one question, when you turn off the car and the blower keeps going, can you just press the "less" button till its off without it coming on? while waiting for the new resistor?
Which brand final stage resistor did you use? The aftermarket ones are notorious for having issues and I wouldn't be surprised if it's bad out of the box. My friend went through about 5 advance auto ones in a year... also make sure your battery is good and fully charged. If everything is good, it's possible it's the climate control system itself although it seems rare for them to fail.
@@chesapeakemotorwerks I changed the climate control unit and it worked correctly for a day. I remove fuse 40 and it turns it off. I bought one one on ebay that was oem and another off brand both didnt work hoping this is the case, just ordered one from behr

Generally no, it will keep running. You would need to pull the fuse.

Hope it fixes it too. 99% of the time it's the FSR and we've had a lot of quality control issues with these.
