I'm using this palette for 3 months now, for plein-aire and especially for travel. It's light-weight and travels well. Along with you, I recommend this palette.

Wow I will have to get one of those palettes, especially since it’s got the clear extra spot for mixing. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I watched this video a while ago, and didn't pay much attention, because I thought it would be something that wouldn't be as important as the painting itself. Now, I've been using gouache for about half a year and got tube gouache just a few months ago. I have literally washed away so much paint even when I never paint outdoors. You might say, "gouache can be reactivated with water" but once you squeeze that paint out and start painting, it makes such a mess after a while, that I sometimes can't even recognize the color of the leftover paint. I see now, how this palette will really be a life changer. AND save those paints! Thank you for making this video!

I wouldn’t mind seeing a review on one of the stay wet palettes as well! I like this one but I’m also debating on the stay wet options because of the wet sponge.

I got this originally for my watercolors since I was trained on a relatively limited palette of 12 colors. As I branch out into more colors and mediums I am going to get a larger palette for my watercolors and use this one for gouache.

Are you still happy with this palette, a year after posting the video? Genius idea to put this on the fridge. Do you do this to store them, or just to "shock" the paint after you have been outside? I like the slanted shape of the wells as it allows to use big brushes, or flat brushes -much better than regular half pan. Have you let the colours dry or are you still using them as a wet palette? Thanks a lot for showcasing this.
