I edited a similar short video of this match. This is the best performance I remember from any player to date. Nalbandian in two tournaments made Djokovic and Nadal look like amateurs. 6x1 6x2 in Madrid in less than an hour and, again, 6x3 6x0 in about 35 minutes at Paris final. And it wasn't because his opponents were playing poorly, Nalbandian was simply, as has rarely been seen, using all of his immense talent consistently for two weeks, especially after beating Federer in Madrid... he was flying here. The real challenge for him was once again Federer, who offered some resistance in the quarterfinals. However, Nalbandian incredibly surpassed Federer even in the number of winners (22 to 17) something very unusual to see. This was the only match on a fast court in 2007 where this happened, a year in which Federer lost just six matches on fast courts - his second-best year and one of the top seven greatest single seasons in men's tennis (70-8, 90% win rate). After beating Federer twice in a row, Nalbandian entered 'god mode' and toyed with Gasquet, doing whatever he wanted in this game. Gasquet himself gave an interview right after the match saying the way David played that day was the most insane thing he had ever seen.

And against Ferrer he did a lot of aces (maybe his personal record) another rare thing
Like Tomic he could hit flat because talent gives you the ability to play with reduced margin for error.
nalbandian has the best two handed backhand in tennis history.
Agassi, Kafelnikov, Courier, are better
@@DreamWatcher-h1j especially Courier 😄😄😄

@@DreamWatcher-h1j ha?
@@DreamWatcher-h1j Courier LOL
The best two-handed and the best one-handed backhand on the tour.
If nalbandian has loved tennis as did the big three, he would have been easily one of,the best.
