WOW!!! This is so beautiful!!! Thanks for using my song 😍
Thank you!!! I love your work so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow this song is addicting and with the animation is just (˙˘˙)♡
Omg! Hi Oreo! Glad you saw this amazing animation w/ turn it down!! It's so good, and I'm glad you're both getting the recognition you deserve!!! :>
yayyy you saw it!
@Un Pez Loquendero oh hel
I can just imagine Dolores walking up to her door, thinking she's going to get a "wonderful" gift like Isabella, only to start hearing everything at once.
@@jellesea. well she clearly has anxiety here soooo not that far off… no she’s not insane but anxiety sucks… I relate to this song as a girl with autism who hears every little sound, and as a girl with an unrealistically ambitious father and grandmother (Abuela is scarily like my own grandmother and it is freaky) so yeah.
@@stephaniewhitaker3566 🙌🏿
@@stephaniewhitaker3566 Are you actually Dolores?!?
Excuse mé?
@@bugsbunny7598 what
I just realized, Dolores' mother can create storms without meaning to. Can you imagine the guilt Pepa must have felt when her daughter was crying because of a thunderous storm she inadvertently created ?
NO that makes it so much worse oh dear i can't even imagine the stress both her and her daughter go through every day.
Omg my HEART!!!! WHY DO YOU DO THIS?!?!?
Eso mismo pienso yo :(
@@inkblack195 Igual :c
Plus, based on Antonio, we can assume that the madrigals already had a trait that "foreshadowed" to their gift. I have really sensitive hearing and a lot of loud noise, especially voices, is really a trigger. Imagine having such an inconvenient trait increased by a million. It must be horrible.
This literally looks like a real deleted scene of the movie, and the song completes it. You're a fantastic animator!!!
Yeah
@@kj2745 Same
Love it!
"the roar of whispers in every crowd" that line literally hits so hard for some reason. I love how this song portrays her gift as more of a curse because think about it, what could does super hearing really do? That would be aweful. This animatic is AMAZING And i really wish something like this could have made it into the actual movie!!
Exactly, some things you just dont want to hear, both bad and good, no surprises for her, you'd have to write down every thing so she wouldnt hear about it, tho the family isnt very good at secrets anyway.
@@kittiesxthreemeow4695 imagine if she could figure out what was written just by the pencil making certain noises while on the paper.
As an autistic adult, I basically have her gift due to have ultra sensitive hearing. It really sucks
@@mysticalkeyblade759 I have Aspergers but same. My family is loud and it doesn’t make it better
Love the headcanon that she learned every single swear word before she even turned six
This... This is beyond amazing. The dancing, the emotion portrayed through facial expressions, The depiction of the door ceremony and tragedy of it, a scene I personally felt a shame wasn't in Encanto, and a missed opportunity with Dolore's character and it adding to the overall plot of the family's burden. Just. *chef's kiss*
Like you captured her character movements so well!!!
Thank you so much!!! I feel they might go into the cousin’s story arcs if they do a sequel at least!
trueeee
The moment you see Dolores as a child, you already feel sorry for her, knowing what awaits her.
@@thibautisserant yep.
The way she's trying to stop her past self from getting her gift while repeating "Turn it down" gives it a whole nother meaning.
Cause "Turn it down" used to mean "Turn down the noise, it's too loud." But now it's "Turn down the offer, it isn't worth it."
omg yes
I feel like Dolores never really speaks about how hard it must be to have her power. Sure, it’s used in the movie for good things most of the time but she never tells anyone how she must get tired of hearing every little thing. This song and vid really captures that and also is just plain amazing. Nice one!
If she could just get her hands on some noise canceling headphones.. But unfortunately i don't think they exist in their time period so she'd have to make do with some cotton in the ears somehow.
@@sundalosketch4769 apparently the movie takes place in the 1950s based on the outfits
Now that I think about it, it makes that she has a generally quite whispery tone too her voice. If she can hear a eye twitching imagine how loud her own voice sounds to her.
Yeah honestly, she has it tough
@Thomas Jefferson i think she always whispers because everything’s too loud for her
The moment she got her gift and you see her fall down in pain; you portrayed it so well! This animatic is seriously cool. I love the choreography too, it fits the aesthetic of the other musical numbers in the movie and I think it’s just awesome.
Thanks!!! I learned about what dances they incorporated for the movie and took references from Salsa and Cumbia dances 😁
^^^!!
@@ErinAguilar that’s awesome! It’s so cool that you worked so hard on this, and the work really payed off! This animation was amazing 🤩
That's basically my reaction to loud noises
I love the ceremony flashback at the end. Dolores watching her innocent young self receive her “gift” really shows the intense burden of having a Madrigal power. My favorite animatic by far!
(Poor Dolores😥❤️)
I wanna give her noise cancelling headphones for her birthday and give her a hug 🫂🤗
She was probably the only Madrigal who wouldn't entirely be opposed to losing the gift. Her and maybe Peppa
@@Quinton_ovo_ peppa pig xd
@@Quinton_ovo_ hey Bruno wouldn't say no to not having a gift
yeah i feel like the animatic added a double meaning to the lyrics that wasn't originally there, which was amazing. Like, she's saying "turn it down" to her former self, as in turn down the gift because it's not gonna bring you happiness.
The way this transitions between more "reality" and the surreal "everybody is dancing now" makes it feel like it really could fit in the movie along the other songs. Seeing little Delores is heartbreaking.
It breaks my heart to see how happy, excited and proud of herself young Dolores looks (since it was probably the first time since Isabela's ceremony when the attention was on her) and how she falls to the floor when she receives her gift 😢 This animatic is amazing, it definitely deserves more attention!
When it is canon that Dolores is In Isabela’s shadow despite being the same age.
Dolores is a few months younger, so Isabela is the oldest grandkid and has had her ceremony first - hence why she is the "golden child" (she also resembles Abuela the most, so there's that).
Also, when you look at portraits from their ceremony days (near Abuela's room), you can see that Isabela is the only one that Abuela hugs, while she just stands next to the other grandkids.
THE PLAY ON WORDS WITH "TURN IT DOWN" BECOMING SOMETHING LIKE "DONT ACCEPT THE GIFT" IS AMAZING-
I may be digging to far into it but when Dolores says "can someone please just turn it down" while watching her ceremony it's almost like she wants someone to stop it. And... That's an amazing interpretation of the lyrics.
It is and it really makes the song fit even more as a "deleted scene" from the movie.
Maybe that's why she's one of the nicest ones to Mirabel? Maybe, she kinda sees her not having a gift to be a blessing in disguise?
This is Disney levels of quality, holy freaking mol. Especially the dance sequence at “I can hear your fear, I can make it disappear” and at the end with the madrigals. My jaw dropped. Incredible stuff here. You took the song and elevated it!
Time stamps
1. 1:23
2. 3:02
I will get you to a hospital get in the ambulance to make sure your jaw is ok
(Yes I wooshed myself)
I can it it dissapear
This song is so tragic. The fact she has to deal with this on a daily when I find it overwhelming for simply three minutes of view time. As an autistic person who finds noise to be a trigger of adrenaline i sympathise so much with the tragicness of Dolores’s story as she didn’t ask to feel possible migraines every day, to hear everybody’s troubles but not know what to do about them, to know things she wished she didn’t, to feel on a daily basis that her ears are flooding with noise like she’s at a concert. But she has this ‘gift’ and after seeing the cool ones her other family members before her got it must’ve been so painful for her to get the worst gift of them all. The noise in the background of the music is chillingly haunting (OR30 has a lot of talent to be sure) and the animation here really shows just how painful it must be and how overwhelming noise can be to sensitive ears.
Me too
DANG. The effort that went into this. I can't even imagine how much time went into making the lip movements line up, let alone those flow dance moves! And when the whole room disappeared except the grandchildren. AND THEY MOVED TOGETHER! It showed how perfect and puppeted the whole family is to keep up appearances. Also the way Dolores stood above the crowd. When I first listened to the song I imagined the group of villagers were gossiping in a circle, but flashing between multiple groups of people helped send home the fact everyone in town thought something was up. THE CRACKS EXPANDING! The pan shot between Bruno to Dolores through the crack! It was all so cool! GREAT JOB! And thank you for sharing it with us all. :D
Thank you, and of course!! I’m so glad you caught the perfomative symbolism with the grandkids!

her room isnt soundproof which makes it more horrible, as when she was in bed she said that she could hear Luisa's eye twitching all night.

To me, this is the most realistic animatic of Turn It Down I've seen! Realistic, in terms of what could actually be in a Disney movie. I personally feel like this is something that really fits the Encanto ambience and could truly be in it. Just amazing, especially the dances and how you portray the gift as a curse, the scene with the cracking walls and the vision of her little self when she got her gift really struck me with those feelings :')
Congrats, I love it!
So many wonderful details in this! I really appreciate how Dolores and Mirabel are the only ones with their eyes open in the cousins' dance sequence. Like only Mirabel and Dolores are aware of/acknowledging the burden that can come with the "gifts". That ending sequence flashback was so powerful!
3:15 This is so awesome, i feel like you've inserted a double meaning in here that I dunno if it was intended or not, but basically she's asking for the sound to disappear, but also she's asking her former self to "turn down" the gift and not touch the door. That was literally genius!!! Also all the dance sequences were amazing, the whole vibe felt really cluttered, just like how the song felt too loud. It was so perfect! I think you captured dolores' mannerisms super well! This is an amazing animatic
Thank you!!! And yes! Good job catching that! I like hiding little meanings in my work so there’s a couple of intentional choices made here that symbolize different things.
Sensory overload is not easy to explain to ppl who never experienced it, so I did my best to illustrate chaos during Dolores’ more distressing parts and contrast it to her moments of peace where she’s just dancing alone. Here’s an unintentional mistake that I think played really well in the end; I, for some reason, tended to be neater with my lineart during the sections she sings alone, but got a little messier in parts like the beginning and even more so at the end. Maybe it was a subconscious choice, but idk, maybe it was laziness 😂
Sorry for the long paragraph, I just love symbolism and intentional little choices and adding it wherever I can to tell a story beyond the song 😅
Yeah, that was really neat lol. Hmm, now I'm wondering if it's possible to reject one's Gift? Like, if they never touched that doorknob would they not get powers or would they still get powers just without the whole ceremony and magic door? Is that how the triplets discovered their Gifts? I mean after all, before that there were no gifted Madrigals so how would Abuela know to have the kids touch their doorknobs to get their Gifts? Did Casita somehow communicate it to her? Why do the Madrigals get their Gifts when they are five and not as soon as they are born? Dammit, now I'm speculating lol.
ty for mentioning that lol, I wouldn't have noticed it-
@@PiePierrot I mean the house could probably just force them all to a bunch of doors until they eventually figure out what they are supposed to do
@@PiePierrot Perhaps they get their gift when they're 5 so the Casita "knows" what sort of gift to give them. I'm not sure if it's Casita that decides the blessing, but perhaps whatever makes the decision would need some time to learn what that Madrigal's best interest is. For example, when Pepa was younger, her mood may have been affected by the weather, so her gift was her mood affecting the weather. Another example is with Antonio. We see Mirabel giving Antonio an animal plush, and his gift later was being able to communicate with animals. I'm not sure this may be right because I don't know how any interest could align with Bruno seeing the future. Maybe he was really good at piecing things together and knowing a possibility of the outcome. But this is my theory.
Yoooo!! I’m been watching the progress through Tiktok and I’m happy to see it here!! Wonderful job on capturing the song through animation!! 💚👌🏻

when i tell you that seeing her visible shock and repulsion to the initial reception of her gift because everything was suddenly excruciatingly loud made me sob, i am not lying.
There's a theory I've heard of, where when Dolores received her "gift", during the firework portion of the ceremony, she lost hearing in one ear because of how loud it was for her.
Omg that would be so painful nooo poor thing!! I hope she would have some kind a sound proof hat or like headphones to go with outside of her room :(
@@br1gh7y Yeah, another major theory with Dolores is that her room is soundproofed, which would make sense.
@@synsvids wasn't it officially confirmed?

@@br1gh7y kind of? one of the directors said that she'd at least have "some" soundproofing, if i remember correctly. but the way he said it makes me think it doesnt do a lot for her.
Oh my god, I am obsessed with the way her dress moves as she dances! It must have been so hard to animate it... And the last scene with Dolores having her ceremony... Chills, literal chills!
I honestly think this is one of the best animatics I've ever seen. The expressions of the characters, the movements and the *DANCING!* God the dancing is too amazing it's actually scary to think how long it took you to perfect it. Also the story is clear and feels like it could have been in the actual movie!
This whole animation is wonderful, but Dolores helplessly watching her younger self receive her gift really gets me.
I just noticed how the animatic depicts Dolores’s pov spanning the length of most of the movie. Like it starts from the tail end of “Family Madrigal” and continues up until the aftermath of the disaster dinner.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here and watching this!! I’m so proud of this and I’m so happy y’all enjoyed watching. Thank you ❤️
I literally enjoyed this so much! You have no idea how much I was anticipating this! You did amazing!
mhm!
You’re like incredibly underrated! Your animations and adding Dolores’s backstory of her getting her gift were masterpieces 👌🏽 Keep it up. . . And don’t turn it down!
That was the perfect animation it looks like a reall delated scene of encanto
Good job ❤
@olivia that’s a bit passive aggressive lol. Yes it is tho
I love that she’s trying to stop her younger self during her ceremony since she knows how much of a curse her ‘blessing’ actually is
Finally an animatic that can actually be translated into something that looks like what 3D Disney movies do, instead of doing transitions that can only be done in 2D
I love that you added her door ceremony into this. That’s something I didn’t even think about, how she felt right when she got the power. Poor thing deserved this song in the movie.
So excited to watch this!
Update: OMG THIS WAS AMAZING Everything ABOUT THIS! THE TRANSITIONS THE ZOOM INS THE DANCING AAA ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! Appreciate how much time you’ve put into this. Got to be one of my favorites animatics!

Honestly this shows how Dolores has a hard time she’s a underrated character and I feel bad for her gift! This animation is awesome the moves and everything
As a person who loves animation and learning it, this is amazing, especially love when she dances, it captures her character so well and the body movements with hand gestures are just *chef kiss*
I absolutely LOVE the ending bit with little Dolores, where the music goes quite before bombing back in. I had always wondered what her reaction had been as a child to have a sudden onslaught of NOISE compound her ears all at once.
And also, the bit with the five characters dancing in sync? FANTASTIC job on conveying the general movement of the choreography, I was really impressed with how similar it was to how actual dancer would leap and then go into the roll. Very well done on this animatic!
This is such a spectacular animatic! You drew everyone beautifully and I love how detailed this is!
Thank you so much!!!!!
0:47 They really just wrote, “abuela’s door” GIRL I CANT-
She’s not worth a doodle
3:34 oh my god, this part is amazing, it matched with the beat drop that you can almost feel what dolores felt when she received her blessing
The ending with Dolores following the memory of her younger self getting her gift was truly a touch of genius.
This is amazing, but the part where Dolores sees the ghost of her past self receiving her "gift" was spine-chilling! Just absolutely amazing! :D
This just reenforces my belief that Dolores HAS to have some kind of soundproof "safe haven" somewhere in her room. She has to have some place to go when everything just gets to be too much. Please, let this be true, Dolores is such a sweet person, she needs a safe place to just let go & unwind. 🙏🙏🙏
I wish, but then how would she hear Luisas eye twitching
1:15 Ok this was perfectly storyboarded
I've watched a couple of these fan animatics and I got to say, yours is the most true to the source material.
It genuinely looks like an animatic you would pitch to disney and the people responsible for Encanto.
You've incorporated important elements of the film so elegantly and still fit in your own personal touch without the latter taking over.
Wow. Just Wow. HUGE thumbs up!
This is incredible! The amount of work you put into the movements, the twirls of her skirts! The dance sequence! It looks like it could be a panel layout put forward in the studio for the movie - the way everything worked together on the screen!
THE FACT THAT ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MADRIGAL KID DANCED

This is definetly one of the better Animatics I have heard regarding the "Turn it Down" song! I could totally see this in the actual movie! This is amazing!
Okay, THIS is my favorite Turn it Down animatic. The choreography and movement are especially amazing, fitting perfectly into the other musical numbers in the movie. And that addition of little Dolores getting her gift!! Ugh, so good.
3:33 part was amazing, the sudden roar of being able to hear everything and everyone and being so overwhelming and the fact that to this onwoards, you can't turn it down.
i really hope this will blow up since it's one of the best turn it down animatic out there. Truly a masterpiece!!
3:13 love the flashbacks scene especially 3:32. Talk about "be careful what you wish for "
Thoes 🎇fireworks 🎆 in her own ceremony must be _really_ painful the first time she heard it with ther gift
I don't really know why people are asking for a fully animated version. This is perfectly animated enough for me and it's a very beautiful version of turn it down animatics!
Legitimately you could've told me this was part of the original vision for the song, it's staged SO WELL
I love her dancing!! It looks like it was a storyboard from the actual movie!! This is so amazing!!!
Omg this is like a canon the sketch of a scene in encanto its soo good!
2:36 BEST PART OMG
This is THE BEST ANIMATIC I've seen created for this song. The expression in everything: lines, faces, body language - all of it is amazing! The action, the dancing movement, the dress physics - masterpiece! Looks like an official Disney storyboarding, or even better! You deserve so much recognition, this is beyond amazing! You not only have done the justice to the amazing song, but you added your flavors which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Thank you so much, wishing you all the best!
The dancing, the facial expressions, the composition and detail of this all blew me away! Amazing! Loved the part at the end where Dolores sees her younger self
This is incredible! Everything about it just makes me want to see more. The part that really got me was her ceremony, seeing the pain from her getting her extraordinary hearing for the first time.
When young Delores started walking up to get her gift, I literally shouted "No!"
I also can't help but notice how sad Mirabel looks at 3:00 😢
The scene during which Dolores touches the door knob to receive her gift and gets a rush of anxiety from suddenly hearing everything hits deep
THE WAY YOU MADE HER HAVE A FLASHBACK AND THEN MADE THE FINAL BEAT DROP WHEN SHE MANIFESTS HER POWERS WAS CHEF'S KISS
This actually sounds like a song from the movie, if Encanto ever hits broadway they gotta do a song like this!
Part of that is due to Adessa (Deloris' VA) singing this song. Or3o is also a great songwriter
It doesnt fit at all tho
@@Boxofcare666 i guess cuz its different va except dolores
always thought that at 1:28 at the "not unless they break the spell" line, Dolores should have a suspicious or malicious look on her face.
I've always interpreted that line as "Break the spell of the miracle". So she'll keep any secret, unless that secret could lead to the candle going out and getting rid of her super-hearing.
The fact Dolores' actress actually reprised her role for this fan song is still amazing to me.
Omg, as a colombian who was born, raised, and still lives in colombia , and learned english, THIS IS AMAZING LIKE HOLY MOLY

Ahhhh you captured everyone's personality so well, all the movements are also creative and very well done!!
The scene where she tried to stop her younger self is so deep and yet so fitting with the film theme, amazing job
I just. The moment she saw herself walking to the door and suddenly "turn it down" sounds like a plea to herself to turn the gift away I got literal chills.
Wow, this was so well made! I LOVE THIS! Like I can imagine Dolores walking up to her door, and thinking that she's gonna get a "wonderful" gift like Isabela herself, but only to start by hearing everything at once.
This animatic was so actually cool, and I also love the choreography too, and it even also fits so well with the aesthetic of the other musical numbers in the movie and I just think it’s awesome. best animatic so far!
They didn’t give one of the most deep characters a song and you made what it would be like in the visuals this is amazing:)
I absolutely adore this!!! Not only is the art good, but it actually feels like it is a storyboard for the movie!!! The creativity and how similar it is to the movie’s style is amazing! And I loved that you included the dancing it adds so much to it, even more than I’m latina too :)
the end with her as a child... omg the whole thing. I have been blessed 🙏
OK the way mini dolores got her gift just hit me in the heart with a sharp knife
Oh, I love how Mirabel was the only one to have her eyes open- the only one to see they were in trouble and to see gifts didn't have to be everything
Good job catching that!! I wanted the scene to represent all the kids that had to blindly follow Abuela’s orders, which is why Antonio wasn’t there (him having his gift the least amount of time therefor not having too much burden on his shoulders). But while Mirabel also did as Abuela told, she wasn’t forced into a specific role (strong one, perfect one, etc.) So she’s more aware of those roles from everyone, and thus begins to be more aware of their struggles. Dolores is unique in that she is both. Shes forced in a role and she’s aware of everyone’s struggles.
Sorry for the paragraph, I just love symbolism 😄
@@ErinAguilar the paragraph was a pleasant surprise!
This was truly well-done. Everything fits so well. I just hope this gets notice by the Disney executives or even just LMM.
omg this animatic literally looks like when they were making the sketches for encanto before they made the 3d things
I literally hope disney gets inspo from this and make the animation 3d
This really shows how Delores would’ve made such a fantastic main antagonist
Bro the smoothness and transitions throughout this animatic is incredible, the details are incredible!!
WOAHHH!! This is soooo good, if Disney were to make this a real thing this is exactly how i imagine it would be animated, well done this is so good!
Seriously, the dance routine, the drawings… it’s all beyond perfect. Favourite animatic!
THAT DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY ANIMATION WAS AMAZING
wow, your relly good at fabric movements. the dance sequence neer the end was amasing!
i love how you showd her younger self geting the gift
the crack spreding was so well done and had an amasing affect!
i also love ho you showd her listining in on camilo and isabella.
this was amasing (sorry if its a bit long im just so impressed!)
Yoo! This was amazing to watch! I love the expressiveness of all the characters but especially Delores. (Which makes sense, as she's the focus character of the song.) The compositions were excellent and the chorography was well done. Loved the addition of Delores thinking of when she got her gift and how well you used the Casita space. Great job!
The saddest but best part of this song is that the background noises of people talking stop only when the other characters are singing
LOVE LOVE LOVE
I love that the music, especially the beat is LOUD and has whispers in the background; it is like she is trying to sing through all the noise she hears. It is super symbolic in that way.
I also wonder if she was jealous of Mirabel, I mean even without this song her gift always did seem like more of a curse, it makes me wonder if she had sometimes wished to be like Mirabel, a Madrigal with no gift. Like if she would sometimes think to herself, "now that I know what my gift is, I rather wish I didn't receive one at all". Then Mirabel comes, doesn't get a gift and literally lives the life she wishes she had.
Like how the one she liked was to be with "Ms. Perfect", at least she got that one at the end.
this is probably the best animatic of this i have ever seen!
You captured everything perfectly. I love it!!!
This is the best animatic of this song I've ever seen! It's amazing in every aspect! ✨
