- Well, it's time to tell you about the main hero of the Japanese automotive industry! About the one who occupied and still occupies the first places in various top lists of Japanese automakers! Moreover, in 2008, this company became the largest car manufacturer in the world for the first time, overtaking the monster General Motors! In the world!!!
Brand slogans have long been entrenched among car brands. "Honda - manage reality", "Nissan - exceeding expectations", "Ford - feel the difference", "Kia - the art of surprise", "Mitsubishi - changes for the better"... But there is one advertising slogan of a Japanese car company, which tells as accurately as possible about how it all started and what motivated the creators ... "Toyota - manage the dream!". Without exaggeration - a dream! After all, this story began with a dream. An incredible story. Many people call Toyota a miracle of the 20th century! But there is not any miracle here. There is plenty of perseverance, character and will to achieve goals!
So, let's get to know the company that produces some of the most reliable cars on the planet! Meet Toyota company, or rather, Toyota Motor Corporation! The main member of the modern corporation "Toyota Group".
It is not surprising if this story can seriously motivate some of you in your endeavors. And maybe due to this motivation a miracle of the 22nd century will appear once! Please find us when this happens and thank us! At the very least, send a postcard. Now let's move on to the story itself...
Toyota deserves it's success... Great reliable cars that go on forever
“Reliable” mark sailor died in a Toyota due to a stuck accelerator
@@woodentrainseriesofficial9511 Same my car did to rip my dad :c.
@@guywithideas9561 rip ☹️
@@woodentrainseriesofficial9511 I could list countless defects on Ford,GM, and Chrysler vehicles that killed people and how dirty the cover ups were. Nice Try !
@@woodentrainseriesofficial9511 was a vendor floormat that caused the accelerator to stick. Not anything Toyota did. Toyota took the brunt of the blame for it though.
Undoubtedly Toyota is a synonym of reliability a car which out ages even it's owners and goes on and on and on.
Toyota cars are the best car you would ever drive with out having a lots of headaches . Thanks GOD for giving Mr Toyota such great inventions.
The two pillars of the Toyota way of doing things are "Kaizen" (the philosophy of continuous improvement) and respect and empowerment for people, particularly line workers! Both are absolutely required in order for lean to work!
Tesla inc just registered for the trademark "The Greatest Car Ever." Very, very interesting. Brilliant marketing move for the entire brand.
The Kaizen philosophy was brought about by Edward Deming who originally tried to give it to American companies. When they rejected it, Deming brought it to the Japanese who accepted it and as a result Japan has become a better automobile maker than America.
@@kimberleestack589 And so far Teslas score really low in reliability and customer satisfaction lol. They're also god-awful in terms of fit and finish. Trademarking it the greatest car ever is ridiculous. If anything, the Corolla is the greatest car ever. Proven reliability, and the most sold car in the entire world.
@@glennso47are you sure? I just searched it on google and it said Masaaki Imai came up with the idea which make sense since the whole idea of lean( including Kaizen) comes from japan and Toyota.
Proud to be a toyota employee
Yosh!

Our 2002 Toyota Highlander has been the very best automobile we have ever had. Just turned 81,000 miles last week and we will celebrate it's 20 years with us at the end of June 2022. Just replaced the alternator and the air conditioning compressor. By the way, it has the very best A/C we've ever had, too. Thanks, Toyota of El Cajon!
Only 81,000? That thing has atleast 20 years left
Wow so my American Car The Camero with 900,000 mile same engine. Beats that. Plus my Impala with 250,000. Same Alternator. And tranny
@@TheRayvin6 I hope, especially with crazy car prices now and lousy selection. All the best.
Inflation is killing my budget and my salary, I can't invest and it seems like I will need to sell a part of my stock portfolio to keep my head above the water this time. "Stock and Crypto"
81k miles in 20years is less for my type
Amazing, awesome cars. Been driving Toyota since I learn how to drive. Currently using Toyota Highlander! Thanks for the most reliable, efficient car. God bless Toyota!
And me driving a 2004 ‘rolla with 485,000 miles

Your video was super informative and represented in a really engaging way!!
Our family mostly owned Toyota, a very reliable automobile
and a scumbag of a car maker .....toyota sucks
So nice.
We have two Toyota plants in North Alabama. The second one has brought in an economic boom. Add in all the other folks setting up shop, we can't build houses fast enough.
This is where Toyota is making a mistake. Building cars in places like Alabama and Mexico is leading to a decline in quality. Those people don't give a rip about building a quality vehicle. Keep as much of the manufacturing in Japan as possible.
@@majed6956 Believe it or not. They are so strict, a third of the folks that make it through the hiring process; they are gone within 90 days.
I think what was missed here was some parts of the Toyota vehicles were contracted to suppliers such as batteries, tires, seats, spark plugs, condensers, windshields, weather-stripping, and the like. If Toyota focused on the manufacture/production on those minor parts, it did not have much to do on its reliability. Maintenance therefore was easy and cheaper for replacement parts. Toyota also opened a market for the suppliers in that case. Compared to other country car manufacturers who manufactured almost every single part, they had more concerns. That started the OEM thing that cost much higher compared to "OEM" parts of Toyota that was supplied by their accredited/authorized parts manufacturers. My two cents piece.
Awesome video! You got yourself a new subscriber here. Keep it up.

I would like to give the Japanese car manufacturers credit for one thing they really shook the car industry by providing the automatic transmission power steering air conditioning and power windows
what in the hell are you talking about?....american cars had all of this years before toyota
You didn't know Oldsmobile sold the first car auto transmission(they also invented the airbag also), GM\Dupont invented Freon AC, Pierce-Arrow invented power steering, Packard -power windows.... I take it?
Where are you from ?

oh yeah the japanese cars back in the day were really advanced allright.my grandmother had a 1971 datsun pickup she bought new, no radio 4 speed stick transmission . manual pull out choke like a lawnmower.drum brakes that would lock up prematurely. i inherited that deathtrap when i was 16 and promptly got rid of it.

I love my Toyota corolla 11th Generation face-lift. Great car, not fancy but works like charm. Good fuel economy and comfortable ride.
Wait I thought there slogan was let’s go places
You missed a lot. The name of the company was toypet loom, their truck motor in world 2 was very much like a chevy 235 6. They also made bombs that were sent up by balloon, they started many fires on the west coast and killed campers. They were also working on a jet engine and a atomic bomb, the company calls this the dark years. In 1958 the toy pet came to the USA and was soon gone. Then in 1968 with a name change to Toyota they came back to The USA, the cars were much the same as they were in 58, the crona and the crown, the latter did not sell very well.
*You're completely FULL OF CRAP!*
( *ALL internal-combustion gasoline-powered engines are 'a lot a like'* )
*The 'balloon' weapon was a total bust and never killed anyone, never mind being any sort of 'credible weapon'...most of the ones that spanned the Pacific landed in Canada, and few were found in mountainous areas in the Sierra Nevada Mts.*
____________
Japan had NO ABILITY AT ALL to create a nuclear weapon since there were no resources for fissile materials anywhere in the Pacific region*
*They did have a more or less 'Research Committee Dept.' under military authority and that Dept. did research on blackboards and that was all they could do*
( *What the hell are you...13 or something?* *Or some demented old ass-hat re-writing sensational drivel from magazines in '50's?* )
My first car was an early 1970s Toyota Corona 'deluxe'. I forget what engine but it was a 4 door sedan and had a manual transmission. For its day it was a pretty good car.
Toyota corona?

Yep Toyota corona. Its still around tho in my country
My first car was a dark brown 71 Toyota Corona Deluxe with a manual clutch. It drove forever! I have had a 94 Toyota pickup and now we currently have a 97 4Runner Limited and a 20 Tacoma TSS.
I'm looking for Scotty Kilmer in the comments...

The Toyota A, AA &c. Were similar to the 1934 Chrysler, as was the Volvo Carioca in 1936. Service Motor Co. Brought 3 Toyopet Crowns to Honolulu for sale in Dec. 1957.
Maybe that is because Japan confiscated the US car factories in Japan and kicked the US companies out. Toyota was probably one of the companies who got the factory and they likely just copied the car the US was assembled there or simply as the newby, copying is alot easier than making your own.
@@h.mandelene3279 Dodge cars were assembled in Japan before they were a Chrysler brand.
@@h.mandelene3279 Japan confiscated U.S. auto plants in Japan when the War commenced. They had encouraged the plants as a good way to learn the industry. They had purchased some Depression broken firms, notably Graham-Paige and manufactured them for the Japanese market.

Actually, Toyota can thank USA as they were getting their butt kicked by US car makers exporting cars to Japan. Toyota was loosing money. So Thanks to supplying WW2, sales went up, they became profitable and Toyota grew from there.
lets not forget it was an american who went to japan and showed them how to build a vehicle
