- We remove the intake, restrictors from the dual intake inlets and head out for our first Dragy timed run. Excited to add more power, wheels, tires, suspension and drivetrain upgrades. What supercharger or turbo kit should we add?

Took the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.

No wonder the Dark Horse is rather slow (12.5 ET) for a 500 crank hp (440rwhp) car. Nearly 4000lb curb weight plus 300lb driver is too much mass for even that awesome Gen 4 Coyote engine to pull around.
when you add things like mag ride, Brembo, brakes, etc. that all adds up

@@DJDinaggio Peer pressure and marketing are usually what drives people to mess with their cars. Mustangs are becoming pricey and it might make sense to preserve future value and not monkey with the hardware. My advice is keep the old parts and slap them back on when time to sell your Mustang.

I may do this to my GT when I pick it up. I kind of would like to see a dyno run before and after to see that it is worth it.

Surprised how loud the stock exhaust sounds. My former '19 Bullitt, even in track mode, didn't sound that loud inside the car.
I was too, sounds really good in person.
FYI: there is supposed to be a USB on the rear view mirror, for either a radar detector or drive Camera. A nice option to mount up a radar and get rid of a cord hanging on the dash.

I looked at one for $117,000 on local Ford dealership. I just didn't see it... I figured these cars would be 60k but not sure they're worth GT500 money. I think I will wait to see if there's going to be a California Special edition and look at them again in couple years to see where prices fall.
You’re better off going with a gen 2 or 3 the aftermarket is robust for them and they’re actually able to be modded. Stay away from anything new mustang these cars are a total dud

You don’t have to do 90% of that 😂 just 2 screws remove the mas air sensor and one bolt and the intake lifts up, pliers remove put back

That has to be around 12 flat on a track with a lighter driver and better tires. The auto will probably do 11.7 on the track.
Hard to say, every track and surface is different. Still not fast enough haha!
You should install those air straighteners back in. Mafs are very sensitive and finicky with air changes and without the straighteners, your maf readings will be all over the place due to the turbulence it will now experience
Those were not before the MAF, but after. So I'm not sure they would have any effect on readings.

Well, it really depends on what your goals are. Do you want like bigger break packages an extra options I wouldn’t say the Gt performs better it’s just lighter.
@TeamBeefcakeRacing I'll like to get the dh, but I think it might under preformed with all the hype behind it. That's why I'm waiting to see the reviews on both cars. Don't want to spend 68k for dh when I get fully loaded gt for 61k. Also, as a daily driver.

What was the mph in the 1/8 and 1/4?
According to Car & Driver magazine, the 6-speed manual Dark Horse does the 1/4 mile in 12.5 @ 115. The GT with active exhaust and 486hp does it in 12.5 @ 114.
Any hp gains?

That’s not the filter lmao. The filters are literally shown at the beginning of the video 🤦♂️that’s a “carbon trap” as they’re calling it officially, but all I see is a restrictor specifically put in place for EPA BS.
