    I like how diligently Alan Moore listens. You get the sense that the person who is talking, without realising it, might be the subject of a character study in a future Moore work!

    Read Piranesi about six months ago. Even now, as I drift off to sleep, I think about those rooms.

    Two outrageously talented and magical writers we are gifted with, their minds and hearts. Alan Moore is my favorite artist of all time, just discovered Piranesi and Clarke this year, what a gift!!

    Piranesi is a wonderful book. It stays with you long after you've finished reading it.

    I think Clarke putting Borges and Lewis above Peake as inspirations for Piranesi is to steer away from how heavily she borrows from Gormenghast. Piranesi wouldn’t exist without Gormenghast. Mervyn Peake rarely gets the credit he deserves
