Yep. Awakening saved the franchise. Just recently played 3 Houses on Switch, now I wanna play Awakening at some point.

OoT 3D: improves the N64 original in nearly every way imaginable
Also OoT 3D: loses five points compared to the original
Mabye due to the time of release. A game that was a 10 then wouldn't be a 10 now because of the technical advancement and better mechanics of games of today in comparison but still, a great game then would still be a great game now at least to me so I'm with u on that.
All the additional pokemon games in a generation are also always ranked lower than the earlier games. Its funny to me people consider the same games improved with extra content to be worse.
i think its just because everyone knows what to expect and it isnt as immersive in that regard

@@paradiis_ it may be one of the highest rated 3DS games but hardly anyone even knows it exists. You will never see it high on people’s Zelda tier lists. Usually because they haven’t played it or can’t appreciate it enough. It’s greatly overshadowed by the more namesake Zelda games like OAT and BOTW which everyone knows and likes but this banger of a game always flies under the radar.

The remake made changes that disgusted a bunch of players (Zora Link in general, adding eye weak spots to the bosses, TWINMOLD, the new save points, etc)
@@emperornefarious5273 New save points are a negative? Also the clock feature became way better, you can actually skip to a specific time. Zora link thing was never an issue to me tbh. Also they made the giant mask fight more unique

Tomodachi was absolutely wild, but it had a very big flaw sadly. The content got repetitive after a while, in only a year of playing it. A game like TD should never be repetitive in just one year.
Never had either of the Zelda games but I LOVED Fire Emblem Awakening!!! I sadly never finished it but I wish I had, it was sooooo amazing

Growing up as a creepypasta kid Ben Drowned was my all time favorite. As soon as I got my 3DS it was basically OBLIGATORY for me to get Majora's Mask. 0 REGRETS. Now I am OBSESSED with Zelda games, owning every single one, and can confirm that Ocarina of Time is for sure on my top 3.
God that creepy pasta of Majora's Mask was creepy. I've found out about the game with that too, but I think I had already played Wind Waker and maybe OOT at the time
i owned all three of these and played through them multiple times and i can def say i love them a LOT and deserve their ratings!!

You know the Zelda series is good when it’s two thirds of the list.
Just shows how legendary not only the Zelda series is, but Ocarina of Time itself. Understandable why it’s arguably the best game of all time

Brother found OoT at Walmart marked down for just a dollar just a few years ago. They had three he got me one and him one he tried to buy the third but they wouldn't let him for some dumb reason.

But I have to be that guy and ask how are Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros 2 (especially Gold Edition) and Pokemon OR/AS not part of this conversation?

I always wonder if Nintendo will bring these games forward. The DS and 3Ds will basically be lost in time. I’m hoping they do. Even though I’m a big emulation guy. I still think these games deserve to be available for the general public
Ocarina of time my favorite game of all time since the 64. When they brought it to the 3DS I almost passed out. Then Majora's mask 😭. Fire emblem awakening was my first fire emblem game. Amazing

I personally don’t like the N64 version of Ocarina of Time. I don’t complain about graphics, but the framerate is like 24fps. It got annoying so quick that I just stopped playing. But the 3DS version on the other hand, fixes that awful framerate, and even boosts the game’s graphics! Which really makes me want a Switch version of the game.
You didn’t mentioned how it was too dark visually for the OG version

that's because ocarina or time was the first 3d zelda, that's why it got such a high rate. it's far from perfect
The best part is that Ocarina Of Time for the N64 is the highest rated game of all time (at least for what i know), but the 3ds remaster has a lower rating. I can understand such a thing for games like Hot Pursuit 2020, wich has almost no improvements over the original, but this one is just puzzling to me

Am I the only one who didn’t really like a link between worlds? I felt the dungeons were too simplistic since you only needed one tool to beat them, and you couldn’t get them unless by buying or renting them. I really didn’t like that change.

Don’t know if this is a hot take, but Fire Emblem Echoes is worlds better than Fire Emblem Awakening
Really, even the poison swamp map?
Nope. I liked Echoes, it had excellent story, characters, and presentation. But the gameplay was too faithful to the original, incorporated almost none of the enhanced features and polish from the other 3DS Fire Emblem titles, and the end result was a core gameplay loop that was incredibly primitive, tedious, and grindy. From a gameplay perspective it is by far the weakest Fire Emblem for the 3DS, and since the gameplay is what you’ll be doing the most that’s a problem.
@@byronvonedmundand what about taking damage from using magic, no pairing up, can’t take zero damage, witches, or even the map design. Awakening is honestly pretty better than echoes in my opinion.
