I found it to be pretty good at being a mid range fighter and catching people off guard or behind walls. And I actually think this will be a monster in tower control especially with suction bombs. Maybe it’s because I’m a experienced casual but I was dropping people.
It’s a good idea with the two consecutive sloshes, but it’s just WAAAY too ink-hungry at the moment (Just 3 sloshes after throwing a Suction Bomb on a full tank)

This is the only weapon that I have really enjoyed the Reefslider on. It's so slow and has to be played more passively than regular Slosher (in terms of chasing kills) and that Reefslider gives it that aggressive punch it needs sometimes to finish people off. It's pretty fun
Explosher is for hitting _over_ ledges from _far away,_ Dread Wringer is for hitting from _under_ ledges from _up close._ Other than that, they play in a very similar way, if you like one there's a VERY good chance you'll like the other.
I love this bucket. My aim is pretty bad but this thing helps me kill enemy’s that are in a high place or behind an obstacle. The rant is great and the damage is ok.
The dread wringer is personally one of my favorite new weapons from this season, in my opinion it’s very powerful but well balanced. It can handle a lot of situations and if you know how to use it right, it can for sure be a very useful weapon for tower control and zones
Dread Wringer is super fun imo, I think most things holding it back is mobility and ink efficiency, similar to Painbrush in a sense. Dread Wringer’s kill time is pretty poor for how slow it is, so maybe giving it something like torp could be interesting. I also like the idea of cooler on this thing or even like Booyah bomb

This is my new favorite slosher and the ledge pressure is so nice because of that double slosh (also helps with special/paint output) i feel this slosher would be better with a more ink efficient sub weapon like auto, but for the most part I like the kit synergy so we will have to see where people take this thing! (Going to be using this in competitive I see potential in rain/zones because of kit)

Agreed, sure it’s slow but it also does deals 90 damage, has pretty decent range for a splosher, has one of the better bombs/ subs in the game. And while reef slider isn’t one of the best specials if any gets hit by it you could just follow up with a splosh. And I think this thing is a killing machine and will be really good for tower control.
It definitely has its uses. On one hand it can kill decently well if you're good enough with it. On the other, though, it's definitely more of a support weapon that either picks off an opponent or allows one of your teammates to pick off the opponent. It personally isn't for me but I've gone up against good dread wringers already so I really can't say the weapon is bad.
It’s a ton of fun, for a casual tri-slosher player It won’t pull me away from my VWiper main, but it’s a really fun option to pick up on the right map mode!!
Side note, but I love Crableg! It feels like the true successor to Hammerhead Bridge, but even more fun imo. Easily my favorite Splat 3 stage, among the best in the series.

Tbh, it works for me, the kit is truly monster turfing, and splatting, wether you using suctions bombs for ink, reefslider for splatting, then the people who took the hits can be finished with a single slosh from dread wringer, in my opinion the dread wringer, is just.. wow *dreadful* ....
Like it or not, doing 90 damage is extremely oppressive and intimidating. When the opponent takes any damage what so ever, they are in danger of being one shot. If this ever gets missiles it will be a monster.
As a vbucket main it took a moment to realize it wasn’t to be played as aggro as it’s stronger siblings in the class. I also noticed the ink efficiency isn’t great. A little disappointing bc I guess I had high hope for this weapon, but maybe with practice the wide shot gimmick can be an actually threat. (Also that it’s pretty much a 1 shot with the stacked shots) plus I like that they gave it back bucket’s suction from 2. reef slider isn’t terrible for it, nice for clearing some space and turf painting.
Even though it’s slow moving, but not nearly as slow as explosher, I had a lot of fun with it, and its insane range! I also noticed that it can combo into anything, for as long as the opponent took a significant amount of damage. Because of this, I can use its reef slider, and/or suction bomb, and if those missed, but still damaged the opponent within its blast radius, I can still finish them off with the dread wringer.
i think the weapon is fine tbh, only thing holding it back is the reefslider, you can cancel the shooting endlag by turning into squid form quickly so its not too bad considering it does 90 damage, its fair that its slower
MMM that would defeat part of its design trying to stop people using it as a panic button. If you got it off and were able to just roll out of the way from being punished for using it haphazardly then it wouldn't encourage smart play imo
It’s a really cool weapon, but it needs to fire a bit faster. It also doesn’t work with reef slider super well, since you can’t capitalize on it very and just makes you run away instead. Still pretty fun but I hope it gets some good buffs next patch
Its a good main weapon. Great even. But suction is really meh for me on it. If it had burst bomb, dart, torp, or fizzy it would have an option to do its OWN combos. Rn it needs a teammate to help it be agro since its kill time can be really underwhelming compared to how heavy it hits.
I just had a smidge more range, I often ask myself why would I use this over the explosher, which also has a high damage direct and more range. I guess yeah sloshing below ledges as well as on grates, even then though I still prefer explosh.
It seems like the Splatoon team’s balance for sloshers is initially underpowering them, then slowly bringing up the gas until they’re viable. It’s not a hard thing to prove that sloshers are a very easy thing to make overpowered; Splat 2 Trislosher, splat 3 machine, splat 2 machine were all meta defining and are all still really good.
I kinda think it’s one of the better sploshers, sure it’s slow but the fact it dose 90 damage, has suction bomb and while reef slider isn’t the best special but cam work. And I actually think it will be a menace in tower control.
The Dread Wringer doing 90 on a direct means it's BEGGING for a chipping tool, like carbon roller + burst bomb. Slosher Line marker is actually my favorite bucket to use because one direct hit + one marker up close is such a fast kill time

So I'm mostly a bucket user. It's a fun weapon but it doesn't really secure kills as well as the tir slosher or the vanilla slosher. The slow hit rate doesn't work well if you fighting 1v1. It's definitely strong when it hits from below.
IMO, there are a couple of maps where the Explosher (especially with the Point Sensor) excels. But for everything else, I've already found the Dread Wringer to not only synegise well with my play style and gets me much better performance (based on battle stats), but I also find it to be vastly more enjoyable to play.
Dread Wringer seems pretty healthy in my opinion; not bad to where it's unusable and not overpowered good to where there's no counters for it. Other than ink consumption, I don't see any buffs (or nerfs) to this weapon
Can they please reduce or even remove the frames before invincibility? I'd prefer it if they reduced the travelling speed of the reef slider instead, or reworked it so you have armor instead of invincibility or something...
My only complaint about this slosher is that Reef Slider isn't doing it any favors. Not just because Reef Slider = Bad, either. I feel like the Dread Wringer wants to be mid range or right under or on top of a ledge. Slider should be for weapons that want to fight up close and have a fast kill time or fire rate, even if it gets the 70 hitbox. Even with a successful Slider, you're still trying to reposition yourself to not be so close to the enemy team. I feel like a Kraken or Stamper would've synergized better with it, so you can safely reposition yourself. That way, it would still play into an aggressive playstyle without being to up close and personal.
Honestly I was hoping it would be more assist based than aggro. I am a hard core explosher main but playing explosher on tc is a nightmare, so having something I can reasonably play or have a secondary option is awesome!
I think this weapon is gonna take a minute to get used to bc of the slow sloshes, but I find it pretty fun to use! Also, Never expected to hear Sonic.exe FNF music in Dude’s video 😂
When I first played this weapon I hated it because it was so slow. But now that I see it as an improved version of Explosher, I actually like it. You have to play it very carefully and try to hit people over ledges. Reefslider is not a good fit for it, though. Seriously, do the devs actively try to saddle weapons with specials that don't have any synergy?
I haven’t played explosher since it released in 2 and I find this weapon very fun. Is it bad? Sure. Will I use it in a competitive setting with my team? We’ll see. Will I push the weapon to the furthest? Yes. This weapon is easily my favorite new weapon of this game
Tbh, I think the Dread Wringer is top tier right now for Splat Zones. If you place a Suction Bomb on the Zone, then use Reefslider to cover the rest of the Zone and time it so that it explodes at the same time as the Suction Bomb, the enormous burst of paint will cover essentially the entire zone and capture it instantly. It's an incredibly powerful combo and you can charge the special quickly thanks the Dread Wringer's surprisingly good paint and swiftly throwing Suction Bombs onto paintable areas. Furthermore, this is one of the very few kits in this game that I can think of where all three parts (Main, Sub, Special) all synergize with one another; the chip damage from Suction will allow the Dread Wringer to two-shot people and fits extremely well into the Dread Wringer's zoner playstyle. If an opponent takes chip damage from both the Suction and Reef simultaneously (and has no Bomb Defence Up), they will be splatted since the chip damages equal exactly 100 damage (30 (Suction) + 70 (Reef) = 100), assuming they don't squid roll to negate some of the damage. And finally, the chip damage from Reef can easily be followed up by a single shot from the Dread Wringer to splat the opponent. This kit feels incredibly well put together. I'm completely certain that this kit will get nerfed because of the incredibly broken Suc + Reef combo. Edit: Almost forgot to mention, you could run enough Ink Saver Sub for two Suction Bombs if you want to make the Suction + Reef combo easier to pull off in Splat Zones. Note: This is a copy-paste of a comment that I made earlier on another video. That's why there's an Edit Note even though this comment isn't edited.
@@contra5123 Well, while most of what you said is true, suction bomb is still very slow, so it's rare to get any combos with it, but it can occasionally happen. Not to mention you only get 3 sloshes after throwing it and you have to run *a lot* of sub saver to get double suction, which is a waste of gear which could be used on anything else really. If you're gonna do bomb spam, you might as well just use LDE on another suction bomb weapon like splattershot or , which has trizooka to get easy kills, and the main weapon has good paint and better mobility than dread wringer. Reefslider is good in zones, but I dont think having a lethal bomb and a cheese special (which completely sucks everywhere else if it isn't capping the zone to stop the enemy counter) makes it top tier, even in the scope of a single mode. It's still decent, but imo its nowhere near top tier, or in need of any nerfs.
@@syylentSorry that it take a few days to respond, don't want you to feel like you wasted your time making your comment when I asked if you could provide one. After a few days of playing with this weapon, yeah, I now think that DW isn't as crazy as I thought it was; the DW as a main weapon is just not as good as the Slosher because of having a slower TTK and having more starting lag before firing and the whiting frames after sloshing makes using it along with its Suction Bomb pretty difficult and generally just feeling rather vulnerable with it. But I still think that this weapon is a very good niche in SZ because of how good it is at painting the zone from a bit of a distance and how synergistic its kit is. As for using the Splattershot for the Suction Bomb strategy instead of DW, I have to disagree because I think the DW's zoner playstyle fits better with the bomb spam compared to the Splattershot's more aggressive playstyle (I know that it's possible to play with the Splattershot passively but I don't think it's very strong most of the time). This is all speculation from me though, I never did the Bomb spam strategy with either of these weapons and don't have the gear for it (there is LDE, but I don't like that ability personally), so I could be very wrong on this. I still think that the DW will get a nerf in the future, but only if either it gets buffed beforehand or starts to become a part of the SZ meta.
@@contra5123 yeah I still mostly agree with you, but personally I don't think it needs any nerfs, mainly because its only really good in one mode, and also, weapons like swig would have also been nerfed for being really good in zones, but yeah I think I agree that DW does have a pretty good niche in zones.
Dread Wringer was insanely fun, but it isnt the agressive beast we thought, its a mix of giving assists and preparing them

When I first played this weapon I hated it because it was so slow. But now that I see it as an improved version of Explosher, I actually like it. You have to play it very carefully and try to hit people over ledges. Reefslider is not a good fit for it, though. Seriously, do the devs actively try to saddle weapons with specials that don't have any synergy?
if this had burst imagine how strong it would be
The last part lmao
I haven’t played explosher since it released in 2 and I find this weapon very fun. Is it bad? Sure. Will I use it in a competitive setting with my team? We’ll see. Will I push the weapon to the furthest? Yes.
This weapon is easily my favorite new weapon of this game
It’s fun but it’s strafe speed really punishes missing
True, but if you get used to doing slosh-swim-slosh, it lowers the kill time but MASSIVELY increases the survivability & maneuverability
I agree with the fact that is not the best slosher we have, but I still find it fun to get kills with it
Tbh, I think the Dread Wringer is top tier right now for Splat Zones.
No
@@syylent Can you explain why?
Edit: Genuinely curious, no bad faith.
The way the weapon plays is a bit too awkward for my liking, trying to get both sloshes to hit can be difficult
excited for another dynamo video
its cooking 😃
A bit unrelated but I can't say I'm a fan of the background FNF music.
no way in hell is it the worst slosher when blob exists
I love the weapon but hate the special. I'd never used a reef slider special but I hate how vulnerable I am after using it.
If the thing had fizzy or burst and change the special to zooka I think it would be better
wait what song did you put in your background, was it from Friday night funking?!? lol ToT ToT
i love this weapon
ngl, that thing is incredibly op in salmon run. probably the best weapon (not taking grizzweapons into consideration)
ofc thats just my opinion. we'll see when ppl play it more on the upcoming yard rota
LMAO WHAT IS THAT FACE IN THE THUMBNAIL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love the videos bro keep it up! :)
I feel like it needs more range, I’m not asking for explosher range, but what it has now doesn’t feel right.
Lol. I like how you’re so not used to flanks that when a new map has em. It’s like how they here?? Great new maps is my point!
IDK if it's good or bad in PvP, but it's extremely good in Salmon Run.
I can see this weapon getting a damage nerf for the balance update
I played it on Turf war and hated it then I played it on anarchy open and Liked
