    I really appreciate that you don't only tell "what" to use but also "why" use it. Things like drop rates, diminishing returns, utility and so on are so often overlooked in guides -and I'm not just talking about Relink, it's true for any game. I'm only at Maniac but starting to work on having a decent progression team with IV and V sigils, and some of the tips you give in this video already apply.

    Curio farming is the real endgame. probably around 3000ish curios with no supp V+. The pain... is real.

      Me too lmao, especially that i use Lancelot alot just recently. I used to be a Percival main, but i yeah theres just so many characters i wanna play and build.
      Percival, Zeta, and Lancelot are just the top 3 that i play the most.

    Regarding tyranny, u can always override that negative by using only 1 aegis. And theres a lot, and i mean a ton of orange sigils that can provide that as a 2nd trait. And U got 16% more health while still keeping that terminus bonus under checked.

      You get around 42k HP with aegis 15 + tyranny, on proto bahamut especially he has a bunch of moves that deal around 40k damage so having around 41k hp can be clutch

    If you fully awaken your Terminus weapon to Awakening 10, you get a Sigil Booster effect which would naturally give you the additional 1% chance to hit 100% Crit Rate

      The weapon seems to already be maxed given the 15 15 15 13 Damage Cap V+ sigils with lv65 Cap trait. All we gotta do is pray lol.

      @@crie9730 Nah it's not maxed, there's no Sigil Booster trait on it, which gives +1 additional level to equipped traits

      @@crie9730 The 13 is on supplementary (not sure why it's not upgraded but that's not important). For the most part sigil booster is just going to get you a 16th point in the damage sigils assuming everything else is maxed normally (it's actually just easier and cheaper to farm azurites from slime than getting all of the individual ingredients including heads)

    I might be a little late but its worth mentioning that a fully awaken terminus weapon gives you +1 to all sigils.
    So you'll have things like 100% crit

    I understand supplementary damage is good. But at this point if i even get 1 itll throw my momentem out the window. It also sucks how most builds will all look similar at the end.

    Tyranny is great if you can manage to get the substat of aegis. I have two and it brings me to the edge of the terminus passive at like ~44,900 HP.

      Stamina and Life on the line is better if you need more atk, Tyranny only use is to lower your HP if it's more than 45k HP

      @@clanakahati true but there is the consistency of it compared to stamina in that you dont have to worry about being at 100% hp.
      though ill say this, getting some more Regen on some of the attack sigils is a huge bonus for stamina to offset those random hits you might get and save you from using your big potions too often.

      Cygames would do well to have hard bosses that make it nearly impossible to avoid status effects, to warrant resisting them with sigils. I also think War Elemental was a mistake to make it always active with no need to activate.

      A few characters can run different builds. Charge characters, immortal builds (Vane, Charlotta), support builds (Captain), CDR builds, auto attacker ranged, etc

    i have almost 140 hours in the game and only managed to pull 1x supp dmg IV while pulling 5x war elementals

    After pulling like 700+ curios, I still haven't gotten any War Elemental. At least I've gotten a couple Supp V's. Hopefully, a patch will consolidate levels or make other sigils worthwhile. I hate that the optimal build barely allows variety

      Yeah honestly either DMG cap or Supplementary damage needs to be changed. DMG cap is unlikely, considering it's easier to balance with for them and it's from the gacha, but six sigil slots eaten up by just two effects is too much.

    Just so everyone knows: you can get the same result without specific sigils. The only sigil you truly want are awakening and damage cap.

    the biggest problem this game suffers is damage cap being too expensive in sigil slots and you STILL hitting cap after max dmg cap.
    I dont mind mixing in utility or defense sigils since those ones feel nice and useful, but the attack boosters are just useless all because of dmg cap.
    maybe it's character based I don't know, but after terminus weapon and 100% masteries I can't run anything that's a damage type sigil outside crit chance, dmg cap and a couple specials.

    I had no idea life on the line was the same damage bonus as tyranny, and since i like running drain on my builds, that's gunna help me out on some characters! maybe with the introduction of Lucilus, we might get some sort of sigil fusion. 🤔

    I really wish that they'd cut down on the amount of Damage Cap and Supplementary Damage sigils you need to actually reach cap. Like Leaflit said, there's not a lot of variety with builds with so many of them taking up sigil space. I wish that instead of four Damage Cap it would instead be like two, and instead of 3 Supplementary Damage it would be, like, one instead. That way it would give more room for build flexibility for your characters so you could run something like a more defensive build, or a stun build, or pure crit build.
    It would be really nice, but I don't know if they'll ever make that change.

      war elemental is also a mistake. i get it they want you to use your favorite character, but it's just too bad and could have literally just have stick this to terminus weapon instead of that useless lv 15 regen trait

      weakness exploit would have been better or hell, something else unique.
      actually all the weapons need the ascension treatment. It'd be nice if the others would give you max of both their traits with the 5 dmg cap. I'd like some more weapon flexibility

    They really need to do something about it. It is so sad to see how boring endgame builds are...but honestly...that is the case in most games.

      it's a failure in boss design I think. though stacking damage bonuses doesnt help. *shrug*
      they need more dynamic situations for some of them such as a boss that benefits from a team stacking stun as say it's bar is massive and when you get a link off, the boss will sit for a while to do damage but while it's not, it's a menace.
      same with statuses.

    Supplementary Damage is different from Echoes. Echoes are like you describe, an extra damage instance that's like double strike. Supp Damage is just boosts your damage by a flat percentage and adds it to your original number ignoring the damage cap. Unless Supp Damage works differently in relink than it does in the gacha game.
    You also want different mods not just because of diminishing returns on the individual mods, but because 2 instances of the same mod (eg. 2x Stamina Sigils) are additive, whereas 2 different mods (eg 1x Stamina and 1xTyranny) are multiplicative. You will get more damage out of two seperate mods even if one is IV or III than you will with 2 Vs of the same mod.

      It does work differently from the OG Granblue. The reason people refer to it as Echoes is because Supplementary Damage in _Relink_ works like Echoes do in the OG game, even though it's named the way it is. Confusing, but what can you do. And yeah, it does add a second hit, which is visible next to the first damage-number that appears when it procs.

    Tyranny is better than stamina because you will always deal the same amount of damage regardless of your health. And with my Narmaya at over 27,000 attack I do not need any other damage sigils like crit damage or life on the line etc. because my damage is always capped out. And Stout Heart with Steel nerves is superior to supplementary damage as you are always alive to do the damage.

      Its possible, especially during fights like PBaha to take zero damage during it. Even if you get hit, if you have potion hoarder you can instantly be at 100% HP again so in this game Stamina is effectively always active at maximum.

    They really need to rework sigils. I see people saying to remove Damage Cap and Supplementary Sigils and while I think that could work for Supp, having Damage cap is a decent way to balance the game. There's not enough reason to use many of the sigils and DMG Cap and Supp take up 7 of the 12 sigil slots so you have to be super choose-y with the last 5.(A lot of characters can get away with just 2 Supps but if you want 100% then you need 3.) I've messed around with a lot of the defensive skills to make Vane a tank as well slotting provoke to make bosses focus me more but it doesn't help the team more than it would if I just built him for DPS for faster quest clears. The terminus weapons having a health cap also makes building tanky a bit harder. I also tried building Rackam to be a ranged part breaker but there are so few quests where breaking parts really matter because, again, killing the boss faster is better.
    Still. It's early days and there's a lot of new content on the way that could shake up builds but as of now I am kinda underwhelmed by the build variety.

    Idk if ive seen anyone address this before but tyranny 15 gives you +35% attack and life on the line 15 also gives you +35% attack but a major difference is tyranny will physically add a shit ton of attack to your character (mine is 5404 attack) and if i have tyranny added and i replace it with life on the line i gain HP but i lose that 5404 attack and my overall power score goes down. On paper they both give the same +35% attack but tyranny just seems like it gives more damage. Or it seems tyranny adds the attack stat while life on the line is more geared towards overall damage? It could just be a visual bug as well.

      I need to test it myself to see if my damage stays the same regardless of losing 5404 attack. I can't get myself to take tyranny off simply because it drops attack and my power level a ton. It's not visually appealing

    sadly almost everyone in endgame use the same build, there's no variety now... the only difference is the last sigil slot, and this is all thanks to the fking damage cap's, supplementary damage and war elemental.

    I'm on the wolf and the veil with vaseraga. I feel pain having to try and do that over and over again. I know that I have to get Gallanza down to 50% before I can even go down once, but I've already had an instance where the AI took 1/3rd of my critical bar before I could even get him down to 20... 😢 at this point if I beat it it'll be luck all luck, not a single ounce of skill. Well I do have to time the dodges and know when to not do a charge attack because I can't time vaseraga's charge attacks to save my life. Literally.

      You go for supportive sigils like drain, quick cooldown, cascade, quick charge etc.. or if you want more comfort you can put Blue ones like Aegis. Also, you can slot in some damage modifiers that are specific like Combo Booster, Charged Attack, Skill Assault. Just highly depends on what character you are building.
      But of course, all can be obtained as a secondary substat. After all, these are just my thoughts as an alternatives.

      Really any utility sigils. For more damage if you are already hitting damage cap, things that get your skills off cooldown like Quick Cooldown and Cascade will be helpful for some characters like Cagliostro, who gets stupid amounts of damage from skills. For others like Vasaraga for instance Quick Charge can help him charge his big hits faster leading to more overall DPS. You could also run more defensives. But as for raw damage, Supp damage and War Elemental are the only way to get more raw damage once you have maxed out the damage cap.

    One note on crit damage is that you start out with a ton from weapon mastery already so it gets hit with diminishing returns even on the first sigil. Between combo booster, stamina, tyranny, and life on the line (usually just 3 of the 4), you should be reaching cap on everything

      Is there testing for that? I understand that you get crit dmg from masteries but is it a independent multiplier from the what you get from the sigil or not? Can't seem to find information on that.

      @@MorpheusCh It is fairly easy to test yourself if you want. I repeated it just now with Lancelot spamming for 1 minute (both high sample size + same base damage to even out variance), equipped with defender weapon (no stone) and 100% crit rate/lv65 dmg cap with no other dmg sigils. You get 80% crit damage from offense and weapon masteries, and lv15 crit dmg sigil is +35%, so you should either see a 35% increase if they are separate or a ~19% increase if the sigil and masteries are additive. Across multiple runs for each, I got an average of 4.75m base, and 5.62m with crit dmg sigil, which is ~18% difference.

    Crab sigil for 43/45 is amazing. 20% HP and 10% DMG cut. Useless once you are getting one shotted, but great if you run a team with DMG cut buffs. You CAN achieve 100% DMG cut making you literally take 0 dmg. It is impossible for 100% up time however. Unless you cheat. Right Vas mains? 😉😝😘

    Sigil Booster Supp IV+ are very viable. You're shoehorning super hard here. Build can have much more variety and still being hitting cap + with more utility.

    Pls never over look utility. It can be soo good like linked together if your coop often, enhanced dodge if you are pro gamer etc. Dmg cap isn't hard to reach and autoreviv and other utility will make things easier for your team

      ​@@camerondavis800 You will, you'll naturally gather up tonnes of curios while building an Ascension/Terminus weapon. I got 2x War Elementals and 2x Supplement Damage V's so far.

      @camerondavis800 That's rough! I got my first War Elemental around 80 hours in. I'm now on 137 hours. RNG hasn't been kind. I dunno if it makes a difference but I got War Elemental and Supplement Damage V from curios I got where farming Maniac and Proud quests.

    I prefer sacrificing supp for more defense, i just like using stout heart
    Not that i have any good supp anyway
    Fix your game and remove damage cap, could make damage cap based on your lvl it would entice ppl to put defence sigil and stop getting 1 shot.
    Also what end game? I don't see it.

    Thanks for the guide! I have a question tho. I usually test damage cap on training dummy and I capped only using 1 offensive sigil (e.g 65 dmg cap and 15 stamina etc). However, i really cant tell whether i have capped/not against bosses and i really couldnt tell if theres a yellow line which indicates damage cap. Does capping on dummy = capping on bosses? Or does anyone know the damage dealt calculation? Thank you 😊

      Assuming enemy defense is calculated at the end, I believe capping on dummy = capping on bosses, no?

      ​@@timi1397Enemy defense isn't calculated on the end. Defense downs or attack up buff can help you overcome an enemies defense to reach cap again.

      no it can't it acts just a sigil to get you to cap but not to get over the cap only supp damage can act as something that goes over the cap.

      No, all damage is limited by the cap and crits do not have any extra cap compared to the normal hits that trigger them. As stated by another user above, crit is a major way to reach the cap.
      It is not a way to get more than the normal cap.

      It's bad
      The weapon mastery gives you 50% already
      I tested it with my Katalina with only damage cap 65 and 100crit rate
      With 1 crit damage 11 my strong attack does between 53 to 58k
      And with 1 Tyranny lvl 11 my strong attack does between 59 to 64k

      it just takes 2 minutes hitting the dummy to realize that crit capped or not, crit damage gives way less than stamina or tyranny

      I just tested it again. And it is as you say. It is slightly worse. But if you reach damage cap on all skills with crit damage than it is still better to use in my configuration.
      Also based on math it should be doing same as tyranny. So it may be bugged or im forgetting something.@@extrashifty578

    I have max terminus and I already hitting damage cap (lvl65 already).
    Only have Tyranny sigil and Stamina substat as my dmg multiplier so I just run aegis to counteract tyranny negative trait

    i want to ask: if u have battle cap V+ max 4 sigils. so what the point using overmastery normal attack cap, skill damage cap? better searching another status beside something cap right? cause the cap already max.. cmiiw thx

      If I understand the game correctly, crits always hits for max damage, so the way to gain more damage is to raise the dmg cap percentage, to raise the upper limit beyond the mastery tree and sigil cap.

      The mastery bonus damage cap stack with the sigil trait. So if you have 250% cap from sigil and 20% normal atk cap from mastery that’s 270% normal atk cap for your character. The point of Granblue even in the original game is to obtain higher damage cap and the way to reach that cap 😂

      You do not, attack trait is often redundant since you'll be hitting cap with other damage modifier sigils like tyranny and stamina anyway. Attack seems to be less efficient for damage than these.

      It was fine in the early stages when the availability of certain sigils was low and you could use your ascension weapon to get a nice 25 started.

    sba cap up would be better no, in general u want cap ups and crits or if u get a rly good roll its fine to take stun too your overmasteries. As for dmg up they arent rly worth anything in the end endgame. So the go to overmastery for most characters are usually gonna be normal attack cap up, crit rate up, skill cap up, skybound art cap up fourth can be kinda flex, stun power or health (without going over termiuns threshold) or healing cap as for the others they dont rly do anything since u already cap with late game builds. Tho that would be ideal rolls. i rolled a crazy amount over my 290 hours and ive only got one with maxed, on my siegfried Crit 20%, stun 20, normal cap 20% and sba cap 20%. Ideally mby i swapped skill dmg but since my sieg is kinda tank utility fighter i don't rly need as much so the stun feel better for breaking parts Looking at u pyet.

      The main thing people cheat for is Supplemental Damage V+, which are stupid rare, even moreso if you want one with an actual decent sub trait. Everything else here is still luck based but common enough that it's reasonable to have. Plus most of it can be save scummed, unlike Supp damage.

    I disagree about crit being the most import Over mastery i say skill cap is more import just because 250% from Dam cap 100% from terma and 30% from weapon mastery skills now do 380% more damage then add skill cap from Om thats 400% and depending on the character it could add anyway up to 10-100k extra damage per skill over the corse of a fight which could be anywhere between 1-5 minutes having crit in Om is nice but is it mandatory naa I don't think so.

      Overmastery is the easiest way to cap crit. There are a few of my rolls where I got 10* Damage Cap Normal+ and 10* Skill Cap+ and I keep it instead of going for the crit, but it makes it a lot harder to cap crit. If you're lucky enough to have multiple Crit V+ with orange or Purple with Crit substat then you can get around this... but in general having crit overmastery saves you a precious sigil slot.

      @LeaflitAsari so for slower based characters yea 100% matter more but for faster characters I say 90+ is probaby fine I would rather 420 90% on someone like LANCELOT Charlotte yod nar 20% Om 20% slupp but it's all a matter of preference.

    I run combo booster and defensive sht, I don't like steady focus, nothing like missing the last hit on Setsuna, so I do Stout Heart and Steel Nerves with improved doge. Mainly cause I only have 1 Supp damage and war elemental doesn't seem to exist for me, I do have the space if I ever get it tho... I have a sht tone of Drain cause secondaries so maybe Steel Nerves is overkill. Maybe even Improved Dodge is overkill with Stout Heart, but if you are dead you are not doing damage so... yeah.

    My question is, without any sigils how do you start with 30k health, 15k attack, 84% crit rate and 18k PWR? Just Terminus wep and assuming all other masteries are maxed out?
    In fact in the first place, I actually do need an endgame build to be able to fight 10000 PWR Bahamut Versa and lv150 Proto Bahamut, and all the guides on youtube are only for true endgame where I have defeated Proto Bahamut and gotten their weapons. How can I prepare a build for the middle ground?

      Same principle as shown. Dmg cap to lv65, crit to 100%, two damage mods, character sigil if you have it, war ele, any supplemental damage you got. In roughly that order.
      You will just need to use more sigils to achieve those, so you will probably have to give something up towards the end (like supplemental dmg).

      Terminus wep at lvl 1 already gives 1.5k damage. Lvl up that + munitions to 99 + some awakening lvls + weapon imbues and youll get what you see.
      In your case you should focus on your main ascension weapon first. Dont cheap out on munitions youll get plenty of it while farming proto bahamut later on.
      If playing solo, you might want to spec on defensive sigils to get pass bahamut versa. The usual guts/autorevive/potion hoarder are key. Aegis, Dark flame res, improve guard/dodge are also noteworthy. Then stack as much dmg mods as you can. After that just repeatedly fight it and learn its attack patterns. Fully utilize guard/dodge theyre op and will be key on endgame fights
      *To help out your ai allies, you can give them guts/autorevive so they wont decrease the critical gauged. They perfect dodge/guard almost everything so you dont need other defensive mods on them
      Assuming you did this youll be at 15k-17k pwr
      Itll prolly take you 15+ mins, to kill it youll also most likely to lose multiple times but its a fun fight with a banger soundtract.
      After you passed it you can pretty much farm any sigil you see in the video.
      *alternatively you can just join an online lobby and get carried by some max out player, but wheres the fun in that.

    You don't need alot of attack based sigils, 2 enough to get to damage cap, so everything more its a waste. Its possible to get more from it, but this is exploit and its obliviusly get fix in upcomings patches.

      It depends on the character. Some characters like Lancelot easily hits the damage cap, while others like Vane is much harder to hit.

      maniac mode slimepeade, its not 100% there is a chance an ultra rare slime spawns which is rainbow color and it drops an item called Azure gem that instantly max out a sigil. You can play with other players and get gold dalia badges to get a azure gem from the merchant npc. 30 gold dalia badges to be precise. So either grind for a rng rare slime spawn or grind multiplayer to buy the azure gem from the merchant. The rare slime also drops a Damascus ingot which raises a weapon level by one so use it level 125 to uncap your weapon to 150. Lastly the rare slime drops a ambrosia fruit that gives 15k mastery points. I would recommend to do slimpeade with a group of players because the bots wont attack the slimes until you attack them.

      The prismatic slime can also appear in the extreme quest that you need to defeat as much Avian soldier on the ship as you can. I got one to appear while afk farming and had no idea how I got those item on the reward screen

    I still don't think Supplementary Damage is worth running. Basically no one is going to have 3 V+ sigils with it, so you're giving up 2-3 sigil slots worth of utility for a damage bump that as far as I've tested hasn't seem worth it. I think the problem right now is everyone is building around running Proto Bahamut but that fight is literally a training dummy. Running more utility/defensive sigils seems to give you so much more value in terms of being able to attack through boss mechanics, as well as just dying less in general. Stout Heart + Steel Nerves is an insane ~40% damage reduction, and with any amount of Drain lets you sustain your way through so much stuff.
    Honestly I just really don't like this incessant need to raise damage at all costs that infects games at a higher level. If you can sacrifice a small portion of your damage for insane utility I don't understand why you wouldn't. It's really annoying having people CONSTANTLY dropping dead in endgame content because they feel the need to go as horny for damage as possible when they could sacrifice a bit of that damage potential for tankiness and end up doing MORE damage because they're not constantly on the fucking ground.

      While that's true, I think some players who are confident in their blocking and dodging wouldn't need that many slots into defensive sigils for the sole reason that so long as you have the bare necessities to not be one-shot. I'd imagine that if they decide to make the upcoming Lucilius fight a living hell, the key will be to removing your current defensive options so that you're heavily penalized for not taking defensive sigils. (Attacks that immediately break guard, debuffs that prevent dodging or annoying debuffs like Slow/Dizzy/Sandtomb that you're going to need at least one debuff resistance covered, etc.)

      Sup damage allows you to surpass the damage cap with much more additional damage. Even without a + sup its insanely worth it. I have 180 hours in this game. I've no lifed it. You want to perform better? Get sup damage. I've run just 2 for 74% supp chance which is more than sufficient if you want to put one different utility sigil on. If you do have good Sup+ then throw them on although they're extremely rare so gl on them.

      Keep in mind she has terminus. Its vastly stronger damagewise than the other weapons. Ez 15k damage with no sigils. I've gotten upwards of 61K attack on Eugen (although with damage cap that's pointless)

    I actually hit the Jackpot and got a Supp V+ Dmg Cap. Took me about 2 and half more days of farming just to get my second supplemental and it was a IV. I generally have shit luck when it comes to RNG (Think 900 runs in an MMO for a weapon I watched a friend rolll 4 times kind of luck), So - between that, my White Dragon Glory + Dmg Cap and Getting a Terminus weapon for two of my characters on the first two runs; I feel like I've won the lottery. Lmao.

    Are you sure that you’re getting use out of stamina and crit damage and attack or all that?
    It may be because I have my weapons fully awakened on a couple characters as well as the over masteries and weapon nodes but I don’t run ANY damage type sigils outside of one 1 tyranny and my attacks are always hitting max cap.
    I don’t cheat either, but you max want to max your nodes and weapons before making guides like this. You can fit a lot more utility into your builds without losing any DPS and this info’s kinda misleading to those who don’t know better.

      Its very character dependent but in general 1 tyranny + 1 stamina + 1 crit should be enough to max out most char damage caps
      Theres ofc niche cases like cags pain train where even skill damage on top doesnt max it or charlotta YX (xbox) finisher for example

      I have multiple maxed sets I just don't for Naru. It depends on the character, some characters like Lancelot hit cap pretty fast while some take a long time and have certain skills/attacks that take more and won't even cap out with two atk mods like Vaseraga and Cagliostro. Those are character specific issues in which you would use your flex spot to adjust.

    well i be making some videos to to help people with realistic build and not them cheating ones with 600 hours on my hand still no supp v+ also dont use 3 Supplemtary V i just tested it and did less damage than i had 2 on instead i recommend for pure damage and some hp
    2 Supp v
    4 Damage Cap V+ with Exploit 2 and 2 Crit hits
    2 overdrive assasin v+ with Poiton hoarder and Improved dodge
    2 Stamina v+ with 1 Aegis and 1 with Steady focus or Crit Damage
    1 sigil that for your character awekning sigil
    1 war elemental
    this works for any characters
    Imbue sword with what ever you want what i recommend Defence stuff or hp
    if you can in over Masteries get this 4
    Normal Damage Cap 20+%
    Sky bound arts 16 to 20+% or Critical Hit Rate 20%
    Skill Damage 16 to 20+%
    Skill damage Cap 16 to 20+%

      600 hours in game is 25 days mate. You're not that guy lol. It's the 20th and the game came out on the first. I've got 180 hours and no lifed on the most part. Big streamers who have all the time in the world highest is about 220-240 hours.
