      Most likely, a fan nearby. I can tell you from several personal experiences at VGK games, I’ve never seen so many people gift other fans stuff at a game. First NHL game? Someone will probably get you something if they overhear it. Birthday? Someone’s gonna get you something. Happens all the time here.

    • @marksmith5883
      @marksmith5883 2 дня назад +2

      No. That was the in arena staff/team.
      They do stuff like that all the time when people are struck by a object.
      You can see the staff go rushing over after a object leaves the playing area.
      I've seen jerseys, hats, and tons of stuff given away.
      For this one it's a kids size replica goalie mask/helmet.
      This would have been the arena.

    • @marksmith5883
      @marksmith5883 2 дня назад +1

      And now that I've watched it, the Penguins announcers (Bob Errey) was saying the teams are looking over and then that the in arena staff was checking on him.
      Even Crosby was looking over at him while a teammate was talking to him on the bench.
      What was nice about the people there is that they made sure he got his puck.

      @@michaelperkins3003 I'm sorry, this is the dad's fault now? nobody, at any sporting event, should have to worry about getting hit by a flying projectile going incredibly fast. A lot of the time you can't even see the puck, and when you do you have little to no time to react. Also, like I said, the puck is going incredibly fast. Dozens of miles per hour. If the father had, miraculously, been able to evaluate the situation, then putting his hand out to stop the puck would simply force his hand into the kids face.

      @readytotaxi Yes, Dad fault. Have you ever been to a game? Very few EVER make it into the crowd. It IS possible to follow the puck at all times. One time in 50 years that I have been going to games, did one come my way and myself and another guy deflected it. This is only impossible if slamming bears and being on the phone is a bigger priority. I have seen ppl CATCH pucks, because they were paying attention to why they were there in the first place.

Hit some guy in the head (I heard it cracked his skull). He was taken to the hospital. I believe it was reported that LaFleur went to the hospital after the game and signed the puck for him. :)
