    "I tried to make a hunting knife out of rusty wrenches I didn't even bother to clean because I have no idea what I'm doing and screwed it up, so I decided that instead of owning my mistake I'd just lie for views" fixed the title for you.

    • @vcommandarv5916
      @vcommandarv5916 Год назад +1

      Yeah he should've cleaned them then put them in a steel box full of flux and iron oxide and welded that box shut, and maybe pressed it instead of hammering, i think he would've succeeded then 🤔
      Edit: and maybe surface grinded the wrenches to make them flat?

      Did anyone in this thread stop to think that maybe it wasn’t about the functionality of the creation but simply what he made of it?? People would still pay hundreds for it just because someone took the time to make it with their own hands. Try appreciating the work of others instead offering criticism.

    What happened to the wrenches? I'd have thought that to forge weld items with so much space you'd need a canister and filler like a powdered steel, otherwise you'd never be able to get rid of the occlusions.

      But would be of ZERO benefit when attempting to use such dirty metal as was used here, hence why a completely new steel billet appears at 5minutes.

    Gotta love how many people pass off 90-99% machining to 1-10% smithing as 100% smithing. Not even gonna start on all the other obvious problems in this video.

    You could actually hear the delamination, and see it.
    Admit it was a failure and you'll earn the respect and loyalty from fans. Lie to them and you'll quickly find yourself irrelevant. This video was a lie. Don't be that guy.

    What is the powder he puts on the hot metal? And what does it do to the metal? Is it necessary to use? Thanks.

    It is made of wrenches.... or Flux? I've never made a knife in my life, but knew this was wrong from the start.
