I absolutely agree. I thought this would be fun to look at and would like to drive it about 1000 miles on a road trip in its current condition. After that, my eventual intention is to supercharge & restore it. Part of that process will be fixing the guides; I'd actually like to convert it to the M60 style timing chain but not sure if I'll do that or just refresh the factory guides.
Even if the timing chain looks good I'd highly recommended changing the guides and chain.
I learned the hard way buying new valves chain and guides.
