I love fishing around east matagorda bay. This morning we went out and hit a 3 man limit on reds and flounder we limited out of red within an hour and flounder within 3 hours. Great video man love the content
Nice reds man. Great footage. Im hitting up the bay tomorrow for my birthday and hoping for some flounder and big a$$ reds like those. Great videos man.
Btw everyone beware of the mud in matgordia, lots of people die every year. I got out to take a piss sunk past my knees, shoes became stuck in the suction I had to abandon them and jump back in the yak!! Scary stuff!!
ok, incredible beautiful video....middle of video drone shots are ultra cool........LOCATION.....as my late father would say .....you were up schitz creek without a paddle, well at least you had a trolling motor....great video.....(notice how spelling kept the language clean and polite)......
Tha Nickster is a superior fisherman he’s got the cadence and skill to catch I’ve seen it with my own eyes fishing with him. And yes he does catch them on Googan baits... #Nickster the fish assassin!!!!
i went in there almost 2 months ago but my youngest daughter was spooking everything banging around in the yak lol she did catch a 22 inch trout and 25 inch red though
What size leader and brand do you use with your Varivas or x8 line. I purchased the varivas line and when I tie a uni knot to it it breaks when tightening it.
You can throw dang near anything into saltwater and fish will eat it. Especially any Type of paddle tail. I’ll give no company any credit when it comes to Marsh Fishing, you could go on Ali express and buy generic paddle tails and catch all the fish you want down there.
I'm fishing East Bay Matagorda in the kayak lately. Last week I released a 28" trout and 24". My friend released a 26" trout and another guy we met out there released a 27" trout. All from the same cove. Gotta love fall fishing. As far as bait goes, I had a flounder bite my hogie paddle tail in half last week and I caught 3 more fish on the 1 1/2 inch 'grub' that was left before I finally replaced it. The bait is not as important as the location.
Would you mind sharing what cove and location? There’s so many different spots to try like hog island, Mary’s, spring bayou, etc. I’m lost on which one to go catch solid reds at. It’s currently October so should be peak season soon. Any advice would be appreciated boss!
btw .....I'd watch if you caught fish using a zebco 202 and using red worms.......with a bobber........take that googan haters.....just realized comments are in reverse order as written......
You really blamed not being able to get a hook set due to there “not being much room to work with” ?? Probably had more to do with your Light-EF rod .... next time could you measure your fish so we can actually see if they are “mega” fish? Those little reds probably felt mega on your light rod with drag set low... but hey makes for a little entertainment for anglers that dont know any better.
Badass video! Love it Nick!

That Antares...🤤🤤🤤
🤩
There were some chunks up that ditch bro. Nice work👍
Rumor has it RX Angler used CGI to make it seem like he caught these reds on Googan lures... haha solid reds!
😳👀
You were in such skinny water that the reds didn’t have any where to run. Another great video!
That's awesome! I caught some big drum in Matagorda
Great day!
My favorite environment to catch Reds. Skinny water! Great vid.
👊

Don’t tell Danny, he will get mad 😂
Great job keep it up good brother.
What the hell? Does that reel have a clicker. The sound it made when the redfish was taking drag I've never heard a baitcast do to that.
12:38 like that scene from austin powers hahha
1 lure still has 4 rods😂
I have 20 years experience!!!!!
The fish follow the current !! Oh we’ll 🙏🙏
I normally launch for Rawlings cut where do you launch from???
Good fishing
👊
Nice video man!! The bite has been on fire for me lately as well!
how can you not click on that thumbnail?? pretty reel and fishin heaven!!?
Agreed
Awesome video as always 🔥🔥🔥
I love google baits lmao that’s awesome
👌
Wish u had drone footage from there
Hey buddy what type of silver baitcaster was you using that has a clicking drag???
In description box 👍
Flounder been fire bro
i’d dip the tails to be chartreuse, a pumpkin spice colored one with a dipped tail would be fire
Thumbs up bro
Nick been going to Matagorda for years where is this spot???
i went in there almost 2 months ago but my youngest daughter was spooking everything banging around in the yak lol she did catch a 22 inch trout and 25 inch red though
awesome video!
👍
What kind of kayak do u have, and would you consider selling it?
Yes sir 👍🏾
👍
More of the reason to not share spots, spots get burned real quick. Eventually you will always have to travel long distances to catch nice size fish.

I use 12 pound flurocarbon leader line.
@@RXAngler what knot do you tie it on with. Uni?
Uni to Uni
@@RXAngler thank you so much
Do you like the old town Autopilot best? I’ve seen your videos with different kayaks. Trying to decide if the AP is worth 5k. Thanks!
It’s a beast
Giving up all the good spots!
I see you found the army cut
Are the googan baits made in the USA?
Honestly it’s because people hate those kids. That’s why they hate those baits. I like Zman. And Buggs. They work.
I’m going to Matagora Bay today
Hey nick been watching your channel for a while and I live in matagorda if at all possible could you send me the location of this spot
Nice fish!! Thoughts on the daiwa coastal sv so far??
Good so far
Awesome video Nick! A quick question, Was that a Light rod or Medium light? I own the Ultra light Suppressor by the way and i love it
Light action
Rx Angler in kayak vs Mark and his new skiff
I’d enjoy it...
I 2nd this
He would lose
😂
Which colors are favorite?
Green
@@RXAngler thks
Rumor has it RX angler wants to be like me when he grows up... but that isn’t true 🤣
🤔
people don’t get that fish eat anything no matter the brand😂 if it’s got good action and profile they will eat it nine times out of ten

Time for you to invest in a power pole
Is this east or west bay?
He won't tell you.
Don't worry about it
I'll find it !
You won't
Mind ya business
Anyone that hates on lures are just newbs. Catching fish is more about working the lure by their face when they feel like eating.
🤫. Let the non believers keep speculating. More fish for my saucy swimmer
🔥
Slaughtered those reds like no tomorrow

Damn good cgi lmao kidding
😂
Do they pay you for how many times u can say Googan lmao just kidding man love your videos I don’t care what you use
That’s just ridiculous any paddle tail swim bait will catch fish in the ocean I’ve caught saltwater fish on frog top waters and bass spinner baits
