well i’m very thankful i found this cuz i had zero idea why he was alone at the beginning when he was supposed to live happily ever after with his wife…i figured they stayed in the big city with all the others…
The rage of losing somebody after seeing them suffer for so long, is something I can personally testify to. You wish that you were God so that you could bring them back, that you could save them but you're not God and you know you're powerless so you try to make yourself BECOME powerful through rage, intimidation and anger. It's not worth it.
Yep in the next season. Personally my prediction is Negan will play their game and will either completely turn back into savior Negan or will act like it and eventually turn on them. But if he does really go back to old Negan, can't say I blame him, as he's constantly mistreated by others. I think him and Daryl are somewhat on better terms though.

The purpose of the way he acted was to instill utter fear, deter people even contemplating of going against him. A defensive mechanism, i doubt he enjoyed it at all, it was a way to control. Because humans had proven to be untrusting, only trust he knew was fear
@letmelivegaming I think he enjoyed controlling them and he enjoyed the tactics he used to control them. He was depicted that way by JDM, often laughing at and taunting his victims. Someone who didn't enjoy it wouldn't do that. They may still engage in the behavior as a means to control through brutality, but they would do so somewhat reluctantly. They would probably even display intense anger and disgust. Negan fully embraces it. Watch the Glenn scene, his goal isn't just to control the group, his goal was also to embarrass and inflict intense pain on Glenn and Abraham. He stops midway through bashing Glenn's head, when Glenn was still alive and obviously in immense pain, to smile at him and taunt him. The writers of the show pulled back on this after Andrew Lincoln decided to leave the show. They knew they would need to retcon Negan a little to bring him more to the forefront as a protagonist.

@@AjspyaI can understand Maggie not having a new love interest, one of her own statements was that she'd never be able to love a man like she did Glenn ever again the vengeful war path was definitely excessive though

He's going to play and manipulate the bad guys, they harmed Hershel, Negan does not approve of this, he may be a stone cold killer but he's not a psychopath, he's going to kill them all I think. Do you remember the look he gave that one woman after she showed him what they did to Hershel? She's definitely dead meat 😅

Maggie actually showed understanding for what he did hell probably would have helped him if she knew what happened to Annie
