I actually want to say that Tifo called that out like years ago. Levy building that gargantuan stadium, and some other big things like giving Son and some other players a bag, means they're not going to be able to keep squad quality depth or refill the ranks as other big teams will. That, compounded with a ton of injuries, is what's killing them this season. Their bench, minus Reguilon, is like entirely young guys. They're going down the dark path of "the owner can't get out of the way" like United.

The real Bournemouth story was Eddie Howe taking them from league 1 to prem and keeping them there long enough to break through into an established side. All Iraola has done is build on top. He’s not even achieved anything yet either😂 many managers have done this before. Fulham, Bolton, Middlesbrough, West Ham, wolves, Burnley, Leicester. It’s not that great of an achievement compared to the rest. Leicester won the prem, wolves, Burnley and Bolton made Europe, Middlesbrough got to the final of uefa cup and Fulham took athleti to extra time in the final of the europa league.

Nottingham Forest is thriving under a manager who combines precision with tactical sharpness. Their recruitment has been excellent on a modest budget..Murillo (10m) has grown into a top defender perfectly complemented by Milenkovic (12m). Ola Aina a two-footed fullback arrived on a free while goalkeeper Sels (5m) has been a revelation. Even Moreno’s loan has added valuable depth. In midfield Morgan Gibbs-White’s creativity pairs seamlessly with Elliot Anderson’s energy while Ryan Yates provides grit & determination. Up front Chris Wood is in red-hot form converting chances consistently. Defensively Forest is rock solid tough to break down & they frequently score first which shifts games in their favor. Their system suits every player perfectly & they’ve benefited from a lack of midweek fixtures allowing time for rest & preparation..an overlooked advantage.
Unfortunate loss last game but a 9 game unbeaten run speaks volumes. The team has improved massively under Nuno and wil continue to do so. Lets see the reaction from Forest at the weekend.
I'd take 6th or 7th right now. Champions League would be amazing for days out but I genuinely think if we were in the Europa or Conference League we'd have a very real chance of at least doing well in it and possibly winning it
Marinakis’s club group is also trying to create a similar style of playing, without necessary keeping the ball so much, with high and aggressive pressing, quick and direct attacking (see also Olympiacos style of playing). They are also Having rather the next season two teams in Champions League League Phase, even better days are coming for both of them.
I guess next year we will see them in European tournaments, and it feels like traveling back in time. I was fascinated to find that this team was European Champion twice, only to be invisible now, and I didn't expect to see it rise again.

The whole situation with Brennan Johnson was a joke. If FFP forces club to sell players below value at the start of a window, rather than later in the window where they can maximise values, then the rules aren't fit for purpose. It's not like forest massively overspent, the only rule breakage was related to timing.
As a Forest fan, that is the sad reality. You either comply with the rules, are subsequently not strong enough, and get relegated (Luton's a great example of this). Or you do what we did. Broke the rules, took the hit of the deduction but use the time allotted to build for something big.

Really happy to see a new team breach the top end of the Prem despite an admittedly very negative style of play (cry if you want but it is what it is, its a way to win games), the one thing I would say to Forest fans is to stay humble and remember that they flirted with relegation last season, and a few bad results to start next season or poor recruitment in the summer/teams figuring out a way to play their game can see them right back there. I have seen some absolutely insane takes from Forest fans since they hit some form, claiming players as world class or better than X or Y player who have maintained great PL form for a lot longer than Forest have. I understand Forest have a much larger and grander history than alot of PL teams but that does not shield you from the ebb and flow of the PL and how quickly things can change. Aside from that, a genuine well done to Forest, love to see it !

The season ain't over yet. I follow Nuno Espírito Santo since 2002/03 when Porto bought him. I'm a Porto supporter and saw this guy choke in key moments as a goalkeeper and later on as a manager. Give him time. He will eventually disappoint as he always did throughout his so called "career".

Leicester actually played quality football and outperformed a lot of team by pure dominance & great play. Nottingham is just overperforming by luck, and that's it.

Also, Forest play on the back foot and counter, as they have done all season, and catch teams on the break. I'd say it's been a pretty successful tactic so far this season.
