Wife and I run a service station and I often “harass” employees/customers with scx24 but this little guy.. I can fit it in a register or a box of Twinkie’s!
This is perfect for quick under car inspections without jacking them up as already quickly demonstrated here. Need a little light extra though but that’s easy. Lot’s of cheap magnets small LED’s around now.
get some lil wider wheels for this and see if you can fix the wheel base for the toppling. idea i would like to see is the fpv through tunnels and tubes, so a crawler course you have to use the fpv to complete it as your unable to see the course.
neat little crawler! if it was around my cat, she would go nuts thinking it was some sort of gigantic green beetle or something. LOL! cheers Phil and see you in the next vid!
This is Fantastic! I'll get this and also the Turbo Racing C81 1/76 scale rc truck. I don't need the FPV cam, I already have an Insta360 Go 2 that I put on my other RC trucks.
crawlers gennerally have a drag brake , meaning the brakes apply automaticaly when theres no foward or reverse input. which works much better for crawling then how most rc's operate.
I have some 1/24 trail trucks. Im wanting to upgrade them, and try a fpv camera. I live in the bush, I've got a heap of crawling tracks that would be fun to film.
Finally got my RC crawler. My wife is trying to claim a divorce cos I’m spending all my time with it after work. I don’t think the kids are going to stay with her with this piece of gem of technology
So, your past videos of the SNT micro cars (diatone) made me buy one. Basically it is the version after the one your tried. The goggles have a different VTX table than the usual, so the picture quality could possibly be better than what you get. Really wanted this one too, but cant afford it atm... they made a tiny jeep too, same wheelbase as the other ones. But this is just a different level in my opinion with the capability to crawl.
It’d be cool if they made something you could wrench on that’s this small… it’d be a pain so they’d have to make it simple like motor swaps, esc upgrade, tires etc. I’d say it’s pretty impressive compared to what I grew up playing with
Its called ZipZap, and yes you could swap motors (different windings, stock, high torque, high rpm options), mine you could also change wheels or add wheelie bars (as well as a sideways spin wheelie bar so it would spin around 360 on its back wheels. Mine was a 4 wheel drive monster truck and I did similar, it could climb things about 80% its height by doing a wheelie, then with its far superior tires it would climb up almost anything. It was pretty impressive, things twice as big as this video showed were no issue at all.
That was of course 2 decades ago when they launched in Radio Shack, but I had mine probably about 15 years ago (it still works, even though its fallen off tables countless times). If you grew up in the 70's then unfortunately micro electronics had not developed enough, and you needed to be born in the 90's or possibly 80's to really see something like this possible.
I've done this with a 4 wheel drive monster truck ZipZap. that thing could really crawl, also had wheelie bars, quite peppy. It had much nicer large wheels that could really crawl over objects about half its size (or do a wheelie and then start climbing steps about 80% its height)
Also I designed a 3d printed LEGO mount plate (replaces top cover with a modular LEGO brick platform base, makes it easy to mount other accessories or install a lego driver on top to look cute), the camera setup though I grabbed from one of FPV mini quads and a dap of hot glue, then a tiny battery and away I went! That thing has survived falling off tables countless times, and its probably about 15 years old now (the super capacitor is aging out, I was going to run lipo through a buck converter on the LEGO shell but never got around to it, it would probably run 10 minutes on a battery setup like that)
7:32 getting some in a race car format (lower CG) and putting them on the black sizzler track would probably be a hoot. If you didn't suffer from vertigo that is.
smart, i could do that as i have fpv gear used in rc flying, i can see you getting fpv goggles and just sitting down doing rc car stuff with a big pot of coffee by ya
Did you try setting the power on the transmitter to 50% (not 100%) to see if that helped with the low speed control? Pretty cool little truck. I need to go see if you did a review on the TRX4M and see if you put it by an scx24 for size comparison.
So modding it? Lower the fpv into the body, Change the susepntion gearing and motor where possible for slower speeds, Cut the body for approach angle etc?
Clearly, the slow speed isn't that good. Surely, the coming new versions will get the better modulation this "bug" needs to be fun to drive. This spy cam really seems an atomic scale.😳The same onto a 1/24 crawler, a pan car or a drift car would allow a fantastic FPV experience. It'd be far more interesting to try. Now you have one, would you please do that for us in a later video ? 😉
Kinda cool, but jerky as a bird moving. They should have put some gear reductions or something to smooth that out a bit. Still... Imma probably have to get one. Lol.

Link to buy the fpv?
Do you need the remote? Or can you come trolling it in another way like with uour phone
Wife and I run a service station and I often “harass” employees/customers with scx24 but this little guy.. I can fit it in a register or a box of Twinkie’s!
Hahaha
Why the harrassment? They're just innocent little RCs have love for them, they're not like obnoxious idiotic teenagers.
Anyone ever stomped on it?
@@theLyzhendricks Not yet 🤫
@@flat-out I've seen more annoying idiotic adults.
This thing would be perfect for driving around an HO scale train display.
The tiny RCs people build are pretty amazing.
Yes 👌
I was thinking the same thing, and I actually have a huge HO train terrain display in storage. Thinking of dusting it off just for this.
@Battlefresh post the video when you do
What an incredible piece of miniaturized technology, It's both a toy and a marvel of engineering to me
That looks like a lot fun. It was more capable a crawling than I expected. I could see kids having a lot fun with and adults after a few beverages.
Yes, a fun ‘desktop’ crawler… just a little on the expensive side
This is perfect for quick under car inspections without jacking them up as already quickly demonstrated here. Need a little light extra though but that’s easy. Lot’s of cheap magnets small LED’s around now.
Damn that performed 100 times better than I thought
This is awesome 👌 cheers mate
Cheers dude
it makes you feel really tiny and makes the world huge🤩 so asowme ✨
Hola Mr Tomley como estas , me gusta este pequeño auto ,tiene buena suspension , mini carro espia ,sLudos y gracias por compartir feliz dia a todos
Thanks Julian.
I’ve got the red one and I love it. So much fun to drive around the house with the Fpv. Sure, its expensive but its well built
But no oroportional throttle
@@MarioDoodles It has proportional throttle though.....
Thanks for the review. The non proportional throttle is a deal killer for me.
That little thing is actually really capable lol
get some lil wider wheels for this and see if you can fix the wheel base for the toppling. idea i would like to see is the fpv through tunnels and tubes, so a crawler course you have to use the fpv to complete it as your unable to see the course.
Sounds good 👌
This reminds me of the 70s Swiss tank simulator. Really neat idea.
Yes, really cool little thing
That is too much fun! Very good little performer
Thats actually really cool. When I was little me and my dad used to race little micro cars like that around the kitchen. Fond times
Very cool! Reminds me of the RadioShack Zip-Zap monster trucks I had as a kid.
Yes 👌
I got a zip zap but it's like a 69 mustang
I can see someone sneaking one of these into a display at the scale model world in Hamburg, Germany. ! 😂😂😂😂
Wow I just want an fpv camera like that for my SCX24
They are everywhere❤
Would be interesting to see it without fpv on your hill climb board.
Looks so capable for its size, i am really impressed with this !
It’s not great… needs a bit more low down control. Fun though 👌
neat little crawler! if it was around my cat, she would go nuts thinking it was some sort of gigantic green beetle or something. LOL! cheers Phil and see you in the next vid!
Looks fun for the living room table
Yes 👌
I would have done ANYTHING for this when I was a kid
Thats a lot of cash for something with such chunky throttle modulation. Reminds me a ton of those coke can cars that used to be under 10 pound
Yeah, not cheap
This is Fantastic! I'll get this and also the Turbo Racing C81 1/76 scale rc truck. I don't need the FPV cam, I already have an Insta360 Go 2 that I put on my other RC trucks.
that thing is awesome. I always wanted an RC hot wheels. This is about as close as your going to get I think. Will be ordering.
crawlers gennerally have a drag brake , meaning the brakes apply automaticaly when theres no foward or reverse input. which works much better for crawling then how most rc's operate.
Great little 4x4 great video great music.
Lol that thing is awesome 👍👍
Love the pebble that's included as a Crawling course for it 😅
Haha, yeah pretty cool that it’s a real bit of rock
I might get on just for the camera. It would work great in 24 or 18th scale crawler!!!!👍👍👍
Would be cool on a mini crawler
That hotwheel looks so damn familiar..🤔😂
😅

Hope you are joking 😂😂😂
Probably she’s cheating and just wants a reason to divorce

Diese Camera an einem drift car macht bestimmt Spaß 😊
He drove an..... itsy bitsy teeny weeny little green RC four wheely.!😉 😉
Well if nothing else, it's pretty cool. I have one of those FPV buggies. That was pretty awesome.
Yes, certainly cool to play with on my desk 😎
Hey buddy, I think this an awesome little rc 4x4 crawler.
I want one! Massive 👍's up.
Keep up the good work fella.
Cheers mate 😎🤘

Cool little RC for sure! Looks a lot of fun!
It was fun 🤩
Hot Wheels track + FPV goggles = roller coaster simulator.
That's cool. And very capable for something so small
Yes, for its size it’s pretty good!
Cool! Thank you, Sir! Ooh, will a front and rear facing cam configuration work?
been waiting for this one
Aren't we just amazing at entertaining our selves lol 😂 This is brilliant it look's so much fun ,I can see myself buying one of these .
i was looking at theses last week there so cool
That looks like fun! I wonder what is most difficult about getting variable speed down to really slow for crawling...
It would be even better if it had some more low down control
Maybe not enough kinetic mass in tiny motor spindles/rotors and not enough space for gear reduction?
Diatone makes FPV drones. That thing is almost as cute as you, Phil. lol
Pretty cool. Needs a 360º camera.
Crazy little unit!
It’d be cool if they made something you could wrench on that’s this small… it’d be a pain so they’d have to make it simple like motor swaps, esc upgrade, tires etc. I’d say it’s pretty impressive compared to what I grew up playing with
They offer all the parts to build one of their race cars
Its called ZipZap, and yes you could swap motors (different windings, stock, high torque, high rpm options), mine you could also change wheels or add wheelie bars (as well as a sideways spin wheelie bar so it would spin around 360 on its back wheels. Holy cow I need one...
I noticed this lil RC don’t care bout the camera stuff but I’ll get one in hopes more companies will make better crawlers this this.
Yes, some stand alone micro crawlers that would be good
That’s pretty damn impressive
The fpv camera on top is like the equivalent of putting a full size camcorder on a 1:10 lol 📹
Well now that's just F*%#!@g adorable!
7:32 getting some in a race car format (lower CG) and putting them on the black sizzler track would probably be a hoot. If you didn't suffer from vertigo that is.

Haha, I’d have to make sure I didn’t get coffee down me.. unless I had a separate camera on the mug 😅
WOW... spettacolare...sarebbe bello trovare un truck in scala 1.87 !!!...bel video ciao Grande
All about the Hot Wheels track!
Did you try setting the power on the transmitter to 50% (not 100%) to see if that helped with the low speed control? Pretty cool little truck. I need to go see if you did a review on the TRX4M and see if you put it by an scx24 for size comparison.
Brushless conversation time
Haha
As we get older we don't outgrow toys, they just get more expensive :)
Looks like a 1/5 scale Rc for Stewart Little!👊🏼😝😎
If thr could only fit the camera in the cab one day. That will be amazing
very very nice car 👍🚙🚙🚙
Cool! Is it possible to get the Fpv camera separately, to retrofit and existing car?
So modding it? Lower the fpv into the body, Change the susepntion gearing and motor where possible for slower speeds, Cut the body for approach angle etc?
Sounds good 👍
I want to travel through the mouse holes in my house with these and see what's in the walls 🤔

Very very cool Rc vidéo
Needs to have those old stomper style foam tires those crawled over anything
*Not sure where to get that round our course. 😅 Look so cool maybe it would go around in the suitcase course.
You had me at magnets.
I see LCG Potential 🎉
😎🤘
Thats pretty neat
The stickers come in the newer box with a key chain!
It looks great
Needs slightly larger tires in my opinion, anything you could swap in?
Bros never herd of the urethra mobile
What an amazing little thing 👍👍👌
Sweet outro music Phil!
Cheers dude
Looks cool. Will the car only option bind with a FlySky GT3 or GT5?
Ive been wanting to do something similar and pair it with a stationary spin bike. Very neat!
what would happen if someone crawled up someones butt in fpv with that car like a magic school bus adventure
@Tomley RC
Where did you get the external screen and how do you pair it with the camera?
Or is there a better screen what will work with the FPV car?
oh lord this is so cool!!
I have a 1/76 scale Turbo Racing Nissan skyline drift car that has head lights, tail lights, underglow, and even a gyro.
I think I need one in my life. 🥴
That thing would fit inside a pack of cigarettes- like a little zippo lighter cruising around- complete with spy camera!! Great video ‼️ 👍👍🦾🦾
Haha, yes
Kinda cool, but jerky as a bird moving. They should have put some gear reductions or something to smooth that out a bit. Still... Imma probably have to get one. Lol.
Way cool r Phil even smaller than my old Matchbox cars
Is this running on 8S? I mean the camera is almost as big as the truck so I would assume is pretty heavy.
Is it IMAX quality?
A taller wider tire on there and that little fella would be bad ass!
Try it with two cameras one forward and one backwards
Tbh,I don't mind the camera quality that much,it has nostalgia to it
the end is cool its like play hotwheels pc game (first person view)! oh wait..
I have got to get one!!!
So cool!
Very Cool.
