Thank you, at 80 my fingers don’t reach like they used to.
I’m amazed you are still playing, that automatically makes you a cool grandpa 😎
At 21 my fingers won't stretch to make it haha
At 14 my fingers can't reach it haha
@@anushka5912 I'm also 14! I can make it, but it takes me a while to stretch to it, I can play as quick as I can play things like D or A.
@@tyrelhumble2006
that's great! i was kidding there tho lol
(im still a beginner btw)
Actually, i was just trying to make this look funny i guess? like the age is supposed to decrease here, like you're probably supposed to write 'At 10 my fingers won't stretch to make it haha'
Great lesson! I'm still in "beginner" phase and any time that I see a song with a B chord, I just move along and look for another song to learn.....now, I have options! Thank you.
the most accurate comment i have ever come across
Just watch others, idk I learned while traveling, it's muscle memory more than anything, talent doesn't exist..
ROFL that's hilarious. And I'll bet you're really good now, 5 years later.
I play B key N on my Guitar
sooo this is no hlep
1. Your fingers don't determine anything
2. Playing guitar is hard and take a long time to learn
3. Just keep learn and quit stressing you'll get there if you have fun
If you see my fingers you won't say that....
thanks kanye
My longest finger is barely 3 inches long (yes I measured it out of so much frustration)
But Im learning okayy am trying :(
but what if you dont have fingers
Any instruments practice ask for regular work,
patience and most of all passion.
2:30 is the easiest one for me and I recommend it to everyone else since it gets the job done for me
Glad to see a guitar teacher acknowledging that a b chord is difficult for beginners.
My Tip for beginners: Do the Barred shaped chord but instead of barring all the strings just press down the note on the A string and gently rest the rest of your index finger on the other strings. This should just mute the high e-string. The chord sounds relatively full (imho) and you can do it without the strengh or dex needed for an actual barr chord. In addition your fingers get used to the position and later it will be easier to learn the barred version. Hope this helps, it helped me a lot :)
Can also just do that and crimp your ring finger to bar the 3 on the 4th fret (just takes a little learning to not mute the high e).
Yeah that’s how I always did barre chords at first. Heck I still do quite often lol
4:37 We got clickbaited.
I CANT STREATCH ME FINGERS 😣
b sus 4 sounds awesome when substitute it for b maj, and so much easier. Thanks for this!
The b bar always kicks my ass, I like the other ways to do it. Some sound better that the b bar. Great clear and direct video on it.
With small hands, I could reach all the basic chords! just not the B chord, never could! This helped a lot thanks!
Thanks mate
I needed this chord on 7 fret for playing Asturias
Even easier is don't play a song with a B chord in it, which is about every song you'll ever want to play anyway.
Feel this way with f sharp minor
Haha
And yet here I am. Learning it for a song
Creep enters the chat
Nooo, so many songs have a B chords 😫😫
Having to last minute sing a song for a wedding and the RELIF at having cheated that B chord! You are a life saver!
Wow, this video was so helpful. Thank you! You seem to be a kind teacher who sympathizes with strugglers :-) The easier options you gave us are already paying off for me.
THANKS FOR MAKING THIS EASIER FOR BEGINNERS.
You are an excellent guitar teacher, and making learning easier!👍
This guys is just a magician with guitar and a great music teacher!!
Brilliant and JuicyJuicy! I love the last two versions the B 11 and the power chord shape B.,...there's always an easier way .💯💯💯💯🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Wow!!! I Like How You Demonstrated and Explain The B chord.....This Has Helped Out a Lot....Thanks And Rock On.........
Great options for beginners - Unfortunately I only have short fingers, so the easy options are great and less stain on my poor hands ! Thank you. :)
Hats down to you, man! This was so helpful!
This was really helpful, thank you. Much easier on the 7th fret for me. And a couple of those other options will be handy!
so helpful! thank you very much x
Thanks. You made attempting it so easy.
I don't have a problem with th barring. It's the fitting my thick fingers on 1 fret
@prod. aurora trueeeee
@prod. aurora Doing it with one finger hurts tho
@prod. aurora nice tip, dude!
I have small fingers so I use the little finger on b string and the other one to hold the two strings
My fingers are thin so the knuckle pushes down the the second string and I can't push the first very well
Just go on a diet, sausage fingers! Trust me...you'll thank me later!
thank you , beginner here, i found a play along to sundown by gordon lightfoot and your alternative B chords are letting me have a go at it
Thank you for this lesson and your honesty. No pain no gain. 🙏🕊️❤️
Wowwww thanx!! A step closer to playing my favorite songs with B ❤
Yoo thank you bud, I've been struggling on this b major stuff. Thank you very much!!

Thank you so much and I will also practice turning the guitarr slightly away from me while playing B, and ofcourse later all the time....
Really nice and useful, many thanks SIr!
Thank you! Very helpfull
thanks dude. I've always only known the crammed B minor 7th (from cry baby cry, I think), but was looking for a simpler one for more rockin' jams. Cheers!
Great video i think I'm done searching you tube for how to play b chord thank you
Thank you! I have arthritis and a B is pretty much impossible. This is exactly what I was hoping to find.

Nice one, thanks
Thanks, Stefan
bless you sir
You are great.
Thank you so much. The pyramid shaped version is easy for me. Great video!
Thank you!
Thank you, good friend!
T
For the easiest B major triad hold the fourth, third and second string down with any finger at the fourth fret. The fifth fret gives you C major etc. The third, second and first string at any fret give you the relative minor.
Thank you
When you started omitting strings, I honestly thought you were going to end up playing just F# on the first string and passing that off as an extremely thin B Maj 😂
Thank you so much
Thank you sooooo much!💖💛💖💖
Great great great thank you so much 🥰😅😍
OMG OMG THANK YOU SOO MUCH I’M LEARNING TEENAGERS BY MCR (yes i’m and alt emo ass) AND I COULDN’T DO THE B CHORD BUT HOLY SHIII- THIS HAS SAVED ME. THANK YOUU
Nice bloke honest about b chords practice practice practice
thanks man
lovely
Great vid but your B7 is incomplete, the pinky ought to go on the thin E string as well. Huge difference!
exactly
I was wondering why in his version of B7 the top E is allowed but bottom E isn't?
.....Yeah I spotted that.
Appreciate you
Yep, like your person, good delivery! Cheers
I have been playing guitar for years, im not the best and have been struggling with B forever! This helped so much thank you!!
Grate work😊a;
I only started 2 days ago and so far learned 3 chords and now this! JESUS! I think I need to wait for arthrtis to kick in when I'm older to be able to bend my fingers like this lol it's too hard!! :(((
Very helpful 💜💜
New subscriber form Manipur,, thank you so much
I am trying to improve my guitar skill . 2021 so many awes songs require this chord
And the awes Patrick Cahalen as our voice coach last night in Williamsburg . Life is better wth music
Life is for living and prac guitar and music more I am looking up songs now to work on . We had a music party ( unexpected ) the best thing s in life are we went to our pub where they do kareoke but it was canceled so we crashed pats casa. A retired respitory therepist - music genius thst loves people and lives in Victorian house .omg we never visited there before. It was me. Sylvie Paul and Mel and Pat helped us wth singing like on the Voice . To whom ever reading this .omg ENJOY LIFE MORE !
B7 was always one I loved because it was easy to think triangle. 😜
You cannot use it when you need a normal B chord always unless you are about to move to E.
I like how you played the Bm11 and explained it is also another chord. Folks the same notes can be found in multiple chords…. The name depends on what the bass is playing/ what the root note is of the chord at that time. Playing broken chords are great. 😁
I usually just play major barre chords that start on the a string as a power chord with my pinky hitting the 3rd and muting the high e string. Obviously it's not ideal but I feel like it's good enough
Supper teaching 👍👍🥰
thanks m8
Thanks :)
It’s time for me to learn the dreaded B chord. I thought that barre chords are impossible for me to learn as my fingers are too fat at the tip and too short and also slow but I can do them now. Hopefully I can play the B chord soon too.
Thank you. I was beginning to think I was stuck with cowboy chords for the rest of my life.
Good teaching brother☺
Aha! Just found this! You are my new favorite!!! Absolutely love you! Thank yoi!!❤
omg thanks
Thank you I've tried a few of them. But sorry to ask, are those B major or B minor? Cuz I still don't really understand 😅
The first one is not so bad. That's how "I" do a B chord. Next, I wanna see an easier way to do a C sharp minor
C#m7 is my favourite chord!
You should speak louder.. Thank you for the lesson..
i was looking for your comment he seems to be whispering... afraid of...
Play in key of a with capo on 2nd fret
1/2 bar at the 4th fret with your 1st finger. Pinky finger at 7th fret, 6th string. Ring finger at 6th fret, 5th string. Ignore the 1st string, or play it to add a 6th/13th.
Your lessons are awesome, it helps to be able to play these complicated chords very easily! Thank you, Mike!
Please increase the video volume.
The song I'm learning (Touch Of Grey) leans heavily on the B major chord. I tried to use these alt B's, but it just doesn't sound right. As of now, I get it down 50% of the time. The other 50% sounds like a duck quacking. I'll just have to keep working at it.
