I've just finished a strip & rebuild on my gold/brown 1996 Srad 750WT. I has it stood for 14yrs before & is now ready for the road. What a bike they are...I love mine, even as an older guy. I'm just going to poodle around on it for nostalgia purposes 😊
My mate had the 750 SRAD when I had my Blade back in the day, it was incredible. Handling was superb and it was almost as quick as my Blade, but my God it killed my wrists!
Gorgeous bike’s Ivor but like you i have aged a bit and want comfort. But what a great track bike you could make 🤔. Excellent video cheers brother stay safe 👍
First set eyes on this bike back in summer 1999 just before I went away to University. Scraped enough cash to buy one in summer 2006. Crashed it in October the same year. Would love another now I’m old and sensible.
@@ivy-mac Compared to the bikes of today and the last 10 years that thing is practically a cruiser in terms of riding position. I think it was the 2009 model year they moved the foot pegs so high your knees pretty much touch your ears. I loved this late 90s early 2000’s era of sport bikes, 600cc they were useable as commuters to go to work and back, fast enough to be serious fun and useable enough to be practical. Golden era of sports bike if you ask me.
Still got one. 140,000klms on it. Still pulls like an animal above 7 grand. Docile 5 and below. Yer not too big 😂, you just don’t ride it like yer adv bike 😂
This takes me back...had the '98 Gsx-r 750 SRAD. Absolute stunner of a bike!
I think if you asked any biker about their previous bikes, one of these, or a cbr600, would be on the list. Fabulous bikes.
I’m 66 y/o around 5”9 and love my srad 600
I can see why they have so many fans. They're a brilliant bike, no getting away from it. Happy riding 👍
And to you young fella #7
Dude you’re living the life!!
Im rebuilding/restoring one of these right now. Hoping to have it ready for summer.
Perfect bike for a resto project, loads of spares and knowledge available. Best of luck with it, I'll keep an eye out for updates.

Ah, but with being older, are you as flexible and tolerant 😉

@@sleepercell9926 good point. I've had a couple of cbr600's from that era as well and they were a lot more user friendly than todays cbr's
@@ivy-mac Just so I know, how much did tis one go for?
@@sleepercell9926 I only took £1100 for it from a mate. I could have got quite a bit more though.
I jave the same bile but it is given me problem wen two plug is working and two other plug is not working wat schoild we do
@@PatrickKolade I'd start by swapping leads, plugs coils etc around to see if the problem is there

@@Rabbydabbydoo I can definitely understand why they have such a huge fan base
Good times, when suzuki could actually make interesting and wild bikes, instead of things like GSX-8R....
They certainly have an impressive back catalogue 👌
