Think of it this way. How much would you spend to win the title. £80 million? Teams have spent £300 million in the attempt but got nowhere close. We’re close but ultimately lack that ace up our sleeve who can win the unwinnable. Cunha is that man.
Best part was when you said we're not in for him. Yes, abilities are so important, but the dressing room wins every time. He'd expect to be starting, and one person being dropped unnecessarily while we're flying could be a big problem. Buy to rotate because if it's not broke, don't fix it.
Put him on left wing. CHO not been consistently good enough plus looks like he may have got an injury. Sosa looks like potential but is already second. I think the dressing room is strong enough to absorb anyone at this point though it does worry me. Lots of Brazilian compatriots though which may help
@@chizi10 Don't know what games you watch man. But he rarely has a game above a 6. Very underwhelming. Very negative on his progression. Crosses have not done much and his goal count is too low as a winger. Cunha might be best in 10 but he is a class and skillful player would be better than either current wingers just Elanga has looked a lot sharper last 10 games. Plus Elanga has played on the left when Silva comes on. So could start him left and Start Cunha right which is his preferred side.
I'm with you Wolfie. I want him in our team. He is absolute quality and is a massive upgrade on what we have and he can also play in ANY of the front 4 positions
Thanks for the Update Wolfie. We've been linked with so many players already, and yet all they are - are reports, and stories. Any information is appreciated. By the way I'm pleased the old graphics are back! For one of the previous reports you had different opening graphics, which just didn't look all that great to be honest. Though you switched back to the old graphics, and it's so much better. Just my opinion, but people do notice these things! CHEERS! 😁
Incredible player, great talent, but if there are questions about his attitude and work rate then avoid. Can't see him signing a new contract if the manager is not happy with him and they are near the bottom. He'll leave now or in the summer
This is a weird world we're in where it's announced that we're interested in Cunha one day, then we're preparing a bid, then who know's, the club may actually speak to the other club and put an actual bid in!! Transfers by media! Giminez was great last night. The way he took the ball and then scored that goal was great. Feyenoord are a real counter attacking team too so I can see why we were so keen as he would slot straight in.
Would love Cunha. Wood's demonstrated many great strengths but one which has surprised me the most is his link up play. Cunha as a 10 off him I can picture the one two's right now. If Wood were to get inured then Cunha could also lead the line. Obviously wouldn't be expected to hold up the ball as well, but for those fast breaks in counter attacks can provide that pace running at defenders. The big one for me is the opportunity cost. Unless he kicks up a big stink, realistically looking at +£60m. That might be a bit too rich and I would assume we wouldn't spend that amount again come summer which is a better market to do business in.
Cunha would give us exciting options at CF and winger. He’s a different type of player to Wood. I also like two of Arsenal’s other targets. Benjamin Sesko is more like Wood and much younger. Or what about a real statement of intent and go for Milenkovic’s Serbian compatriot Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus. He’s 24, and reportedly on £200k per week, but those same reports say Juve would settle for €40m. If Marinakis can attract Edu away from Arsenal, why not steal a striker from under their noses as well..?
I’m speculating but I’m curious as to what Marinakis has said to Murillo to persuade him to sign an improved contract. Imagine if he told him Forest want the title and would get the players necessary to deliver that. Murillo thinks “I’m in!!”.
The problem i have with cunha is not his attitude its his position. Wolves played him up front for 18 games when they got him, he managed 2 goals. It wasnt until he was played off a striker in a deeper role he started having more joy. So essentially we arent getting backup for Wood for all that money we would spend on him and we are also upsetting the balance of mgw cho and elanga having to fit him in. For the price hes going to cost i'd much rather have a wissa and another quality signing in the door. This squad will need beefing up for europe next year anyway and the strength in depth will help
bro , im uncertain on cunha, fantastic player no doubt , and im a new forest fan , so im wondering , if he is " downing tools at wolves" , doesnt that also mean that perhaps his attitude isnt quite in line with what i see here ? cos i see everyone at forest giving it there all ,wether they play 90 minutes or 3 , so yeah, im really uncertain on cunha
Giminez got two more goals last night! We’ll get him in the close season. Is he really a £50m player? Cuhna did look frustrated but he’s very very talented. There’s always room for talent. He doesn’t look a direct replacement for Woody anyway.
I'm very sure Wolfie is right about this nothingburger. And I'm quite sure that he's wrong about how this burger would fit into the Forest-squad. Cooper was excellent at picking the right personalities to build the unique togetherness that we got now. They might has been a bunch of rejects and benchwarmers together with some promising youngsters more than shining diamonds, but look at them now. MGW, Elanga, CHO, Aina, Dominguez, Williams, Awoniyi and Wood is the very core of one of the best teams in PL. Later on we got Milenkovic and Anderson as well. And this United nations bunch is really a team, working tireless week in week out to achieve great things together. Cunha on the other hand, has the quality to earn a place in this happy bunch. But does he have the right focus, mentality and attitude to fit in? I'm pretty sure he hasn't what it takes. One of our best decisions in the last window was to steer clear of Nketiah. Cunha sure would be a way better option, but not with a crazy price and some doubtful attitude. I'm as good as 100% sure Wolfie is right about that this deal will be off the table pretty soon, and probably before kick off against the Cherries. Then it's just to move on and hope for a happy surprise showing up within a week. We sure need a striker, and almost anyone will do as a temporary solution. As long as he is fit for purpose. If anything else doesn't show up, I go for an internal recruitment. Let good old Grabban grab a few more goals to show the academy lads how things shall be done.
I’d rather Giminez over Cunha, not just because of the attitude but I’d rather a striker who’s just like Chris wood to be his understudy, Cunha being a cocky prick doesn’t help him warm to me either.
The manager shouldn't be making public comments about the player like that if he wants to keep him motivated, especially after a controversial incident
Cunha is a player that surely would enhance what we do on the pitch but having thought about this for the last day, I do have a concern and that is his character! I’d hate to see our team destabilised. One of our biggest strengths has been how tight the squad has been…I hear what you say, but character is more than just about confidence and or arrogance. If the media have been hyping this up, it just confirms what a bunch of lazy bs wasters they are… I’d still be more than happy with Yuri Alberto or Igor Jesus.
