    I JUST DID A DYNO TUNE FOR $600 ON MY TRITON 155 HP 402 NM AT THE WHEELS BOOST WAS 19PSI NOW ITS 22.4 PSI . KEPT IT TAME FOR RELIABILITY.
    BUT WE DID A HOT RUN TO 28PSI IT DID 205HP AND 506NM ATW WITH STOCK EXHAUST. I DIDNT WANT IT THAT BOOSTED COZ OF RELIABILITY. BUT THEY ARE A STRONG MOTOR FOR SURE. I LOVE THE TUNABILITY OF THIS ENGINE. RACED A V8 CRUISER TUNED AND BIG EXHAUST AND GOT HIM BY A CAR LENGTH TO 140KPH
    EVEN HE WAS SURPRISED
    WHEN WE PULLED UP AGAIN.

    The 3.2 was the best motor in a Triton, I'd go as far sas saying its the best modern 4cyl diesel around. Has loads of torque and is very reliable

    Tip, don’t mount the chip plug inverted, the plug will collect water and dust and will work it’s way down the cables into the unit

I have a 2014 2.5lt 178hp triton, put 33” on it and i feel some strugle with power now, i m in argentina not really a lot of places here i would trust to get tunning done, i was thinking about replacin to stainless exhaust and a chip, any other auggestion from your experience to get more power but kee reliability!

    Why chip it when you can use ecutek and tune the actual ecu and turn the egr off completely and tune via torque tables and not raise fuel pressure like the chips do.

    • @4x4CampingandAdventures
      @4x4CampingandAdventures  5 лет назад

      The chip didn't raise fuel pressure at all. It tricks the ECU to raise boost and the tuner adjusts the fuel mixture to handle the bigger air flow coming into the engine.

    • @S4CKED
      @S4CKED 5 лет назад +3

      @@4x4CampingandAdventures to raise mixtures you need to adjust injection timing that cant be done with a torqit chip they lie to map sensor and raise rail pressure. I tune these for a living and ecutek is the most realiable way and safest way to go. Just check out my channel and you will see it's my every day job iv tested and used all these types of chips and data logged everything on the dyno via obd and they do raise fuel rail pressure. Best way is ecu remap and it will be even more of a animal if done correctly

      It sounds good but 8 months on and not a single issue with the car it was a very safe tune when we went about it that's why I didn't go big numbers, reliability is my number one concern I would abosolutly agree ecu tune is the way to go but at the time I didn't have a place to get it done so we went with the next best thing. But it recently Dynoed and pulled the same numbers as it did the day it was tuned so I am pretty happy with the whole thing.

    Hey mate awesome video. It making some good numbers. How did u find the turbo lag in real world driving compared to stock? does it eliminate it or just make it come on boost harder? How does it drive on the sand now?

    • @4x4CampingandAdventures
      @4x4CampingandAdventures  5 лет назад +1

      Hey mate so it boosts up quicker but this is due to the snorkle and airbox we gained 200 RPM so it kicks in earlier don't get me wrong put it in the wrong gear and it will be laggy like anything with a turbo. But it definitely comes on boost better across the whole rev range. I haven't done much sand driving yet but I'll be making a video soon about it.

    • @ronincrabbapple3895
      @ronincrabbapple3895 5 лет назад

      @@4x4CampingandAdventures Ok. But it does drive better than stock on 32s or about the same?. What brand of chip did you use and why didnt you get a remap? What kinda of fuel economy are u getting before and after. Would you ever consider changing your diff ratios to suit the bigger tyres or is the tune quite enough? Cheers

    • @4x4CampingandAdventures
      @4x4CampingandAdventures  5 лет назад +1

      Hey mate few questions there but I'll give it a go
      I went with a Tune because the chip is fully customisable in my opinion there was no need for a full remap
      The chip is called , Chip it
      I won't be getting Diff gears it's good enough with the tune
      Fuel economy is better on long distance but not much maybe 40-50 KS extra in a tank around town it's the same unless you get on it.
      I have 33s so the car did drive better on the 32s but the problem I has was clearance when I was offroading so I went the biggest tyres I could.

    i really like triton's. it's just a shame i can't comfortably get in one or sit in one. my head hits the roof trying to get in and the seat base is not big enough for my butt. just can't imagine doing long touring trips being so uncomfortable. hard to find a modern dualcab that comfortably seats bigger adults. it's fine if you are graham cahill size but if you 6foot or over, have some muscle or even abit of a beer gut you just cant comfortably sit in the driver's seat let alone fit 4 adult family members in it.
