- A dying northerly sea was the conditions faced in tonights episode. The session didn't live up to expectations in terms of Numbers, however some nice fish did show.

Cracking fish mate. We were on Bondi not a sausage. When we seen all the lights on the beach we knew we'd made a mistake 😏 Whitesands was the same a few good bags there the same night. Ah well you live and learn
Another very productive session mate well done lovely fish. Always an enjoyable watch, ps those baits are awesome that double figure must be lurking ha all the best tight lines
Thanks very appreciated. Bites everycast maybe if I scaled down baits and hook sizes I might have caught more. But I was after the lunkers lol

Good stuff
Another good session mate , you did a great job with getting the rod tip in the footage as seen some good bites there , a kna it’s classed as hadston but was it the top of the beach where the rocks start at hauxley ? Appreciate ya vids mate , must take up a lot of ya time 👌🏻
Thanks 👍 no it was the right hand side beach when you get to the t junction at the bottom of the road down to the beach. Blockhouse beach as it's known as there is a concrete block structure up on the dunes. I normally fish around there
Arh ok mate yeah I know where you mean now .. thanks for that .. keep the vids coming kidda .. there a great watch .. cheers 👍🏻
Nice catch, what size hooks are you using please?
Depends really on the clean beaches I like a two hook flapper with single 3/0 hooks. Sometimes I clip I paternoster down with 4/0 and a 3/0 top on a pennel if using squid n worm etc (I like big baits). From the rocks I like 6/0 or sometimes 8/0 hooks. Obviously the majority of the marks I fish if you can put a bait within 30-70 yards youll get cod
@@grahamsidney9214thankyou buddy
fantastic catches! is this near Blyth? also any advice on fishing for cod like these from Whitley bay
@@OtisArt it's not too far from Blyth, just before amble. Whitley bay has some Fantastic fishing also. Lots of rock marks and beaches that will produce codling in the right conditions.
Thanks! So not so many cod at whitley as big as the ones you caught in this video? Or is a deeper water mark needed for the bigger fish. Also sorry for all the questions but do you recommend casting out over rockier areas if i can find them on Whitley Bay or best over sand? Again thanks sm
@@OtisArt Whitley bay beach is a great mark in the right conditions, throws loads of cod out. There's quite a few skeers with sandy patches all over. Go down on any northerly in winter and you'll see the head lights off the local club lads
Nice 1 a couple of cracking fish there mate. Do you think northumberland will still fish this weekend? Cheers
Think the sea is up all week. So there'll still be cod around, maybe not in the same numbers as before Xmas but January throws up some crackers.
@@grahamsidney9214 thanks planning to come across on saturday the videos of the marks are a huge help not knowing the area thanks
I got out and managed my first codling from dulce carrs then a 5lb bass from druridge beach safley returned
@@seanleicester4018 that's excellent bud well done 👍
