Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. These videos hopefully make you excited to travel and eat food around the world as well. There's such a joy in getting out of your comfort zone and growing as human being by traveling to new places and eating delicious food you've never tasted before.
I'm currently based in Bangalore because India is my favourite country in the world. Travel in India is kind of my thing but I've been al over the world. Just check these playlists to begin your journey with me: bit.ly/2l4sMk4
FAQ's:
Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: bit.ly/2l17T9h
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: • HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORL... and this one: • HOW TO SAVE MONEY FOR ... to learn more about my story.
Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use?
A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.
Q Why do you love India so much?
A Watch this video: bit.ly/2iyUKkc and this one: • WHY I LOVE INDIA - 6 M...
Chalo Chalo!!!! Hindustani food.... Fainting!!!!!

Great video. I started using ghee over a year ago. Good stuff.
Don't eat ghee too much..It will make u fat
@@asingha94
its a myth bro
Ghee doesn't makes u fat dude
@@mishai3326 I have been doing Keto Ghee works out fine, agree about not making you fat.
Deshi cow billona gee
I need an Indian super market in my life hahah need those masalas and ghee 💛
If you want pure products then you need to visit Indian villages, everything is prepared by households only.
From masala to ghee to milk products.
You’re the reason I know about paneer and every time I go to an Indian restaurant I order it! My friends and family love it now too ❤️ thank you for educating foreigners on the variety of Indian food
So happy to hear that!
Indian like spicy 😂😂😂
Ivana... Now a days u look like indian... 😊
an Indian, vlogging Indian supermarket and only Indians are watching, that's called blind love :)
She's not Indian...
@@RealManasBose she do not carry indian passport, but lives in india and she is almost indian.

I am from England and love these vlogs. They really make me want to go back, I was last there is 2000
India View What you think having a commercial supermarket is something great? No wonder white people make fun of you 😂
Maida = Refined Wheat flour
Aata = Wheat flour
Sooji = Semolina (fine)
Rawa = Semolina ( Coarse)
Dhania powder = Coriander powder
Chutiya..... Sooji is rice flour
In Europe we had milk in bags, too. I remember as a child that my mother had a holder for those bags, but they all disappeared from the supermarkets at around 1980.They tried a comeback in the early 1990s, but it wasn't a success at all.
You can buy many products form Haldiram's in Asia-shops in Europe, too. You are right, they are the best. My favourite is "Bombay Mix". :) Very popular here in Germany is now "Kurkure". It's always sold out hours after my local Asia-shop has them :)
That's so cool! Love learning more about this. Thank you!
Kurkure is very famous snack in india😍😍
@@dayasagarpatil905 I know, thanks to Rickshawali.😉
Really?? Kurkure is popular in among local germans??
@@soumyadipsaha2889 Well, relative. But it sells very good at Asia-shops here, better than any other of those snacks.
It's very emotional to see the faith being restored in Indianess by the original atithis like you .. otherwise Western media have already shown India like the most dangerous place which of course in not true...Thank you once again..God bless you
Jhooth to nahi bolte na, dost. Manipulate karne ke liye bhi kuch to lafda hona chahiye na.
She is no more atithi. Anybody who stays more than 3 days in a place will no longer be atithi there. She is staying in Bangalore from 3 years. How do you call her atithi?
Unbelievable, I was in India about 15 years ago and earlier. The modernisation is so fast, new airports, metros, cheap 4G mobile services etc. Need to go back and check it out. If only Australians could get multiple year visas like France USA etc.
You totally need to go! My friend visited 14 years ago and couldn't believe the changes in the country
It's all due to change in govt in 2014..
No India has changed .. 17 out of 20 fastest developing city in the world are from India
@@Cradaver चुप कर chutiya..... मोती ने तो सब बेच दिया.
Yes.... But now after 2014.... There is no development.... Currently INDIAN PRIME MINISTER is selling all crucial nation assets to his friends.
And the MEDIA is no more free.... Like it was before 2014.
As the days pass by you sound more and more Indian!!😃😃

Glad to here that..it's so beauty here and I dnt know why some foreigner are interested in slums and powerty
Obv that is the thing we r not proud of n as a developing country trying to solve hose issues
I love watching tours of grocery stores in different countries! Usually when you think about travelling somewhere, you want to know about historical landmarks, fun things to do, interesting nature to see, etc... but shopping for daily food is so mundane that it actually becomes interesting, because you don't always think about what such a basic activity looks like in different places. It's something I completely overlooked for a really long time. :D
I enjoyed this video. Good selection of products. Greetings to India from the UK. 😊
I am seriously very great full that you appreciate my nation this much....stay safe stay healthy.
Next minister of Culture and Tourism ,i can see in video the one who is recording 😎😎😎😎
Dear Iv, as a indian citizen l appreciate your interest in lndia and trying various foods and visiting places. Many states have different varieties of preparations.
I love city of Bangalore!! I came to this city from Canada and straight away I've fall in love with this city. Weather, vibrancy attracts me the most. I haven't tried traditional food much however I like most of south indian stuff. I've seen couple of your videos and found them very interesting.
Love the music in the background. My last two trips in India, I was not only taking photos and videos, but also recorded songs and kirtans. I am probably the only person in my country that knows indian music, so having that music is really awesome. And some of the kirtans, oh, it means a world to me. And takes me back, to that reality, where I just go to gurdwara, just sit there, spend time, listen to kirtan, and enjoy my time there. Love the puja section, too. I miss jeera biscuits. Love soan papdi. Oh, I have finally tried hajmola during my last trip. 😂
You made us Indians love India even more... Love you ma'am💞
Thank you Ivana for taking us into your world. Your vlogs are soo good that I feel like I am actually living the experience. God bless you, keep up your great work. Much love to you xxx

Never ever I had found supermarket could be this much fun :-)
Gulabjamun you see at 12:19 are not like the canned ones. They contain powder mix with which you need to make dough, then dough balls , then deep fry them and finally soak them in seperately made sugar syrup to get gulab jamun.
They are readymade, but they don't taste like the original ones
@@prabhakarmishra2182 It is ready mix - not ready made. Pls check again.
@@srikrishnasudhamsukambhamm3345 bro I don't disagree with you but readymade Haldiram gulab jamun are also available, they are smaller in size, little bit stiffer, they cylindrical box that you see there carries readymade stuff not the mix

6:13 Very good to have GHEE in India Supermarket, I never see GHEE in supermarket here in Brazil.
I didn't realise how much of masala is there in our foods from soda to oats lol.
Even in sweets and dessert also ;)
I guess rava / sooji is semolina. Dhaniya is coriander so coriander seeds powder... 14:09 is multani mitti which is fuller earth :)

I literally died when she said upma as her favourite... 😐😂😂

Upma was my favourite dislike during my school days. Afterwards, I learnt to like it.❤😊👍
You still alive though.

Most women don't know how to make uppittu properly.
Hajmola is the stuff. If you ever come to India, try Hajmola. It is not subtle and it is lovely.
A perfect guide on supermarket shopping for tourists visiting India.I highly recommend this video to people who are planning to visit or are currently visiting India.
Hi, I also live near K.R.Puram, me and my friend usually visit the Gopalan Mall to watch movies, and usually eat at the bakery in more mega store 😄
Supermarkets are definitely dangerous for all our wallets 🤣🤣🤣
Ivana you are a clever shopper...🤗🤗🤗
Paneer is worth it. Here in Sweden, I find it to be expensive. I am out of luck.
Ashish Tiwari make ur own paneer then, google kar lo😏
Buy milk and make it paneer ...my mom used to do it ...it's more soft, pure and cheap
@@hemasingh8033 bhai western countries main pure fat milk nahi milta jiase india main hai

I love it when you said,"chalo chalo" 😃
Amazing shopping i really enjoy your videos and you are the best you tuber vlogger love you ❤️❤️
Thanks for posting...very helpful.
Interesting video about this Indian Supermarket, Ramen Noodles made by Nissin I've seen a video on how to cook that up into a healthier meal with veggies and an egg, that Maggi Masala recipe is worth checking out, maybe I could use Asian noodles and make it from scratch?lol... Chocolates, cookies and crackers, just looking at the packages tantalizes my tastebuds, lol....but I was surprised not to see a Dutch sweet that is very GOOD, Stroop Wafels, everytime LaComer puts them out on the grocery shelves here in Mexico, they're gone FAST! Thanks for sharing, liked and greetings from Mexico! :D

Amul, haldiram and patanjali indias best brands.they never compromise on quality.
not sure about patanjali..
patanjali juices got rejected at first due to some quality issues
@@ssharma_ji yep,but after that they made huge improvements. I personally like their ghee and mustard oil.
Not patanjali..
Patanjali is a fraud. Amal and haldiram are the best
haldiram is banned in US lolz

When you see masala in everything welcome to india😝😍
check for brand name instead of the pictures. Bourbon brand was Brittania on the packet you showed and its original, if its not then none in India. Brittania and Parle is top most brand in India. Also Gulab Jamun mix is a readymade flour to make gulab jamun. the taste depends on you how you make it. its not Gulab jamun but flour.
