I really enjoyed your video. My daughter and I were there a few short weeks ago, and we loved every minute of it - we actually stayed at the Swahili House too. The people there were so friendly, as was everyone we met on the island. It was great seeing all the familiar sights of Stone Town, but it made me sad also. If I could have found a way to stay in Zanzibar I would have.

Let’s get things straight, so far this year I’ve spent $18,000 of my savings and risked that money making content for you every 2-3 days travelling across 3 countries by bus. I’ve earned $3,000 from RUclips so far in 6 months with no guarantee the views won’t drop if I don’t keep working hard. For this video I needed to film, edit, download from editing software, upload to RUclips, search engine optimise, distribute, and respond to your and everyone else’s comments. All of these other steps take another 10 hours or more for each video. Harry seemed like a cool guy and knew his stuff and I was so happy he walked me around for 45 minutes. That said, he got to promote his service to my audience for free and I paid him $10 which he agreed to (no1 forced him). It is part of the culture in Africa to bargain / negotiate. Regardless, my central point, is that it’s easy for you and others to sit back and watch my videos and then shit on my hard work by investing 30 seconds and no money writing an angry comment like this one. I’d encourage you to think about what you can do that is useful and positive (like risk your life savings to show people around countries they’ve never seen for example) instead of taking the lazy virtue signalling path of hating my videos in the comment section to make yourself feel like you’ve contributed something. You’re not fooling anyone, put in the hard work.
