Avi Avital re-imagines the sounds of Venice in this vivid homage to the most beloved composer of the Italian Baroque, Antonio Vivaldi. On this album Avi presents four popular Vivaldi concerti with the great Venice Baroque Orchestra, interspersed with an authentic, 18th Century Venetian Gondolier song, performed by Juan Diego Flórez, as well as the Trio Sonata in C major with Mahan Esfahani and Ophira Zakai

I've thought that very thing. RUclips's audience targeting is designed as a one-size-fits-all for a world in which Vivaldi and those who listen to him do not exist.

yeh, when you really understand vivaldi... you're basically looking at the best rock guitarist and composer in the universe (before rock n roll was even invented): what I mean is... Vivaldi understood the exciting potential of stringed instruments. If he was alive today, I assure you, he'd be in the most famous rock band we have. :) peace. thanks for reading.

J'écoutais ce morceau en 1965 environ, j'avais 14 ou 15 ans, au milieu des Beatles et des Stones, avec un ami qui est mort, il y a quelques années. Toujours la même clarté, la même émotion.

I absolutely love this and listen to it often. Avi Avital is an amazing soloist, and the musicians in this recording are as well!
I would appreciate lower speed. Technically perfect / but sometimes I could not get rid of a feeling that some computer is just playing notes. Mainly in presto sequences. Like, is it a running competition OR an art describing emotional states and changes common to all human beings?
Mr. Avital is the first person I turn to when I wish to hear Vivaldi compositions played superbly. There may be others, but the pure joy he expresses in his style is overwhelming.
This is made the best possible way. There is no moment in the execution when other instruments prevail over the mandolin sound. Still, you appreciate them to the fullest. Nice coordination and playing!!
in the opening ,the back violinist expression tells it all ,A big smile of appreciation to a talented mandolin virtuoso ,bravo.what a piece .

Yeah, but the cosmos interpretation is much better.
All 3 movements were used in Cosmos.. The middle one was in the scene where Vincenzo rides his motobike at the speed of light and sees his little-big brother age 70 years

This sounds like baroque music that feudal lords are supposed to enjoy. It's like listening to the radio today , an attempt to fill a spiritual void with trivialities of today's tunes. In nowadays there is no search for good composers. Only those musicians who can withstand the high demands of concert tours make it to the top , but these are usually not people who are sensitive. They don't feel deep feelings , so they only develop a creativity that is rather primitive with bad melodies. Bellissimo esecuzione allo strumento antico popolare di cui avrei avuta il piacere di sapere suonare " il mandolino" ,invece il mio fratello sapeva suonare questo strumento,l' altro strumento greco di tradizione ,la chitarra 🎸,il pianoforte 🎹, organetto ed altri strumenti,io ho rubato solamente di suonare la chitarra 🎸 di cui gli ho rotto la voce ,il suono definitivo anche se ero bravissima.
