lol wtf. I was literally searching today how to find this effect, then out of nowhere I get a notification "new video from seri, how to get tape stop effect". did you make this just for me bro?
hey man, ive been using Ableton and self taught for a loooong time. if you want more views, don't take so long to get to the point of what your trying to show your viewers. Ex: First show us what is going to sound like first, so that we know thats the sound we're looking for. it took you waaaay too long to get to the point and show us the effect. I appreciate the knowledge, and im just giving you honest feedback to help you. thanks again, this worked for me.
Is anyone else having a problem like this? I followed his video step by step, but when I add the pitch drop effect it will play that whole bar at a different pitch randomly. Sometimes it works at the original pitch, but when i replay the loop it will pitch the whole loop down completely.
What's the difference between using this method and directly transposing the audio clip? I know you use a simpler and automate the midi clip, but what's the difference?
not deactivating the tracks would effectively "double" all your tracks because they're all in the new audio clip anyway. I guess you could just delete them and just work with the new audio, but it would be good work process to keep the original tracks just in case you need to edit something in there and re-record them to a new audio file
when i do it, the audio of the resampling track always is at a lower volume and i cant seem to find why, i have to manually boost it with audio effects
Drew Martinez okay so.. On the left side of the Ableton window you will find a menu like small column. In the menu you will find 'Instruments' written just below 'Drums'. This is what able to offers. Click on the 'Instruments'.. another sub column will appear and you will find the 'Sampler' on the 9th number. Drag and drop it. Done my friend 😀
1.Open an Audio Track 2. Arm for recoring 3.double click (and select) the part where you want to apply effect 4.Select the "little E" then under "clip" set it to "Transposition modulation" 5. Apply effect. Be Happy.
Dude! can you be more enthusiastic and smiling and energetic when you make videos. That way you'll garner more attention, you'll be happy for the day and we'll be be happy too for the rest of the day! Music should be fun.!
$B beats are so generic and horribly mixed. the only semi decent thing is $crim's sampling, but most of the time he just takes a part of a song and that's it.
Make sure to put in complex and not beats!! Why do people forget this key step WTF!!! This had step had me all messed up! Stop leaving out important steps!

Amen
The beat was flames!
Or just use the Max Pitch Drop effect if you have Suite but great video.
damn man, thanks, made life so much easier
Holy fucking ultra shit maaan, thanks!!
It's easier but it doesn't sound as good.
Yo I've looked for this for years man, you've literally made my day🙏
That double pitch drop had me going “oooooo!” That got me too hype lol
You will be blessed for posting this
very cool. It's too bad you can't really do it until you've finished the mixing stage
dedris you can do it to separate tracks and bus them for later mixing
Wow...... This is sooo useful! And the tutorial is awesome!!! Thank You Seri!
Hi quality tutorial! Clear, concise, great examples. thank you!
Thank you man! Been looking for a way to do this effect with a controller instead of drawing automation

Kyle Richardson same here
Excellent, thanks!! The multiple tape stop suggestion was super cool!!
LIT BEAT BRO! LIT! Can you do a tutorial on how to get that 808?
What's the difference between using this method and directly transposing the audio clip? I know you use a simpler and automate the midi clip, but what's the difference?
I found this vid very helpful. Thank you very much 🙏
The beat is great, but that mix bro... Fire! Can you do a tutorial video for mix on Ableton?
Another cool video, thanks dude 👍
When I want to record audio on Ableton live, it records for a few seconds and then a suddenly stops. Can somebody tell me why and how I can fix this??
thank you so much, i'm not english so it took me so much time to find how to do this effect on yt cause i didn't know the name of it ^^'
if I resample, it gets quiter, then when I put it in sampler and make a midi note, it gets quiter again :/
I always wondered how people do that, now I know, big thank you
Hello, how can I type a number for pitch automation, it is impossible to return to zero with the mouse thank you (-65, 120, ect....)
can u tell me how to decrease trackspaces????
Very helpful thanks!
Yeah that was beautiful bro. Thanks for that! Great information.
Bro, what settings of "Color" do you have in Preferences? ;)
how do you make your tracks to be at -6db by default?
Right click a track and click “save as default audio/midi track”
Is there a way to do this with only "simpler" ??? You can't adjust the pitch bend range like you can with "sampler"
theheadhoochieincharge - yes just automate the pitch bend. The “pitch range” setting he used was for his pitch wheel on his MIDI controller
Question, why do we have to deactivate the tracks? Will they interfere with the audio clip? Is it even necessary? Or just personal preference?
not deactivating the tracks would effectively "double" all your tracks because they're all in the new audio clip anyway. I guess you could just delete them and just work with the new audio, but it would be good work process to keep the original tracks just in case you need to edit something in there and re-record them to a new audio file
works perfect for me, thanks!
when i do it, the audio of the resampling track always is at a lower volume and i cant seem to find why, i have to manually boost it with audio effects
check and make sure the default volume in the sampler isn't set to -12db
should be 0
Thank you Seri
thanks a lot for showing this technique :))
how do you make all tracks automatically at -6?
Make a new audio track set the volume at -6 and then save that as your deaf auto audio track
Where do u get the sampler from?
Drew Martinez lol bro it's pretty easy
That didnt answer my question
Drew Martinez okay so..

Michael Mantode - maybe he isn’t using Abelton bro. Anyways, it’s a stock plugin Drew Martinez
Just use the Max for Live pitch drop effect. No re-sampling and more flexibility
DUDE YOU R AWESOME !! thanks for the tips
Thank you, man. You really helped me
This beat made my speaker jump.
great tutorial, my dude
Thanks for this bruh!
wow thank you very helpful
why make things more complicate when you can use a grossbeat
Dude, thank you.

18 z - it’s a stock plugin that comes with Abelton Live

Where do you find out about all this shit?

1.Open an Audio Track
2. Arm for recoring
3.double click (and select) the part where you want to apply effect
4.Select the "little E" then under "clip" set it to "Transposition modulation"
5. Apply effect.
Be Happy.
Not really a tapestop though. This doesn't stretch time.
I just got the same effect whilst still maintaining the timing of the original track
its not the same.
Scott Farlee that's just pitch. tapestop is pitch + tempo
You for got the most important step or it won't work. Set it to complex!!! Why do people keep forgetting this step!!!
yugi boi and dilip tutorial NOW

$B beats are so generic and horribly mixed.

Make sure to put in complex and not beats!! Why do people forget this key step WTF!!! This had step had me all messed up! Stop leaving out important steps!

Guys, lose the damn commercials, I won't watch the video because I need to get through almost 3 minutes of BS.
