THANK YOU for clearing this cars name power wise. Can’t believe how many people hated on this car, Seems the hate is slowing down now. I must say you have the most informative videos about mustangs I ever seen on RUclips. Would love to see some more 👍
Great video. I really appreciated that you said realistic percentages for drivetrain losses. So many people assume modern drivetrain losses are 20% and over inflate the crank numbers. 12% loss is realistic with that car. You have definitely earned the sub from me. Great video.
Appreciate that! I've been hot rodding my entire life and have had the shop since 2015. I'm just now getting around to the youtube thing but what you see is what you get!

This car literally makes 20 more hp than my c6 I make 422 hp and 393 torque on a stage 4 btr cam and cold air intake and long tube headers. Not bad at all for a Mustang I’m impressed love how they look too.
When the pcm detects a major fault, often times the car will not go to PE fueling or “power enrichment”. With no fuel going to the motor, it won’t make power and will start to knock and the pcm will pull back the spark timing. No fuel and no timing = no power!
A lot of the dyno videos of the manual DH were pulled in 4th gear because of hitting the speed limiter in 5th and not being able to go to redline. How did you get around that with a 5th gear pull?
Probably because its a handling pack car with Y rated tires (186mph). My assumption is that my factory speed limiter might be higher than the non handling pack cars. The factory governor in a given vehicle is DIRECTLY correlated to the tires that are installed from the factory. I.e. - aunt sallies toyota corolla might have a 140mph speedometer but her factory "S" rate tires means she's governed at 118mph..
@@jordanperformance I believe Middleton Performance had the handling package on their manual DH and ran into the speed limiter issue in 5th gear when they put it on the dyno.
@@jordanperformance seems like there are a lot inconsistencies going on in these dyno videos. But, I think you are one of the few that have been able to dyno it in the 1:1 gear ratio.
@@jordanperformance Middleton got the same numbers as you. they mave have hit the rev limiter too and thought it was a speed limiter. raising the rev limit to 8k is possible with these right? Maybe it will make a bit more.
Stop waving that keyboard towards the car! my anxiety is through the roof! nice dark horse. hello from Gainseville, fl, it's hot here too. None of these other shops are logging AF ratio? Thought that was pretty standard with dyno runs or is that only when tuning or forced induction?
pretty standard yes but since these cars have factory wideband 02 sensors, they're probably not using the dyno wideband to check. And my assumption is that not all the shops actually go through the trouble to datalog using IDS or FDRS since no other aftermarket softwares are currently supported.
Awesome car love the new mustang Happy birthday bro and many more Ford powered forever baby keep on pulling the knot out of them boties and the horns off them mopars l love it
That's correct. Until the PCM is unlocked and at the very least mapped so the datalogging can work, most people are essentially flying blind.
