jerryl10000 I may still have it for a while with everything being closed. And that’s probably true - people subbed to my channel for the Lexus. This is the longest I ever kept a car, too.
Marty, I think you inspired alot of people with ideas and mods to the IS. I know you have several videos where you mention different things at different times. Do you have a video mentioning all of it? Sources/ sellers. Thanks. (sad to see the IS go but the 4Runner looks great, look forward to the future of your channel)
I was gonna sell my IS250 until this pandemic happened. Think I’m gonna have to keep it for good now. If you do end up having to take off the aftermarket mods, I’m very interested in mainly the VLAND taillights
Hey Marty, I don’t comment that often but great videos! Inspired me to get a is250 I paid 5k for. It just got totaled and the insurance company gave me 12k! I’m hopefully getting an is350 if it checks out in PPI tomorrow. I love the 4Runner as well and when I graduate college I’m hoping the wife wants the is350 and I get a good deal on a 4Runner. Most reliable cars!
Hey Charles! Thanks for the comment. That is awesome you got such a good value out of the car and possibly getting the IS350! 4Runner is another solid choice, but I’m biased 😂
I just sold my 2015 Runner and picked up an 07 is350. Looking forward to installing some of these mods on my Lexus. Thank you for the inspiration! Enjoy your Runner! Sending you well wishes on your new endeavors!
Marty, I’m currently deployed overseas, and I watch all of your videos. Because of your content, I’m definitely looking for a 07’ IS 350 when I get back to the states. Do you have any other new Lexus buyer advice? Thanks for your time, and awesome content both on here, and on IG!!!
IMHO these (IS-350’s) are great little cars, Japanese reliability, Mercedes Benz luxury, all the bells and whistles, and very decent performance. You’ll hear people talk for days about horsepower, one car has this much, another has X, Y, and Z. Listen, you put a 350 in “sport” mode and run it 0 - 60 in 5.5 seconds that’s gonna be all the power and more than 90% of the American driving population can, or knows how to handle. So sure, the ISF has 400 horsepower and the Dodge Demon has 7 million, that’s great. But I very rarely encounter a car that leaves me in the dust and I don’t know where you live, but these days running super high performance car any where near its limits is damn near impossible. These cars go plenty fast when pushed, handle well, and how does 25 mpg sound? With premium gas at 3.50 a gallon a couple months back in CA it sounded REAL good to me. But you asked for advice and here’s mine: I bought my car through Carmax, 2008 with 125k. Now, they’re gonna hit you for high book on the price. But, the first 3 months or 4,000 miles they cover *everything* and I had my car back to them 3 times with over 20 repairs. Nothing major, indicator lights, rear window defrost was dead, headlight, gas trunk shocks, new front brakes, lots of little nickel and dime stuff. I got a flat and they replaced the tire! But if I’d had to pay for it all it would’ve cost well over a grand. And they gave me a loaner every time, and did all the work with a smile. I read that the water pump can run you a grand. And an oil leak at the timing chain cover can set you back 3 large. So I bought a 3 year warranty from them and tacked it on to the payment. Now if something major breaks it’s their problem not mine. I drive the car and enjoy it, and don’t have to worry.
@@WOMPCRASH Sure, no question. But that’s true of any car right? And if you’re buying used why not buy the best (IMHO) which very simply means one of two brands (And I love Made in America but where cars and trucks are concerned you’ve hurt me too many times) Honda, or Toyota. One update: Since I originally posted I had a dummy light come on so I took the car to Lexus (mile away vs. Carmax 20 min drive). I guessed O2 sensor and was right. When I met with the service writer I told him my story: Carmax, extended warranty, soup to nuts please ask your techs to eagle eye the car when it’s up on the rack. Anything they see let’s get it fixed (for FREE!) So - and you’re gonna love this - he calls and says we found an oil leak at the front of the motor at the main bearing. I said that sounds expensive. He said, yeah it’s not cheap because to get at it we have to pull the MOTOR and the TRANNY! (phone drops). But they documented all of it, called the warranty company and got the green light. S-E-V-E-N THOU-SAND DOLLARS LATER . . . I paid $13k for the car with the warranty, tax, and reg out the door, and one repair, more than half the purchase price. I had to pay $500 of it for some rusted bolts but I was like noooo problem! AND (yes there’s an “and”) they kept my car for 10 days but gave me a 2021 ES 350 for a loaner. Which I used to do a weekend run from NorCal down to SoCal to hang with friends and enjoy some beach fun in the sun. And I still have 10k miles to go before the warranty is finished.
Had an abs issue with my Infiniti G37 that lit up my dash, too. Bad sensor was inbedded in the passenger seat cushion. Fix was to replace the whole seat which sucked. New seat goes for 6K+. Found a used one was $250. Love your car! GLWS
Hi MM, I remember this car has a 2 GR FSE engine with rubber oil cooler hose recall for 2GRFEs & 2GRFSEs built between 2005-2010. The recall was to change the part of the hose from rubber to metal. Several engines knocked from oil leak. Here’s hoping you’ve had the part fitted.
Yes, I had all the recalls done. I replaced that part on an RX350 with the 2GR-FE. I do not believe it is the same part for the 2GR-FSE, as the oil cooler line is already metal from factory.
Marty Motoring - oh I see. If I was in your country, I’d pay cash for your car without even thinking about it. It’s been obviously looked after. Take care and thank you for churning up these amazing videos.
Marty, Good luck with your channel what you're doing makes sense as far as buying a house putting a little money in the bank that is the responsible thing to do👍...... but you built your channel off your IS350 and you can tell by your views on your videos that you're going to have a significantly smaller view count on people who are interested in watching your 4Runner videos, that's a whole different genre and a whole different subset of people it's basically trying to start a new channel over again and lure different viewers. Hopefully you'll get into something similar soon but I don't think your view count will be high on the 4Runner videos. I'll stay subscribed to your channel to see what happens down the road though👍
Thanks for the support. Yeah, that is unfortunate but I want to keep creating content even when my vehicles and life changes. I can't stick with this car forever. But I still want to do videos with other's Lexus builds. Or maybe get an ISF soon. Who knows! I know the 4Runner videos don't do as well, but RUclips doesn't pay much anyway. It is about the passion.
I hear you on the passion front!... you good at doing videos that's why I subscribed and I guess I'm a little biased because I have an ISF so that would be my vote😎... let me know if you're ever out in the Denver area👍
Hey Marty Sad to see you sell this car, I have done a ton of mods to my IS350 based of your videos! I was wondering where you get Toyota tech stream! And also did you ever have any issues with the VIP Motorz Headlights when you had them previously?
Bruh people in my area overprice these things. They would list this for $15k+ here in my state. Some people sell base models w/no packages asking for $8k.
Here in southern cali I just picked up a 2012 is350 f-sport black on black for $11gs. It has 123k miles but the car has been serviced all its life at the dealership. The is350 f sport are very rare in my area
Not trying to be mean but selling a car for $7500 is not going to significantly improve your financial situation we’re your ready to build a house, it would be much better to just keep the car and keep your channel broad instead of only having one vehicle.
I will be buying a house rather than building. The savings from selling (and not spending on mods and insurance and maintenance, registration, inspection etc) will help to have in the bank for closing costs, downpayment etc. My channel may suffer, but at the end of the day it is just RUclips and I have a full-time career. I can always get another car later, car loans are cheap lol.
I'm eyeing the same exact wheel and tire setup for my new '08 IS250 with standard (non F Sport) stock suspension. Should I worry about any rubbing (even if only with 3+ passangers)? I don't want to roll the fenders or do any other mods. Thanks, solid channel! ✌

You’ve been the best guide for someone that is new to customizing my car. So still learning but hope you can help. Appreciate for all you’ve done so far bro. Wish I could buy that car from you but instead you’ve inspired me to just modify mine. God bless
You inspired me to build my 2006 IS250.. Sad to see you selling it. I too am selling mine's. Im located in Houston tx if anybody if interested it looks similar to yours
Depends on the year but the 250 is either a 2.5L V6 or turbo 4cylinder. Lexus discontinued the 250 for the new 300 which is the turbo 4 or also a V6. The 350 has the highest powered V6.
Wait. If you have an aftermarket warranty, why aren't you fixing the ABS issue under warranty? Also, isn't it unsafe to be driving around with a faulty ABS and VSC?
I wanted to figure it out myself since I thought it would be easy, and the warranty covers parts and repair, but not diag costs. I will probably have Toyota look it over soon. And no, it's not unsafe. It has been like this for a while.

David Gerber I know what the issue is. the gears in the entire sunroof assembly are stripped. I have to buy a whole new assembly for like 200-300 bucks and swap it out, I just need to know how to get the headliner down and up without ruining it
Will those rims fit with the regular tire size for the 350 or do you recommend getting the tire size you put on them? Also did you guy use the regular lug nuts that came on the vehicle or bought a different set?
Hey! I used the regular stock tire size on my wheels since I only went about one inch wider. I recommend keeping the stock ratio so everything performs correctly like the speedometer. For aftermarket wheels, you have to buy different lug nuts and also hub ring adapters
Marty Motoring hi thanks for the response, and hub rings did you purchase them from option lab wheels as well? Also could you recommend a website for the lug nuts you used? Sorry for the all the questions. Wanna have my car built the same as yours.
Sure thing. OptionLab send me a set of hub rings I think - but leave it to a local tire tech to make some go missing. I bought more on Amazon along with the lugs: Lug Nuts: amzn.to/35K3dgF Hub Rings: amzn.to/35K37Wl
Hey Marty what is your hood wrapped with? My hood has a bunch of rock chips and I'm looking for a cheap alternative to flat out painting it and I have the same color as your car
Well i will miss u bro but i need a help with my rc 350 i want a good aftermarket rear spoiler do u know a good one or company who have it ? And thank u
It is direct injected, but the 350 is also port injected so that is not a problem. The intake valves are cleaned with the design of both styles of injection
I mentioned it in other videos but hanging onto my 4Runner and would like to get a house this year if the market is right! If not cars will be cheap and I’ll have good savings lol

Hi Marty, could you clarify. Is your 350 made in 2007 or are you usually referring to the model when your saying 2007
Uh it was probably manufactured in 2006 but is a 2007 model year. It was new in 2007
It’s a god damn entry level Lexus! He acts like it’s a fucking Bentley!
Lol not a Bentley but yes it’s a Lexus and a damn good car. It’s also the luxury package IS and fully loaded. Not a base model like the ES, but thanks.
What’s the link for the front grille black outline??
Brooo I have the exact same problem with the abs and traction and I wanna sell my car as well how do I fix it
Hey man I’ve been thinking about buying a 350 do you got any advice?
IMHO these (IS-350’s) are great little cars, Japanese reliability, Mercedes Benz luxury,
all the bells and whistles, and very decent performance. You’ll hear people
talk for days about horsepower, one car has this much, another has X, Y, and Z.
Listen, you put a 350 in “sport” mode and run it 0 - 60 in 5.5 seconds that’s
gonna be all the power and more than 90% of the American driving population
can, or knows how to handle. So sure, the ISF has 400 horsepower and the Dodge Demon has 7 million, that’s
great. But I very rarely encounter a car that leaves me in the dust and I don’t
know where you live, but these days running super high performance car any
where near its limits is damn near impossible. These cars go plenty fast when
pushed, handle well, and how does 25 mpg sound? With premium gas at 3.50 a
gallon a couple months back in CA it sounded REAL good to me. But you asked for advice and here’s mine: I bought my car through Carmax, 2008 with
125k. Now, they’re gonna hit you for high book on the price. But, the first 3
months or 4,000 miles they cover *everything* and I had my car back to
them 3 times with over 20 repairs. Nothing major, indicator lights, rear window
defrost was dead, headlight, gas trunk shocks, new front brakes, lots of little
nickel and dime stuff. I got a flat and they replaced the tire! But if I’d had
to pay for it all it would’ve cost well over a grand. And they gave me a loaner
every time, and did all the work with a smile.
I read that the water pump can run you a grand. And an oil leak at the timing
chain cover can set you back 3 large.
So I bought a 3 year warranty from them and tacked it on to the payment. Now if
something major breaks it’s their problem not mine. I drive the car and enjoy
it, and don’t have to worry.
nice. Where did you get the brushed wrap from
I’d buy it if you were in Canada
Hey where did you get your f sport exhaust axel back system and how’d you do the resonator delete?
Has anybody had issues with inside tire wear? I’ve heard is250s and 350s have issues with that. Looking to get an 07 is250 with 130k miles
They said its the engine has problems
Hey brother Ive seen reviews on your car just wondering if you still have it in based in LA I was interested if you still have the car.
How did you get the dark background on the touchscreen?
When you had your Lexus, did you experience excessive wear on the front tires?
Alignment
what brand and size lug nuts you running?
Hi do you still have the headlights?
Can you link me to where you bought your front lip splitter please?
Will you be willing to sell the stock headlights I’m interested.
My 350's sunroof motor went out, do you have any tips on how to get the headliner down without bending it and making it look. bad?
Wow. What year is yours and how many miles?
What's your symptoms
IS 4LIFE 2013 78k. I was surprised too
David Gerber I know what the issue is. the gears in the entire sunroof assembly are stripped. I have to buy a whole new assembly for like 200-300 bucks and swap it out, I just need to know how to get the headliner down and up without ruining it
What year is it?
2007
What kind of rotors did you have on them ?
how much you selling it for? i will come and buy it
Does the link for parts not work for anyone else?
Pls get a lc 500
I bought more on Amazon along with the lugs:
Lug Nuts: amzn.to/35K3dgF
Hub Rings: amzn.to/35K37Wl
hey dose is 350 have an open diff or LSD from factory?
Open diff. I know some ISFs had an LSD
Hey Marty what is your hood wrapped with? My hood has a bunch of rock chips and I'm looking for a cheap alternative to flat out painting it and I have the same color as your car

I’ll update the description of this video or make a new one
Price for stock and rear headlights?
Does this have the gdi engine where carbon builds up on the intake valves? If so, have you done any maintenance for that?
It is direct injected, but the 350 is also port injected so that is not a problem. The intake valves are cleaned with the design of both styles of injection
what are looking at getting after this???
I mentioned it in other videos but hanging onto my 4Runner and would like to get a house this year if the market is right! If not cars will be cheap and I’ll have good savings lol
Roughly how much did you spend on all the mods?
Hmm hard to say since some were discounted or sponsored but probably like $2500 over 3 years

Aftermarket warranty won't cover ABS?
They should yeah. I bit the bullet and paid the $100 diag and it needs a new ABS actuator for $2000. So waiting on the warranty to approve now
How did you do the vinyl wrapping on the center console and the door panels??
Just used some Vvivid Vinyl Brushed aluminum
