- A week ago, my favorite manga 'Sing Yesterday for Me' came to an end after 18 years of serialization. To celebrate the end of the most important story in my life, I decided to do a little fan video about this manga.
Took me five days to make a storyboard and paint all the scenes.
Lines are done with pencil on paper, colors done in Photoshop.
All the scenes are based on the original scenes and characters from the manga.

I remember when Ilya posted this back in 2015 and he used to draw a lot of fanart of Haru haha. I actually started reading the manga because of him at that time, but I don't remember much of it. A few weeks ago i saw a video of the anime on instagram and I immediately recognised Haru. I couldn't believe it got animated! :O
I heard that he worked as an animator for some scenes and that's so amazing, it makes me happy! I am watching it now.
And Ilya, if you ever see this comment I want to thank you for inspiring me, you were one of the first artists that I started following when I began drawing digitally. I learned a lot from you!

I cannot be the only one that hate the ending. The only thing I liked was that haru got her happy ending, but it felt rushed and like an alternative ending.

This manga changed my life and know the anime adaptation is running with animation that makes me proud. Just remembering the ending got me tearing up like Haru after Rikou kissed her. I will always appreciate Kei Toume for making something so good and I will praise the Animation team on the Anime for adapting her style so well too.
