Ah, what a perfect way to ease the Monday Morning blues. Round of applause to all of you. This vid will really help many new and born-again hobbyists as it proves that when you level the field? Anything is possible. The , 'What? You don't know what Beatties was!' bit had me in stitches. Like walking into the best sweetshop ever...but better .....wasn't it? Great vid. Thank you to all involved.
Thank you for getting the gang all together. It was a blast to watch. I have a TT02 kit still new in the box. I have never built a RC kit before. One day when I build up the guts to open and build this kit maybe I can have as much fun as you all did! Thanks again, Lance
Wow Beatties now there a Model shop that cant be forgotten , thanks for the show guys and it was a definite blast to watch way to go Vinny and Mark and John - Popalong Sannga i love it
Great video lads, nice to see different racing classes, in a recent conversation with Marc I chatted about my recent experience in racing oval ministox and it was something I never thought I could get excited about as my first interest in RC started mid 80's when tamiya off road cars were the most popular. In reality I now realise that all classes are absolutely enjoyable, probably more so when everyone is pretty much running the same spec, that is when driving skill prevails. Well done on your 2nd and 3rd.
6:54 I had a good laugh when the guts fell out of one car. :D Anyway, this was top content from my view, so much fun seeing the youtubers race with the same cars. Was Kev running the TT-02 as a Porsche, that might be a bit of an oddity as it has shorter wheelbase than the rest, which might actually make it a more of a handful on some tracks. Looked like lots of people could have dropped their steering rate quite a bit.
@@websitesthatneedanem I would assume its the lapcounter transponder yes, dunno what else could fall of and the car still work. Only other thing in that size range would be a gyro 😆
Looks like this was great fun! Glad to see some of the friendly trash talk and you all seemed to have a good time with it. Racing is a ton of fun, even racing in novice. There are a couple tracks near me with friendly atmospheres and good people. Seeing your racing footage helps keep the excitement going for the next time I can make it to the track. Also just returned (to the states) from a lovely visit to London, Edinburgh and Islay. My first time across the pond and I had an amazing time. Beautiful sites, good food, great pubs & people, and so much history 🍻
@@PopalongRC I had not, but I grew up in California so I don't know if those existed on the west coast of the US. I'm early 40s so we had the local shops and my friend had a tower hobbies catalog that we spent hours looking through
You two did very well, congratulations. I enjoyed your video. It appeared Kevin was running a different body was it just the rear wing? This was a great idea.
That's mad you just mentioned Beaties .it used to be a massive model shop opposite Cardiff castle. And had everything in there you could imagine.. fooking loved that shop. That was in 97.
They were an amazing shop I got my first Tamiya Subaru Brat from Beeties in Nottingham from way back in the day the had an amazing shop in Manchester as well
Most definitely not. I got my first toy grade rc from there as a kid. Would of been Model Junction but my parents didn’t want me to have a hobby grade at that age
Brilliant work guys and girls 💯 would love to see a youtubers 🏁 race with mardave or kamtec minis indoor👍 or an outdoor truck race 1 electric and 1 nitro race 💯 keep up the great content from.james 👍
@@PopalongRC we had one in Romford and it was literally every boys dream. Floor to ceiling with model railways, Scalextric and Tamiya kits. I did for a while in the 90's and early 2000 . Unfortunately I'm my state rc tracks have all shut down and disappeared. Still love the hobby but other than bashing around I haven't raced in years
Easy win! 😂 Sorry Mark! Good drive tho! ❤ And what a great car for a startup in the hobby! Cheap! Strong! what more do you need! Just don't Try and be cleaver with them mods and cheat!

Cool concept but I would love to see the actual races not just clips of driving.....

Well done guys great show. ❤
Thanks Alex👍👍
LOL at Phil at the end. Looks like a great time was had by all.

Good fun mornings racing. Great video and nice to have met you both. Keep up the good work.(sorry to have bored you with half my life story)
We love meeting racers and visiting clubs
See you trackside soon
These are the best class of club racing and always brings the characters in the community, The Tamiya mo-3 mini and F1 is my personal favourite
Looks like everyone had a good day. Congrats on 2nd and 3rd place. I'd call that a good result, given the competition. 👍
We are Happy it was a tight race
And vinny's been there before😅
Looked like a great time! I like at the 8:08 mark when you see the dog-bone fly out. Typical stock TT02 racing right there!
There were dog bones all over the place

Any tips on where I can run a TT02 touring car in Hertfordshire? Me and a friend have one each.
Your best bet is Leighton buzzard rc club, not far from Hertfordshire, they run on Tuesday nights👍
West London outdoor track is Uxbridge which is not far either
Stevenage on Thursday is north Hertfordshire and they run tt01/2 class

Any tips on TT02 outdoor racing venues?
