Another excellent tutorial about something in Cubase I didn't know existed. I've been signed up to the digital audio manual preferred for last three months and learned loads from Andrew. Definitely worth a look. Thank you
Multitap delay and quadrafuzz are 2 of the most versatile stock plugins. It takes time to learn all the available options, but with just these 2 you can create almost any effect. Thanks for bringing attention to this one!
very helpful, as always. What I didn't really understand or hear, is that basic mode, represented by the knob on the upper left, always on? Or to put it another way, are the displayed taps in addition to that basic one, or is the tap, which is controlled by that knob on the left also displayed? Because in the basic mode you hear a tap but the grid doesn't display anything,
hi cloud, that basic mode is a basic delay,, no taps,, once you add even 1 tap, depending on where on the grid you put it, it begins causing a reaction to that basic delay,, in the beginning I always say try to keep you taps on simple grid points so you can really hear how it affects the main delay...then work your way from there,,, andrew
@@TheDigitalAudioManual Thank you for that explanation. I thought that a "tap" was basically a regular delay signal, so that you can control every single bit of the Delay directly in this plug in. I've been using Replika by NI, which schows all the delayed signals in a grid.
hi cloud,, yes the multitap delay is unusual in a few ways,, and thats what makes it harder to understand. I think of it like a pinball game,,, the original delay is the pinball, and the taps are like bumpers that send the original delay off in many directions..
nice demo, but you should make the cubase volume higher, closer to the volume of your speech. i was riding the volume button pretty hard... and also, i'd turn off the metronome sound, it's distracting. thanks!
thank you hagit,,, I appreciate your observations on volume,, I am always debating with the music level,,, I like it louder myself, but I am never sure how helpful that is to anyone else, so your comments are good to know... andrew
once again ...fabulous breakdown on a wicked fx inside cubase.....
Very helpful, as always!
That’s a great tutorial, thank you !
One of those crazy Steinberg stock plugins
Thanks Andrew . Awesome a s usual. Using some of the presets in this delay finding what works and tweaking it from there. Super helpful.😀

Awesome vid. I NEVER use the multitap, but that's gonna change now
Moi aussi je vais commencer à l'utiliser maintenant... Merci beaucoup
Thanks, Andrew, for sharing this video. Truly, interesting delay effects.
I had not noticed that either, many thanks
Dada Life - that explains a lot

@@TheDigitalAudioManual I thought I recognized the crunching goodness of Dada Life in some previous vids of yours - didn't think anyone else used them
