As always, great video! I agreed with everything you said and you explained all your points with excellent evidence and understandable opinions! It's a shame that a lot of movies and TV shows are going this route. When I heard that a new Batwoman show was coming to the CW, I had a feeling Batwoman was only chosen for the one obvious reason! By the way, I can't believe that the CW got away with broadcasting content that featured characters doing things that are very controversial and they are terrible messages for the viewers (example: A lady says that strong women can do anything they want even if it is indecent or bad for you as long as you do it in the name of feminism) and we have characters that say "hashtag: feminism". It has nothing to do with the story of the show and it was probably forced in by the writers or some high ups who run The CW channel!

Do you remember the episode of OG Powerpuff girls when a villain named Fem Fatale started robbing Susan B Anthony coins? When the Powerpuff girls went to stop her, she convinced them that men were inferior to women, asked Blossom to name a female superhero, and Blossom could only say "wonder woman." The girls stopped doing what their dad asked them to do, and even told the Mayor to save the city himself. At the end of the episode, their (female) teacher and the Mayor's assistant (forgot her name) told the girls that misandry won't stop misogyny, and they beat up Fem Fatale while telling her that feminism is about equality. It's a shame that Powerpuff girls can get this message across better than CW shows targeted towards adults

I dont mind that line either way. Because in the actual episode it was about him not doing shit on his own all the time and getting Jacked up because of it. Well that would be out of character since according to bad blood Batwomen became who she was becuse after her mother and sister were killed she went on a downward spiral and was nearly killed in an alley before Batman showed up and saved her. And Batman inspired her to become a stronger person its becuse of him she got her life together and sought to help others instead of whallowing in her own misery. Batwomen idealizes and respects Batman he was her inspiration. Which is why i didn't mind the character Becuse the Batwomen i was introduced to was confident enough to proudly say Batman was her hero and pulled herself out of a self destructive spiral even though it was hard. These other female superheroes who bash guys don't come across as strong but insecure bullies who have to tear other people down to feel better. Strong women don't tear other people down or make excuses they own their crap , weak women tear other people down and constantly push the blame onto others.

Starfire and Raven were the strongest Titans in the Teen Titans TV show but they were written with great character development in mind so no one had issues with it. There is a reoccurring problem in society where women need to feel strong by making men look weak. Being feminine is not weak. Saying women are better by acting like men doesn't make them strong. It makes them insecure. Nothing rational about it.

I do think the shows especially Supergirl have gotten more into pushing SJW polotics and force feminism a lot. Who are these established Characters? Thunder is the only one I can think of (don't know if she is but didn't remember hearing that before) so one D list character is the unforgivable part when the rest are made for the show? And for the record DC and Marvel have both had established characters "turn gay" which I am guessing you disapprove of, and fair enough. But clearly you forgive the comics for it since you are defending the honor of their characters now.

I personally loved the newest crossover... at least the first 2 parts of it. Then the supergirl part happened and it was so bad i was skipping large parts of it because it was just cringey and so hard to watch.

Clarke came down with a boyfriend, but once he was gone, she's only had relations with women and I don't even know if the writers consider her bi. The Originals, turned sister Freya into a lesbian even though she was partying and flirting with guys when she first joined the family. Supergirl turned Alex into a lesbian even tho she was given sexual chemistry with a guy in the first season, but out of nowhere, now she's been a lesbian the whole time but just didn't know it, later had a girlfriend, and even became one of Sara's many one night lovers. I guess you can say that Arrow did this first when suddenly Nissa Al Ghul showed up as Sarah's lesbian lover. A lot of these characters would have been better off if just written as bi instead of just suddenly becoming lesbian 😂 Even with Sara, she's supposed to be bi, but most of the time only portrays herself to be attracted to girls, and now is in a lesbian relationship, (I bet because giving her a boyfriend would back track the message CW is trying to send as well as anger a certain subsect of viewers who would complain that that writers are afraid of sticking with lesbian plot points) I'm not saying there are no gay male relationships/characters, but the only major one is Curtis, the rest are pushed to the background.

Great point about how the Batman Animated Series portrays strong female characters with entertaining stories without having to rely on the SJW crap. Amazing how these old school cartoons have more weight than these shows that have way more resources at their disposal

I liked the first season of supergirl. It surprised me and was a good entertainment but now.... It's the same with legends. The first round was great but then these new characters came in... everything you said is a 100% correct especially legends man. you hit the nail on the head. it's sad because the arrowverse started off great, with the exception of supergirl.
My biggest issues is having seen Teen Titans dance around it, Arrow try to mention it but dodged it always, Gotham spent years trying to be a batman show without batman, everyone is in this weird DC legal space when it comes to batman. Everyone can mention Batman, have him as a shadow, a figure, a mist, but no one can actually have an actor playing batman. Even though the current Batman, Affleck, seems to be done with it. The show Supergirl made the decisions to show superman because pressure built up. Batwoman will run into the same issue.
Actually, there was an animated movie of Batman and Superman in which Batman mentions that Supergirl's cells absorb much more sun light than Superman's cells, so it's not something that the writers pulled out of their asses...although I can't deny the possibility that they never even bothered to check if it's even true themselves...
In the cartoon they EXPLAINED why supergirl was stronger, and the reason given does not match the origin of supergirl in the tv show. And how do you explain that supergirl (live action) is a better hero than her cousin who has at least 10 years of experience on her...... especially as she fights HIS rouges gallery and doesn't have one of her own.
Her absorbing more sun light only makes her stronger because superman always holds back. In the show superman said he didn't hold back against supergirl and still lost and flat out says she's better than him so that absorbing more sunlight excuse doesn't work here and she only won because she has a vagina and the show love saying that people with vagina's are superior than people with penises
The problem is that CW is a cesspool of bad writers who can only deal in surface level over-the-top messaging. The only way they know how to write a Strong Female Character (A phrase they completely misunderstand) is to present them as more capable than the male characters. They don't bother giving those characters depth of their own, they use them and the actors who play them as cardboard cutouts to show how woke they are, resulting only in revealing how bad they are at writing instead. Their actions are always compared to the male characters and their accomplishments are lazily manufactured with given thought of a 14 year old. Example: Superman lifts a house. Supergirl lifts a bigger house. Look guys she is a Strong Female Character. Or just use the Flash/tidal wave example in this video. Hey writers. If you are by any chance reading this. We live in (CURRENT YEAR), there is no excuse to show off your ineptitude to contrast all the actual good representation of women in media (Hereditary, Ladybird, The Hate U Give, Eighth Grade, Annihilation, Widows, Black Panther, Avengers, just off the tope of the dome from 2018). Take some courses, learn how to get your point across and for Odin's sake, pay attention in the Writers Room instead of sipping lates so you don't contradict yourselves in the next fuckin' episode.
Unfortunately there is no stopping it now. This is the way how a new generation of many females will grow up thinking. "Feminism is soooo great like because it makes us and our opinions more valuable than mens!" Of course I will not include every female in this as there are women who agree with us but don't have their opinions voiced because it doesn't fit the narrative which pisses me off. All we can do is expect this to be the new way of thinking for the foreseeable future. We can teach our sons and daughters about feminism and equality the right way, but there will always be some form of media that will throw us 10 steps back again. We also have to remember that we can't force our kids to grow up with our generation of cartoon shows and ours only as its about what they want to see, otherwise they will reject it. Still present them the option though as access to older media is so much more easier now than it was when we were young. We can find it all on Kim Cartoon or RUclips, so there will always be a way. This may help them see the difference in how politics has shifted to a more left wing stance in television shows in recent years, however that sort of thinking will come of age.

I totally agree, I don't know why so much focus on sexualization of characters on CW show. Like when Super girl saw all tattoos from Bat woman and stuff. Lines that are totally not needed. I'm not saying it is bad to have gay characters, but there is no need to focus on the fact that they are gay. 10 years ago you would watch a show and love the character, and it didn't matter if it was gay or not. Today they have to show it and spread it on your face. To be honest, at the end of the day, I don't care what the person does on his/her bed or with whom, so there is no need to explain it to me. The only show I follow is the flash (I can't stand to the others), and it is also truth that they ruined Iris. They made Iris look like an idiot forcing her on a position she doesn't belong, when she could be the respectful reporter she is and help with her actual abilities.

the reviewer isn't condeming bringing sexual preferences into the charachter. He is focusing on how much SJW and political agendas are being washed all over the show. It feel more like a political advertisement than it does a tv show about superheros. ther is nothing wrong with promoting and recognizing women in strong roles. However the writing appears more than that. Its promoting women are better period. There is definately a feminism agenda written within the scripts of the show. Its fine to show gay relationships in a show however the show seemes to be focusing more on political issues instead of character plot...Superheroes fighting villians...Superman has a relationship with Lois...thers a certain drama building a romance between the Super hero the girl he saves. You can do that with any scenario with gay suprehero...That is not what this review is about. Its about the writers focus on polarizing a political agenda which is sickening rather than writing for the viewers who have grown up reading comic books about these heros. As for Wonder Women the enitire birth of her charachter was based on S&M bondage from an actual real person. Cant blame anyone for that.because that where she was designed from. Amen! Finally! I stopped watching the CW shows halfway through last season. I only watched that long because I love the character so much. I see a lot of people talking about boycotting Star Wars to get the SJW crap out but nobodys talking about these shows. They are just garbage and getting worse. I have to tell you! You hit the nail on the head, BIG TIME! That is what made Crisis On Earth X so hard to watch was the side love interests instead of sticking to the plot! It's all but destroyed Supergirl, and like you, I can't even watch Legends anymore! I totally agree more about what made the comics great and less of the political crap! Flash and Arrow have been able to stick better to stories than Supergirl and definitely Legends! You want to show equality, fine and dandy, but don't keep ramming it down our throats like we are going to accept it no matter what! Because it's taking away from awesome stories!
I agree with all of this. I originally liked these shows when it was about the character development and story telling, but when the SJW took over, it got so bad I just had to stop. This even happened in Gotham when they tried to make Penguin gay for Riddler, and then promoting the feminist "men are responsible for all the world's evils" when Barbara took over the female assassins from Ra's League of Assassins.

And Barbara not only said men were to blame for Gotham and the world's woes, but men were treated basically as second class citizens in the Sirens club while women received special treatment.
I imagine the CW shows are the result of a few executives that believe they are paving the way for equality by ham-fisting these topics in to the shows at every opportunity. They are strangling the franchise. They are removing its innocence. It would be better that they remained hero-oriented, fun, and sometimes goofy. Instead, the CW line up is a pathetic attempt at political influence. I used to love these shows; now, I can hardly watch them. I don't want to be preached at; I want to enjoy a modern adaptation of a super hero. Is that so much to ask?
Supergirl was tolerable in Season 1, but then they REALLY started going SJW... and the lead actress turned out to be a neo-feminist drone... nothing kills the only thing that was drawing young men to the show more than that....

Arrow had established villain Black Siren who was explicitly stated to NOT BE THEIR LORAL and in this season it was "jk she is like their Loral" she murdered a hero on screen infront of other heroes and was forgiven and pretected by Oliver. Flash had the mechanic (Thinker's wife) who helped him commit a series of theifts, kidnapping and acts of terrorism. But oh she got squeamish at the thought of murder guess we have to forgive her. Supergirl had Reign. I can fully forgive this one as two of the three World Breakers did die and she was possessed not evil Then there was Legends. Nora Darrk was also possessed but she 1 knew it and 2 wanted it. She was saved by Damien who sacrificed himself to save her but to my knowledge she was never punished for wantingly aiding a dangerous time deamon. And Damien was not considered redeemed dispite literally sacrificing himself.

The Best live action show for DC so far is the new Titans on DC online. However the SJW shit popped up in one episode were they talked about Pedophillia. Adam Wilkinson I absolutely hated what they did with Ra’s Al Ghul. Instead of building up the rivalry between him and Bruce, they killed him off and for some unknown reason brought Barbara back and made her the lead of a major and very important storyline. She should have died and stayed dead, one because she is a terrible character and bringing her back just made Ra’s seem like a complete idiot. I’m just holding out hope that season 5 gives a little Easter egg that implies the League is is going to bring Ra’s back. That’s really the only thing that could make up for the show’s massive fuck up in season 4.
Yeah, the stuff about Sara's sexuality and gender being thrown in our face constantly was a big turn off of the show. They should have been playing her completing the badass training from the League of Assassins twice to show her badass. Then we get the air totem woman, her character just rubs me the wrong way. Still, I think Legends is my favorite of the cw's DC shows. So I am curious if it is just me, didn't Alex have more chemistry with Max Lord than the lady cop?
To support your claim even further, I'm gunna point out the fact that a Nightwing series would have been wayyyyy better because Nightwing is just generally a more interesting character. Nightwing is out because WB is considering doing a Nightwing movie. Really everyone else but Batwoman is getting a movie or is in Titans so Batwoman is the only one left.
Closest thing to a series with Nightwing is Teen Titans since he's away from Batman leading his own team. Even if he's still Robin it's still pretty good. Also, why is it weird that Supergirl can beat Superman? Isn't their power just based on soaking up power from the sun? So he would have an advantage spending so many more years on Earth but if she just soaked in the sun for a while wouldn't she be a match for him? I've never seen it anywhere that Superman was a special Krytonian or that the sexes on their planet had differing strengths.

And even then, who's more iconic? the original robin (Nightwing), or batwoman? there's literally no debate in that, Nightwing is obviously the most iconic member of the batfamily (excluding batman) which is why it would make more sense to make a show about him.

I don't know why they would want to do a Batwoman TV show. Well, I know why, I just don't agree with it. They're building a show around her just because she's a lesbian super hero, and while I'm on that subject I don't know why every show feels the need to have a token gay character (sometimes more). People who identify as gay/lesbian/trans are a minority. I know an insanely large amount of people, and I have only ever known four who were gay (at least openly), and one of them later decided that they weren't. I hate Batwoman though. They made her a lesbian just for the sake of making her a lesbian like 50 years into the characters existence. There are so many better DC characters they could choose to do a show about. When I read a DC comic and she's in it I have to struggle just to finish it. I hate that she's a part of the Bat Family as there are already too many members in it to begin with, and yet they just keep adding more to it. It's ridiculous. I know I won't watch this show, and I predict that not many other people will either.

Until S3 the flash was fucking amazing. I literally got shivers in some scenes. The only thing that makes me keep watching the flash now is that since season 4 Barry has become stupidly fast and I enjoy watching him do crazy feats like the nuclear bomb episode or running to china and back in 3 seconds or running around the earth multiple times

When the Powerpuff girls went to stop her, she convinced them that men were inferior to women, asked Blossom to name a female superhero, and Blossom could only say "wonder woman." The girls stopped doing what their dad asked them to do, and even told the Mayor to save the city himself. At the end of the episode, their (female) teacher and the Mayor's assistant (forgot her name) told the girls that misandry won't stop misogyny, and they beat up Fem Fatale while telling her that feminism is about equality. It's a shame that Powerpuff girls can get this message across better than CW shows targeted towards adults

Batwomen idealizes and respects Batman he was her inspiration. Which is why i didn't mind the character Becuse the Batwomen i was introduced to was confident enough to proudly say Batman was her hero and pulled herself out of a self destructive spiral even though it was hard. These other female superheroes who bash guys don't come across as strong but insecure bullies who have to tear other people down to feel better. I guess you can say that Arrow did this first when suddenly Nissa Al Ghul showed up as Sarah's lesbian lover. A lot of these characters would have been better off if just written as bi instead of just suddenly becoming lesbian 😂
Even with Sara, she's supposed to be bi, but most of the time only portrays herself to be attracted to girls, and now is in a lesbian relationship, (I bet because giving her a boyfriend would back track the message CW is trying to send as well as anger a certain subsect of viewers who would complain that that writers are afraid of sticking with lesbian plot points)
I'm not saying there are no gay male relationships/characters, but the only major one is Curtis, the rest are pushed to the background.

My biggest issues is having seen Teen Titans dance around it, Arrow try to mention it but dodged it always, Gotham spent years trying to be a batman show without batman, everyone is in this weird DC legal space when it comes to batman. Everyone can mention Batman, have him as a shadow, a figure, a mist, but no one can actually have an actor playing batman. Even though the current Batman, Affleck, seems to be done with it. The show Supergirl made the decisions to show superman because pressure built up. Batwoman will run into the same issue.
Actually, there was an animated movie of Batman and Superman in which Batman mentions that Supergirl's cells absorb much more sun light than Superman's cells, so it's not something that the writers pulled out of their asses...although I can't deny the possibility that they never even bothered to check if it's even true themselves...
In the cartoon they EXPLAINED why supergirl was stronger, and the reason given does not match the origin of supergirl in the tv show. And how do you explain that supergirl (live action) is a better hero than her cousin who has at least 10 years of experience on her...... especially as she fights HIS rouges gallery and doesn't have one of her own.

I had already stop watching CW shows. This video perfectly depict the reason why I stop.
The problem is that CW is a cesspool of bad writers who can only deal in surface level over-the-top messaging. The only way they know how to write a Strong Female Character (A phrase they completely misunderstand) is to present them as more capable than the male characters.
They don't bother giving those characters depth of their own, they use them and the actors who play them as cardboard cutouts to show how woke they are, resulting only in revealing how bad they are at writing instead. Their actions are always compared to the male characters and their accomplishments are lazily manufactured with given thought of a 14 year old.
Example: Superman lifts a house. Supergirl lifts a bigger house. Look guys she is a Strong Female Character.

Unfortunately there is no stopping it now. This is the way how a new generation of many females will grow up thinking. "Feminism is soooo great like because it makes us and our opinions more valuable than mens!" Of course I will not include every female in this as there are women who agree with us but don't have their opinions voiced because it doesn't fit the narrative which pisses me off.
All we can do is expect this to be the new way of thinking for the foreseeable future. We can teach our sons and daughters about feminism and equality the right way, but there will always be some form of media that will throw us 10 steps back again. We also have to remember that we can't force our kids to grow up with our generation of cartoon shows and ours only as its about what they want to see, otherwise they will reject it.
Still present them the option though as access to older media is so much more easier now than it was when we were young. We can find it all on Kim Cartoon or RUclips, so there will always be a way. This may help them see the difference in how politics has shifted to a more left wing stance in television shows in recent years, however that sort of thinking will come of age.

I totally agree, I don't know why so much focus on sexualization of characters on CW show. Like when Super girl saw all tattoos from Bat woman and stuff. Lines that are totally not needed. Today they have to show it and spread it on your face. To be honest, at the end of the day, I don't care what the person does on his/her bed or with whom, so there is no need to explain it to me.
The only show I follow is the flash (I can't stand to the others), and it is also truth that they ruined Iris. They made Iris look like an idiot forcing her on a position she doesn't belong, when she could be the respectful reporter she is and help with her actual abilities.

I agree with all of this. I originally liked these shows when it was about the character development and story telling, but when the SJW took over, it got so bad I just had to stop. This even happened in Gotham when they tried to make Penguin gay for Riddler, and then promoting the feminist "men are responsible for all the world's evils" when Barbara took over the female assassins from Ra's League of Assassins.

I imagine the CW shows are the result of a few executives that believe they are paving the way for equality by ham-fisting these topics in to the shows at every opportunity. Arrow had established villain Black Siren who was explicitly stated to NOT BE THEIR LORAL and in this season it was "jk she is like their Loral" she murdered a hero on screen infront of other heroes and was forgiven and pretected by Oliver.
Flash had the mechanic (Thinker's wife) who helped him commit a series of theifts, kidnapping and acts of terrorism. But oh she got squeamish at the thought of murder guess we have to forgive her.
Supergirl had Reign. I can fully forgive this one as two of the three World Breakers did die and she was possessed not evil
Then there was Legends. Nora Darrk was also possessed but she 1 knew it and 2 wanted it. She was saved by Damien who sacrificed himself to save her but to my knowledge she was never punished for wantingly aiding a dangerous time deamon. And Damien was not considered redeemed dispite literally sacrificing himself.

Adam Wilkinson I absolutely hated what they did with Ra’s Al Ghul. Instead of building up the rivalry between him and Bruce, they killed him off and for some unknown reason brought Barbara back and made her the lead of a major and very important storyline. She should have died and stayed dead, one because she is a terrible character and bringing her back just made Ra’s seem like a complete idiot. I’m just holding out hope that season 5 gives a little Easter egg that implies the League is is going to bring Ra’s back. That’s really the only thing that could make up for the show’s massive fuck up in season 4.

Closest thing to a series with Nightwing is Teen Titans since he's away from Batman leading his own team. Even if he's still Robin it's still pretty good. Also, why is it weird that Supergirl can beat Superman? Isn't their power just based on soaking up power from the sun? So he would have an advantage spending so many more years on Earth but if she just soaked in the sun for a while wouldn't she be a match for him? I've never seen it anywhere that Superman was a special Krytonian or that the sexes on their planet had differing strengths.

@@ian7893 that was my favorite out of all the shows. And I'm a little sorry I had to give it up because I loved the first two seasons. But in S3 they ruined Felicity, Diggle became annoying as f**k (blaming Oliver for everything) Oliver died for a bit to make Buckles Canary and it's been downhill since then. S4 Oliver became weaker and forgot to fight. S5 they built him a whole annoying team that overtook the damn show. S6 it just gets worse starting with the endless virtue signalling. Oh btw I love how both Oliver and Barry's kids are gay jeez what are the odds nothing screams SJW progressive more than that. CW is trash the only series I still watch there is Supernatural. I just refuse to swallow this PC propaganda.

I don't know why they would want to do a Batwoman TV show. Well, I know why, I just don't agree with it. They're building a show around her just because she's a lesbian super hero, and while I'm on that subject I don't know why every show feels the need to have a token gay character (sometimes more). People who identify as gay/lesbian/trans are a minority. I know an insanely large amount of people, and I have only ever known four who were gay (at least openly), and one of them later decided that they weren't. I hate Batwoman though. They made her a lesbian just for the sake of making her a lesbian like 50 years into the characters existence. There are so many better DC characters they could choose to do a show about. When I read a DC comic and she's in it I have to struggle just to finish it. I hate that she's a part of the Bat Family as there are already too many members in it to begin with, and yet they just keep adding more to it. It's ridiculous. I know I won't watch this show, and I predict that not many other people will either.

its good that you brought up the legends since their ratings have been constently falling to the point that it may not have a next season . I'm even surprised that it had a season this year . They may have thought that adding Constantine to the cast would have raised the ratings but it didn't Its still borring to the bones no matter what .Thats probably why they don,t make anymore crossovers between the Lengends and the flash and supergirl anymore cause they know what direction the show is going .They did the same mistake with Torchwood and made homosexuality to much obvious and it simply killed the show as people got borred very fast Not to mention the parents that were pissed off at the sexual scenes that their kids could see not advising the parents that scenes like these would be shown for all kids to see and the parents reactions had nothing top do what so ever with the fact that it was a homosexual scene , it had everything to do with the fact that it was a sexual scene period gender orientation not being an issue . parents would have been pissed off the same way if Gwen Cooper would have been screwed by her husband on the screen with the blankets off to .Result ,parents decided to block the show from their houses all together to keep their young kids from watching adult scenes in a show supposidly made for everyone of every age . End result the show got canceled after 4 years due to massive rating drops. the same dam thing is happening to the Legends right now but you can bet that the SJW's will make it an homophobic issue when in fact it is not .The same dam thing will happen with Dr Who as parents do not want their kids to be dragged into politics what ever the politics are about cause kids are supposed tobe kids and do kids things . Poliitics are not kids stuff pure and simple . they have more than enough time as they grow up to get into that sort of things . same thi8ng with orientation and gender issues

Eric Carter but it’s been established that super girl is stronger than Superman in the comics as well because her space ship flew around the yellow sun for years. Which is why she looks so young because all the yellow sun she absorbed slowed down her aging so it’s not like a marry sue moment. That’s why I’m fine with it

Until S3 the flash was fucking amazing. I literally got shivers in some scenes. The only thing that makes me keep watching the flash now is that since season 4 Barry has become stupidly fast and I enjoy watching him do crazy feats like the nuclear bomb episode or running to china and back in 3 seconds or running around the earth multiple times
