Hope you have a long enough engagement season to see how he handles stress and conflict. My ex proposed after 4 months, but we didn’t go through anything tough until 7 months in. That’s when I learned he got physically violent when angry, and I’m really glad I figured that out before we got married.

It's so funny when us as women go practical. When my fiancé proposed last September we were at the beach. Congrats! Everyone's experience is different. I met my husband at our church. We dated for a month, were engaged for a month, and then got married. We'll be married two years now in May. It made sense for us and we have been abundantly blessed. We all get to choose how we live, and need to be respectful of each other no matter how those choices come about.

Granted, we were family childhood friends but really didn’t know each other til we started dating. I can tell you even with the difficult times the first year- I would do it again in a second. It really is about learning to forgive and love each other with agape love. It’s not 50%/50% in a relationship, it’s 100%/100% and somedays you might have to carry for your spouse and give 200%. But it’s worth it! Being married really gives the Lord more opportunities to sanctify you to look more like Christ. I believe and with my own life experiences that God does reveal to us who he wants us to be with but as well good things take time. Love is beautiful especially God's love and that alone flourish overtime through fellowship and prayer with one another. Even though we know deep down in our hearts that God has revealed the man for us I do believe it is important to still hear from God and not move so fast based on one confirmation. There is a project that God still have for Christian couples together and separately. Through the experiences the both of you share there will be a lot of tests of time and experiences God may want you to face before you take a huge leap into engagement/marriage. I read this book Single, Engaged, Dating, Married. And it flipped my mind. You cannot and should not rush the dating process. One month of long distance and one month of close distance IS NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE THAT DECISION. It’s really not. In dating you need to see them at their absolute worst and best. See what they do under stress. Time reveals people. Time shows what characters you have under lock and key. Praying for you guys that this decision is blessed and I pray for your union. But I will never advise anyone to do this
Tbh I feel I needed this more than anything. God has revealed and confirmed that who im dating now will be my husband. I think while watching this I got a little bitter and thought "Why can they get engaged so quick and we are coming up on our 3 years and still have promise rings (NOT UNGRATEFUL- Just something I noticed come up for me). Just came across this video even though it was filmed one year ago - im a firm believer in the idea that every person has the right to marry who they want when they want. I just want to warn anyone reading this who may get married quickly- especially if you’re Christian and divorce is not an easy option - please please make sure you know who you’re marrying. The person you know after 2 months is completely different than the person you know after two years. I truly hope this couple is doing well - but it’s not realistic to expect humans to really get to know each other this quickly, especially during the honeymoon stage🙏🏻

Getting engaged after 2 months seems risky to some people and I can understand why. But at the same time, the beauty in being single before you meet that special someome is that you have some time becoming a better person without distractions. While single, have a strong close relationship with God, get therapy if needed, learn how to cope, learn how to compromise, learn to let go of toxic people and habits and addictions, get to know yourself more and what you want in a partner, think of ways on how you can become a better you, walk in your purpose and calling, be more understanding, patient, selfless, learn how to hold yourself accountable, do daily inventory on yourself, learn how to show more grace, forgive those who harmed you and forgive yourself, deal with the past hurts and tramas, learn more about how to keep a marriage going. Do all these things before meeting the person God has for you so when you do meet that person knowing that they also worked on themselves then getting engaged after 2 months won't seem so risky nor daring instead it will make a bit more sense. 😊
My last relationship was a little over a year ago and it was also long distance. We met while I was on a mission trip in Nepal with my university. He was a local and we very quickly became very good friends and jumped into a relationship. I very quickly saw potential for marriage one day if God ever led us there. Before I began to seek wise counsel, I honestly would have accepted a marriage proposal the next time we were planning to see each other despite living cross-culturally and only having really spent maybe 3 days together in person. That’s how in love I was, and love can blind you. But thank you Jesus for bringing wise counsel into my life. Two wonderful mentors strongly encouraged me to be patient and take the time to really get to know him in person- how he treats his friends, his family, how he acts when he is angry or sad, etc. Even tho I knew him so well, I still never would have had the opportunity to truly get to know him in person before furthering our relationship. For logistical reasons, we decided it wasn’t in God’s timing for us to be in a relationship. Obviously, God’s timing is perfect, and his timing is different for everyone. I just couldn’t not share my personal experience with you all when I saw that you were also doing long distance. Praying for you two, and I trust that you’re following God’s plan and will for your lives.

Hey Kian!! I came across your channel last summer right after I got saved. I came across your video/vlog about how you met Kyle on a cruise ship. I loved that video so much -- it was so cool you'd documented everything, I also loved noticing the signs as I was watching that something was about to happen (like the 2 wine glasses for instance, and then you guys both making that ship and putting Jesus on it. The Holy Spirit highlighted something funny to me while I was watching -- that ship you guys were making represented your relationship and how you guys would put Jesus first in it. I laughed after the revelation!) God's hand on your story is amazing, your vlog then led me to subconsciously watch Titanic videos afterwards -- Titanic was one of my favourite love stories when I was still in the world (lowkey still is even now lol) and I didn't make the connection until God highlighted "cruise ship" to me! I am so speechless. I somehow stumbled upon your page like three hours ago and I’ve been binging your videos. it started out as me watching your videos about being single and happy in singleness, then I watched the one about what to do after a breakup. while I’ve never been through a breakup (I’m 19 and have never really had a boyfriend), I really thought that God brought the guy I was going to marry into my life 6 months ago. we’ve been talking since then, feelings have been shared, but we felt that it was better to remain friends and get to know each other better before anything further happens. it’s been a month since that conversation and things have been going very slow since then and they’ve felt off. I’ve just felt like God has been telling me yes, but no not yet. literally tonight I decided to stop pushing this and focus on loving myself and treating myself how I want my future husband to treat me. insert your videos on being single. I’m a hopeless romantic so I naturally clicked on the videos about your love story (if He can do it once, He can do it again). I’m crying right now watching this video. I’m from Oregon and him and I both attended the high school in Silverton, so we’ve naturally been to Silver Falls many many times. whether it’s this guy or not, I believe God is speaking to me through you. OMGGG I’VE been following you since your testimony video last year and although I don’t comment much, I’m so happy for you! DISCLAIMER: The message I'm going to mention here in no way to be disrespectful. I believe and with my own life experiences that God does reveal to us who he wants us to be with but as well good things take time. Love is beautiful especially God's love and that alone flourish overtime through fellowship and prayer with one another. Even though we know deep down in our hearts that God has revealed the man for us I do believe it is important to still hear from God and not move so fast based on one confirmation. There is a project that God still have for Christian couples together and separately. Through the experiences the both of you share there will be a lot of tests of time and experiences God may want you to face before you take a huge leap into engagement/marriage.
Yes it may be God's will for the both of you guys to be engaged but the question is, is it now ? Is the confirmation coming from the Holy Spirit and Christ Jesus or are you on a high over finally coming across the "The one" that decisions are made out of excitement. I read this book Single, Engaged, Dating, Married. And it flipped my mind. You cannot and should not rush the dating process. One month of long distance and one month of close distance IS NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE THAT DECISION. It’s really not. In dating you need to see them at their absolute worst and best. See what they do under stress. Time reveals people. Time shows what characters you have under lock and key.
Praying for you guys that this decision is blessed and I pray for your union. But I will never advise anyone to do this

Tbh I feel I needed this more than anything. God has revealed and confirmed that who im dating now will be my husband. I think while watching this I got a little bitter and thought "Why can they get engaged so quick and we are coming up on our 3 years and still have promise rings (NOT UNGRATEFUL- Just something I noticed come up for me). And reading your comment gave me peace. Time does tell and there are A LOT of things we are still working through separately and in union together. Things from our families and things from past relationships. A lot of tests and trials. But we always over come. Gods timing is perfect and His plan is better than anything I could come up with

Just came across this video even though it was filmed one year ago - im a firm believer in the idea that every person has the right to marry who they want when they want. I just want to warn anyone reading this who may get married quickly- especially if you’re Christian and divorce is not an easy option - please please make sure you know who you’re marrying. The person you know after 2 months is completely different than the person you know after two years. I truly hope this couple is doing well - but it’s not realistic to expect humans to really get to know each other this quickly, especially during the honeymoon stage🙏🏻

Getting engaged after 2 months seems risky to some people and I can understand why. But at the same time, the beauty in being single before you meet that special someome is that you have some time becoming a better person without distractions. While single, have a strong close relationship with God, get therapy if needed, learn how to cope, learn how to compromise, learn to let go of toxic people and habits and addictions, get to know yourself more and what you want in a partner, think of ways on how you can become a better you, walk in your purpose and calling, be more understanding, patient, selfless, learn how to hold yourself accountable, do daily inventory on yourself, learn how to show more grace, forgive those who harmed you and forgive yourself, deal with the past hurts and tramas, learn more about how to keep a marriage going. Do all these things before meeting the person God has for you so when you do meet that person knowing that they also worked on themselves then getting engaged after 2 months won't seem so risky nor daring instead it will make a bit more sense. 😊
My last relationship was a little over a year ago and it was also long distance. We met while I was on a mission trip in Nepal with my university. He was a local and we very quickly became very good friends and jumped into a relationship. I very quickly saw potential for marriage one day if God ever led us there. Before I began to seek wise counsel, I honestly would have accepted a marriage proposal the next time we were planning to see each other despite living cross-culturally and only having really spent maybe 3 days together in person. That’s how in love I was, and love can blind you. But thank you Jesus for bringing wise counsel into my life. Two wonderful mentors strongly encouraged me to be patient and take the time to really get to know him in person- how he treats his friends, his family, how he acts when he is angry or sad, etc. Even tho I knew him so well, I still never would have had the opportunity to truly get to know him in person before furthering our relationship. For logistical reasons, we decided it wasn’t in God’s timing for us to be in a relationship.
Obviously, God’s timing is perfect, and his timing is different for everyone. I just couldn’t not share my personal experience with you all when I saw that you were also doing long distance. Praying for you two, and I trust that you’re following God’s plan and will for your lives.

We got engaged 2 days shy of 2 months of dating n we both really believed we were going to get married but 4 months later his true colors came out and I broke up with him. sooooo I'm scared that if someone can pretend to be someone they're not and convince you in a short time frame and put a ring on it imagine someone doing the same thing but for a longer period of time? And then you get married n now ur stuck with him or her! 😱 I don't know if that made any sense but yeah I'm scared of relationships if I have another one I'm going to be so on guard. For sure.. my husband and I got married after 7 wks of knowing each other and after 2 years he was in the Nee Age and using scripture to try to convince an affair partner to be with him. There’s no 100% perfect timing but I agree, the rose colored glasses are so strong early on.. I missed a LOT of red flags because I thought “he’s repenting”

Hey Kian!! I came across your channel last summer right after I got saved. I came across your video/vlog about how you met Kyle on a cruise ship. I loved that video so much -- it was so cool you'd documented everything, I also loved noticing the signs as I was watching that something was about to happen (like the 2 wine glasses for instance, and then you guys both making that ship and putting Jesus on it. The Holy Spirit highlighted something funny to me while I was watching -- that ship you guys were making represented your relationship and how you guys would put Jesus first in it. I laughed after the revelation!) God's hand on your story is amazing, your vlog then led me to subconsciously watch Titanic videos afterwards -- Titanic was one of my favourite love stories when I was still in the world (lowkey still is even now lol) and I didn't make the connection until God highlighted "cruise ship" to me! It was really crazy. But yeah! I found your channel again after few months, I feel the same way I did when I watched your first vlog -- peace. I also love, you and Kyle's dynamic so much! Not only do you guys kind of look a like in a couple-y way, the way you guys laugh together and vibe so well is just so refreshing for me to see, especially in the Christian community

I will probably be the unpopular opinion around here, but this seems a little fast🤷🏻♀️. Perhaps it may be a good thing to think about building a good foundation, and how that takes time and care. I'm in no way saying that there isn't any of that in your relationship, but dont press fast forward on a story that deserves time to unravel. Good things take time and time truly brings fruit to it's maturity. Just a thought🤷🏻♀️.
