Glad to see you testing out the Speeduino. I have ran them on a few cars as well as my personal 280z for a few years. The developers are amazing. I enjoy the (cheap) DIY aspect of it.
@@ZozzMiata then you shouldnt use a m45 but go for a bigger one to avoid heat issues. Unless you just want a little bit of extra power but if you spend money on it anyway you should go for a bit more
@@bennigek7196 I don't want really more than 200 hp. I am mostly happy with the car but need a little more on uphills and overtaking. I already have an M45 on shelf. Bigger is hard to find here. And it is a long term project. First maybe I try speeduino without any mod
Looking forward to the turbo, manifold and downpipe install. I have the same exact G19 setup with the MaxSpeedingRods td04-13T turbo on my LHD car and had to make the downpipe oval and dent it in where the steering shaft is located. Otherwise it would not fit or hit the shaft and make the whole interiour and wheel shake. I am curious how it will fit on you guys's car!
So the IAT just gets zip tied to the side somewhere and all is good?? I dont know much about these but am becoming more interested the more I see about them. This seemed way too easy and cheap for how sweet it is. I might try and find one
Excuse my ignorance but what does changing an ECU do. Has that enabled the ability to spin the wheels, or is it changing something else we can't see yet? Sorry for my lack of knowledge.
This car always did spin the wheels, but adding an ECU let's us control every aspect of the engine running. In this case, we've not even touched the new ECU and it starts and behaves basically exactly as it did before. Which we were impressed by.
There is no PnP CORE4 board yet for anything other than the early 2 plug cars at the moment. However, we haven't yet seen it is like to live with so it's still very must in our testing phase.
@@BOFIRacingTV Thanks for your answer! I guess i'll have to go for the ME221 that you have there. Speeduino seemed better because of the wideband. I am close to get your SC kit anyway.
Hi I have a miata NA 1.6. 1990 I have installed a 30-0300 x-series wideband 450cc injectors end a speeduino PnP . the car works fine, I just have to keep the laptop connected the engine stops if I do not use the laptop it looks like it's losing ignition because dashbord clock not working when does that after it stops it starts very hard. but it works at only idle if I want to leave the engine dies again can be the sensor on the clutch pedal because I can't use the option to decelerate fuel cut off. if I activate it, it does the same thing as with the laptop disconnected I want to put a supercharger but I can't make the car work. if you can help me thanks
Your lack of care really got me twitching :\ Stock ECU thrown into the rain and then crushed... Why? Just keep it, or sell it! Also, assembling the ECU onto the bracket, with it resting directly on the boot lid paint is also rather infuriating xD
for the love of god please find out how to get the 2 step/launch control to work with this ECU an make a video about it. I've been trying for 2 weeks an can NOT get it to work..... I've tried everything the internet said to do an still nothing. no one has a video about it with this ECU yet.

Can you use it to boost an mx5
*Puts expensive parts on an NA and loads of care* : a mountain of problems
*Rag an NA, do burnouts and neglect it* :Better start first time everytime
😅
Awesome video guys, glad to see you liked it and it started so easily.
Can't wait for the follow ups.
I love my speeduino ECU. Been daily driving my subaru over 250whp for a year or so on it and now I'm over 300whp. It's on my RUclips na/t legacy
I used speedyefi for my na6 turbo Miata, it was a perfect plug and play kit!
Assembly on the trunk kinda hurt my feelings... scratches *aaarrgghhh*
If Austin Powers had an illegitimate son....
This is now my favourite channel since I need to do just about all the same stuff to my own car so I'm keen to see how the cutting & welding goes.
I am thinking speeduino for a long time. I am happy you are tried it. Maybe I will get a use of the Eaton M45 laying on the shelf 😃
U planning on supercharging a 1.6?

again, very interesting. fun & lots of infos in this channel. thanks for this. keep 'em coming
cant see if you did anymore to the basemap
Where abouts is your garage do you do ecu upgrades for customers?
wow nice to know, seems nice to start turbo mods
Once you put speeduino and turboino you will have a very capable miata
11:05 i swapped mine without removing the TB you just have to take the cover off the stock tps first, then the sensor..
Can you use the standard wiring for the included TPS?
HOLY SHIT GUYS I started installing my CORE4 PnP today, this video is like cheating :D
Nice!
I absolutely love these videos your making
You should show how you will setup the ecu and tune it
In a future video!

Stepped drill bit
The case is made from aluminium, so any drill bit will be fast on it

Diy efi sells them bought one yesterday
what mods did he do for the sound? sounded almost like he had a filter but there wasn't one
Video on that CRX 👀
I was just about to say this.
No strain relief and gasket on the ecu...show us your solution
It bothers me you didn't use grommets or any kind of strain relief on the cable and vacuum hose out of the ECU
Just like watching Roadkill ...:-)
Is there a link to the sill repair kit u showed at the beginning
We got it all from The MX-5 Restorer
Love the videos boys, keep up the casual lack of mechanical sympathy.
You forgot to take out the 10A Fuse.
That bit got cut from the video ☺️
Nice! I will follow this budget turbo build.
Whhaaaattttt. Please please please tell me you did some strain relief on those cables?!! 😢😢😢
Roughly how much do these set you back lads? And, would you recommend a speeduino for a forged engine turbo build or something else? Cheers 👍🏻
I would but do some research, see if the software available seems right for you.
400 last I checked
A DIY kit can be had for less than £90, all the rest of the stuff you might need will be more but depends on your car as to what you'll need.
