but... As soon as you collect the Magma Key in Dragon Mountain (for some reason) the damage formula changes in some way and his non-magical attacks do less damage. (Just make a save right before and after collecting the key and compare the Sunny Side Up damage and you'll see a HUGE difference.)

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  6 месяцев назад +1

      Wow, thanks for sharing this advanced knowledge. So what would you say is the earliest you can defeat the dragon legit if you optimize your strategy? And how do people even find out stuff like the magma key glitch???

    • @OnePieceObsessed
      @OnePieceObsessed 6 месяцев назад

      @@TobiContinued93 He's perfectly doable as soon as you reach him, even at levels around 40. And about the magma key glitch, well, I somewhen noticed that there was a huge disconnect about the damage I received when I took him on early compared to later which cannot be explained by levels or equipment, so I tracked it down (by binary search) to wherever the change in damage output occured and found out that it starts as soon as you get that key.

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  6 месяцев назад

      Level 40 sounds like a real challenge. Maybe I will come back to this at some point and try it... the trick with the magma key will certainly be helpful, so thanks for finding that out! ;)

    If you cure him then attack him he would die in 1 hit its a glitch just like the big slime in ancient cave level 100 and it's real dumb to use a statue just to have your files erased nastume needs to fix their games

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  Год назад +1

      Sorry, but i dont get the thing about the statue. You can get your save files erased by using them?

      @@TobiContinued93 ya I did I was so angry about losing all the work I put into that game many hours without a guide or internet I goofed and guessed around to find out what I had to do next in this game if you have a emulator and a rom to this game for a epic weapon for game genie type in 71EF-170C it will give your characters a dual blade remove their weapon and there you go

    • @OnePieceObsessed

      Statues are bugged in the US and Japanese version. Never use them outside of battle in the menu screen. It's fixed in the PAL version as well as in the bugfix hack version, though. I don't know about even losing save files by it, but I don't even really want to know, anyway. :)
