Incinerate was release this same day (June 13th) in 2006, as part of the album Rather Ripped, the fourteenth studio album by American rock band Sonic Youth, released by Geffen Records. It was the band's first album following the departure of multi-instrumentalist Jim O'Rourke, who had joined as a fifth member in 1999
Rather Ripped is considered to be one of Sonic Youth's most accessible albums, featuring an abundance of concise songs dealing with melancholic topics such as adultery, sexual frustration, and infidelity.
Its only single, "Incinerate", was released in 2006, alongside an accompanying music video directed by French director and writer Claire Denis.

Lyrics:
I ripped your heart out from your chest
Replaced it with a grenade blast
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
The firefighters hose me down
I don't care, I'll burn out anyhow
It's four-alarm, girl, nothing to see
Hear the sirens come for me, huh-huh-huh-yeah
You doused my soul with gasoline
You flicked a match into my brain
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
