Ratchet Strap Hack - Quit having your hook fall off when there is a little bit of slack

In this video I share with you a tip for using ratchet straps that I learned from an elderly man at a local big box store a few years ago. Now I use it every time I haul something in my trailer. I hope it can help you out also.

Finally, after 10 other videos on ratchet straps, I find this one that addressed the other end of the strap. I knew I was missing a technique to make strapping down easier. All the other videos are half ass by only talking about the ratchet mechanism. Thank you

How about using the Velcro belt you have already on the strap, this way you can use it for both purposes.

most of my straps dont have that velcro. And honestly the velcro is a poor design that gets in the way when putting the material through the eye of the ratchet.
