- Unexpected Redfish action in the middle of summer. Everyone fishing pretty much caught a monster bull. It was a slow start this day but the action was definitely worth the wait. Met up with my fellow Veteran brother Vince and we killed it !! Hope you guys enjoyed the video !!

Great fishing! Amongst the "BAND OF THE BAITCASTERS", really some outstanding fish caught, personally i'd have fished from the beach but the baitfish getting chased was some amazing footage, right on.

30lb mono with a wire leader.
What kind of hooks are you using
Maaaaaan my apologies for the delayed response, I think on that day I went with a bigger sized j hook, but honestly I don’t use those anymore I would go with with a circle hook size 10/0 for the big bulls. I just buy the box of 25 from Academy, brand: “eagle claw lazer sharp”. I use those and they haven’t failed me yet !! Good luck !! Tight lines !!

I just park at the lot of the Matagorda Bay Park and walk down the long wooden pier.

I live within driving distance of Matagorda looks like I'm going to be gone fishing. I have to go to the bank first though and get a loan for gas. It's May 20-22
