So I just bought this truck a couple of weeks ago. It's my first RC as an adult. Admittedly, I suck at "easing" into things and I suck at driving it. Shockingly, this is not a good combination. Already I've broken/damaged most of what you've laid out here. Cracked front hub, bent front dogbones, broken front upper control arm, broken rear wing and mount (it was cold), bent rear hinge pin, and currently waiting for a replacement rear control arm. I thought getting away from playing with real cars would be cheaper, but I'm starting to really wonder at this point. Just wanted to say that you're basically clairvoyant.
Sounds like you have been out having fun with it :) It sucks that they break so easily but once they are upgraded, less stuff seems to break... Half the fun is upgrading them... i like driving them more tho haha
This was my first one as adult too it's a kraton 6s exb is a beast been beating up on it ever since I got couple weeks back but ig came in naturally to me cus only have broken wing mount and a upper control arm and some loose screws which is a pain 😂 but been having a blast getting big air time and doing backflips 😁
Great info! Im waiting on all that stuff to break. I am honestly shocked I havent done in all of those parts yet after the skate park and constant construction site jumping. What I have broken is the rear wing mount, upper control arm, lower control arm that also bent the pin and blown the tires. Oh yeah, servo got slop in it. Threw in a PP servo thats SO much better than the stock one and also threw on the Belted Prolines and the truck is so much more stable and easier to keep the nose down. I dont really do fancy multi backflips. Its one rotation and im happy. I would throw some backflips on it if I wanted to do tricks. Stock tires dont last at 66MPH too long. lol Ive also had to replace the body. New body I put aluminum rails on the roof to stop eating through it and really need to add 3 layers of Gorilla tape on the body over the front shock area because they punch holes through the body if you flip on a speed run or land bad.
If you haven't already the shock cap bushings out the box have a lot of play. For whatever reason they changed the bushings to a sleeve style rubber bushings. I use the the M2C delrin bushings.
I got my EXB today, drove for like 20 minutes and the output from the right rear diff broke. Really annoying cause now i gotta wait a week for new ones.
@@9kk0lol now that you own a k6 check out my bullet proof diff video - It will help you a lot. Also, try and only use the m2c out drives. They last much much longer… ✌️
I have been racking my brain between a Sledge or XRT vs Kraton 8s EXB or 6s EXB....You have worked with Traxxas and Arrma. Which platform RTR do you prefer if you could only have one?
What's holding you up? No matter which way you go you're going to enjoy it. XRT is pretty sweet. The Kraton 8s arrived yesterday and does look beefy out of the box RTR. I think it comes down to which one you want to wrench on lol That's where the labour of love comes in. Both and all will be fun to drive. I have all 4 that you mentioned and the big guys impress me
I'm looking at the 6s EXB really hard because i have $800-900 to spend on a new vehicle, and i like Arrma. I know they cut corners in the servos, every arrma i buy, i budget for a new servo, but this slew of parts in this video is probably $300 I don't like Traxxas, the non availability of 3rd party traxxas aftermarket, the battery tray and clipless body system that limits your upgrade options. The only things i see the Sledge offering is the steel gears and such, which is nice, but i hate all Traxxas proprietary garbage and supposedly their ESCs suck, and i don't like supporting a company that is so sue-happy, and then they pull crap like stealing the Mudboss name, getting a cease and desist order to stop using the name... Traxxas remind me of Apple, overpriced, proprietary, closed sustems designed to sucker people into assuming they're buying the best because it's the biggest company, biggest price tag.
Ever stock vehicle RC I have owned has sh!t servos… but I have to say all the trucks are fun. I wouldn’t get to caught up in brands and just pick the truck you like the style of. All of them break and all of them have pros and cons. Picking an option you would “enjoy” working on would be my suggestion. If you get the Kraton 6s EXB, the rear diff upgrade should be done as soon as possible. I did an hour long video showing what and how. Otherwise, get one and start bashing bro 😎✌️
Another note… I just did a video on the Kraton 8S EXB. Might be worth taking a look at before you decide. Most beastly and durable RC I have driven yet

GT5s are awesome! I have 2 😊
Do those vitavon steering links work for the rear toe link as well. Vitavon says will work for front and rear....

Great content sir...are there any wheelie bars that will work for it? I've looked everywhere but to no avail
Rpm wheelie bar+wing mount combo
Much appreciated! I agree with @magnusstone, rpm makes one. Also seen a few others on Amazon

Can you provide the exact ones? I’ve purchased from eBay, Herizon, Amazon and RPM and they didn’t fit. Even RPM confirmed they don’t have any that fit
Can you show the part numbers
I'll note that for future builds. If you go to the Vitamin website and click fireteam everything is under there. Same with M2C.
I just added all the links to the parts on the Kraton build
Brake
Brake
Brake
Brake bud, not everything brakes on that truck
8th pack in i broke front driver side outdrive cup. Monkey metal bro. Seriously wtf
Get those M2C out drives... It will save you the headache
@KUDRARACING sold out at the moment
@KUDRARACING I was able to score your last set of chassis skids on the bay. Looking forward to that
Well that just tells me not to buy it. I shouldn't have to put money into a car that cost almost 600.00
K6 is a really fun truck, but yes... needs a ton of upgrades. The Traxxas Sledge is much better right out of the box
The 6s EXB is actually $700, not almost $600
