One of the best videos I've watched this year. Keep it sailing and fair winds!
I have no idea how I ended up watching that video, but I really enjoyed it. Keep on exploring and and building things!
Such a relaxing presentation and a nice boat
I am planning to build a sailing canoe and must think about the features I want. A tent is a must have feature now, so that I may have a good time indeed.
Yes it can be done
Some good ideas, thanks
Bravo!
thats a nice video!
Have you figured a way to do this at anchor on the water to avoid crime, wildlife, and police?
I note that the Wechsel Pathfinder is not cheap, so the advice that people don't like it and sell it on is useful!
You seem to have cut the cockpit hole asymmetrically in the ground sheet but you didn't comment on that; I'm wondering if the port hand 'shelf' gives good storage while sleeping?
This solution would not work afloat due to the poles to ground. Any thoughts on sleeping afloat? The fear of capsize due to internal negligence or external accident/interference seems more reasonable in a canoe than a dinghy!
Hi @tomedom5107, I think you nailed it. Port hand shelf is very useful, starboard shelf should not be loaded heavily in front of the entrance. With a canoe of about 25 kg cartop weight, I don't think much about sleeping afloat and tend to convince myself that it would be shaky and noisy, compared to sleeping on the beach.
