    Tara, you are so funny! I would have been proud with any of those pleats. I do like the swiped pleats better. Probably because I love swiping😊. August makes it look so easy but I know it's not! You got to remember he's been doing it for a long time. But, I know you... you will be pleating and pleating until you master this too! You always do. You were just gracious enough to share your first attempts. I do love your piece! You got to admit it pretty spectacular 😁✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️!😊

    Oh girl, most of us are being depleated by this technique! I tried it right after I saw Shelee do it, I was the first one to post my attempt. It wasn't horrible but that was the first and last successful one I've done. Those huge pillow bubbles drive me mad!! I just can't so I moved on. It wastes so much paint! At least your last one, even though you didn't pleat it, was pretty! I'm practicing hide and reveal( or hide n seek, as I prefer to call it lol). It's way easier!

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks so much! I'm so glad you had a successful attempt! I wish I did because if I did I think I would have stopped there and never tried again. I need a little time to recoup my courage and I'm going to have to try again! LOL! ❤️🙏😊

  • @marjoriemcelwain9491

    Are you lifting the tool into the air or running it along the canvas? Try pushing the blade without lifting when you do the pleats. The big bubbles where in rows along the pleat, so that makes me think that you re introducing the air by lifting the blade with each pleat. Let me know. The finished painting was beautiful.

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  6 месяцев назад

      Yes I agree. The air bubbles were introduced when I would move the tool to create the pleat. Im not sure how to rectify this. I'm sure it is all in my technique so I think I needs lots more practice!❤️🙏😊

  • @LouiseMcKayArt
    @LouiseMcKayArt 7 месяцев назад +1

    Wow, Tara, harrowing efforts to say the least. Definitely appreciated your attitude throughout. Sometimes the paint gets us in the end. Lol but I thought all your attempts were really great, but that multi pro was not helping!

    I feel like you did pretty good in all of them honestly ! I love the last one too ! I think for some reason it just didn’t cover the sides on your pleated ones … I haven’t tried this yet, looks hard but fun but frustrating lol 💕💕🐣

  • @dianenelson424
    @dianenelson424 6 месяцев назад +1

    In the end, you saved the little guppy. Just wondering why you never torched the bubbles in the paint before you pleated or spun?

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  6 месяцев назад

      lol! Actually with the bloom technique you are not supposed to torch it because house paint creates a skin very easily and can be burned. I think I did try it though at least once in this experiment and it didn’t help. It had to do with the air getting g folded in where the pleats are. I’m not really sure how to keep that from happening. Maybe my paint needs to be a little thinner…idk?!🤷🏻‍♀️😂❤️

  • @SherryinAB
    @SherryinAB 7 месяцев назад +1

    You didn’t get beat by the pleats! I saw some awesome ones, however as you said. The bubbles did beat you lol, I thought the 3 rd from the last one was beautiful but the last one was gorgeous! Wondering if it was your pillow paint causing all the bubbles ? Maybe not thick enough, just a thought! I think you should definitely try again.

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  6 месяцев назад +1

      LOL Thanks so much Sherry! I think the problem was my pillow... I think it might be better with a thinner pillow... that's just my thoughts.
      Obviously I don't know what I am doing AT ALL with this technique! Haha ❤️🙏😊

    So I am curious, is this the method that was recommended? Because I was thinking of doing something like this, but using a dust pan, and actually creating the swipe and composition on the dustpan, and then laying it down on the canvas. In fact, that is one of my next projects... So I will put it here on RUclips, when I do it. In the next few days.... I liked when you used the pink colors. Great job....

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  6 месяцев назад
