Everybody knows that Honda built an S800 in the sixties, but did you know that Toyota did too? This is the story of how it evolved from the Publica Sports concept of 1962 and went into production - but for the Japanese market only.

I first saw this car from my favorite animated TV series titled Gatekeepers, this is the car that Shun Ukiya owned and drive. I didn't expect that it is an iconic car from Toyota.

The alternator on that car looks almost as big as the engine. Is that original ?
