X-files began in September of 1993. It was such a vibe in the 90s. Season 6 is probably my favorite. Production moved from Vancouver to Hollywood after season 5, for the movie Fight the Future, and subsequent seasons. That's all I'll say for now.
My boy is about to learn how this show usually gonna go. Mulder: “look scully this guy said he was abducted by an alien. He’s having dreams” Scully: “Mulder it’s probably (scientific skeptic ass answer) “ They investigate. They end up either separated or one of them is unconscious for some reason. Mulder see some crazy shit. Scully doesn’t see shit. They end up explaining what happed and never agree their side of the story…..and so on the whole series lol.
I don't know who told you The X Files is an anthology but it's not. It has an arch so you do have to watch it in order even though it does have stand alone episodes. And I'my opinion it does not fall off at season 4, later is the series it does around season 8 maybe. This is an amazing show and it has vibes that just can't be replicated.
Dude, you're gonna get so sucked in by this series. It's friggin' awesome. One of the best series ever made. Pay attention though, there's a LOT to come. Bit of a heads up: X-Files has two distinct types of episodes, many of them involve a mythopoeia-driven story arc that goes throughout the entire series and the others are referred to as the "monster of the week" episodes. Enjoy! I'm so looking forward to your reactions for this series. Thanks for all your hard work in bringing us these videos.
Episode 13 of season 1 gave me chills! It's got the actor who played Grima Wormtongue in LotR and his performance gave me goosebumps! Hope you get to check that episode out!
I’m 40 and have watched the X files all the way through at least 4 times since I started watching it in grade school!!!! I flippin love this show!!!! It paved the way for shows like Fringe!
I used to stumble upon filming locations for this show, living my life in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, where so much of this show was filmed.
I still say that the worst episodes of this show are still better than some of the best in what's streaming in new shows. Stap yourself in and enjoy! This one's a wild ride💚
If you care about the overarching story, the mytharch as it’s called in the fandom, you gotta watch in order, and watch the movie, Fight the Future, too. You can skip season 10 and 11 though.
Honey I'm old enough to have seen this when it premiered 😆 This show is amazing...so many incredible episodes. Be prepared... BTW the whole series was filmed in Canada (no matter where it says they are). The scenery is always top notch.
I’m so old, I watched it in since the premiere and wrote a fan letter early in and got a signed photo with sharpie autographs both😊 from DD and GA before they were famous enough to charge for it at comic con, 😂
YES! One of my favorite reactors reacting to my all time favorite show from when I was a kid?! I've been hoping more people would watch this because I feel like it really stands the test of time but hardly anyone has. And to have YOU be one of the few reactors? Fucking awesome!
Episodic, not anthology. It’s a continuing storyline and features the leads (for the most part). You can skip to some episodes without issue as they deal with “weirdness of the week” but the UFO bits will leave you absolutely lost if you’re jumping around on them. Great Brad Douriff episode called “Beyond the Sea” if you’re wanting recommendations. (Plenty of great episodes but just thought you might get a blast out of seeing the voice behind Chucky act and see why he came out of the gate - “One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest” - as an Oscar nominee).
Damn this show was the big thing in the 90's. Still remember all the times the vcr didn't tape it or mom/dad taking the tape out or taping over an episode with their middle aged gobbledygook. Then it was all out war in our house. The episodes that aren't very serious are usually the best. My first love was definitely David Duchovny🤭
It's not an anthology series, as you soon will find out. This is one of the greats right here, at least for the first four seasons. Also, try to check out Millennium (also created by Chris Carter), if you can get your hands on it.

skinwalker ranch.

This actually did become one of the best sci-fi shows of all time!
My boy is about to learn how this show usually gonna go.

Ayy, if it ain't broke..
Lol.@ scully, as annoying as she was I still liked her character
Definitely Not and anthology and you Must watch it in order. I’ve watched the series 3x and I’m thrilled you are watching it!
Starting to get into the good stuff now Edd BOI
I love that you're doing the x-files. It's such a good show!
Gillian Andersen being British still blows my mind 🤯
But she was born in Illinois. She does play a great Margaret Thatcher
She’s born American but grew up in Britain and has been living and working there mostly since X-Files ended.
At 41 yrs old this is a blast from the past, I loved this show. my 20yr son is watching it now lol great reaction as always Mike.

7:25 Mulder knocking on the door and saying he's "Steven Spielberg" is probably a nod to Spielberg directing the movie E.T. back in the 80s. 👽
Or Close Encounters
@@mundaneamazing Oh! I never saw that. Yeah, could be a nod for that one too.

Oh, Spahn Ranch was where the Manson family took up residence. I think you're thinking of Skinwalker Ranch.

Mike saying, "This could have been a text.", forgetting that most people didn't have cell phones and text messaging had not been invented yet 😄
I used to stumble upon filming locations for this show, living my life in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, where so much of this show was filmed.
I LOVE that you are watching the X-Files! Favourite series of mine :)
This male female duo is my 2nd favorite...my 1st is Goren and Eams on "Law & Order Criminal intent"
These were so spooky in the 90s ❤
Haven't seen many react to these. You made a great choice.

Ohhhh! Im excited for this one!!
Most of the first 5 seasons of the show were shot around Vancouver.
The x files is the God files, x is a cross… stoked on new episodes
"Home" (s4 e2) is the most terrifying thing I have ever seen on television. It gives me shivers just thinking about it. Classic X-Files!!
Yooooooo this is what we needed
