    When I was learning to land my trike I found that technique of little hops really useful for judging the height and speed although we did have a 10,000 ft runway to do it on.

    Thanks for sharing! I am learning with my husband in a Light Sport Revo with Tracy Tomlinson. We will be his last students. My husband is a school teacher now and desires to become a CFI. I may join him but for now I am just enjoying learning something new and challenging myself. Tracy is off to retire in Hawaii, where he will continue to fly the skies. We have 2-3 hours and are returning this weekend for hours 3 and 4. I'm his littlest student at 4'9 and reach everything just fine. Proud to be joining a narrow field of women aviators. Hoping to inspire!

    Sounds like fun, I'm coming up on my PPL checkride and am a hang glider pilot, this seems like a neat blending of the two.

    Paul I've been flying since I was 15 years old but with my disability of cerebral palsy which affects my ankles, rudder pedals have become hard for me cause of how my ankles are turned. Would it still be possible for me to fly a trike?

      Jake Kellogg w my son is partially paralyzed on his left leg so braking was a problem till he made the brake hand controlled. As long as to can push with both feet steering and can work/move the throttle you can.

      @@PaulHamiltonCFI paul you are living the life my friend. I've always had a dream of flying my own plane but not until this week did i realize that it's actually possible for a guy like me. These trikes look absolutely stunning and the fun i can only imagine. I'm having trouble understanding alot of the websites ive checked out the kits the this and that i would really like to build my own kit plus save some cash could you give me some directions to find the cheapest possible trike or ultralight put there because money is diffenently a factor but i will own one of these soon if i gotta sell my house. Thanks I'm from northeast Arkansas is there used planes on a website that you know of.

    If you're going to go through all of that and having to deal with ATC just like other general aviation traffic... why not just get a private pilot's license?

    • @PaulHamiltonCFI
      @PaulHamiltonCFI  6 лет назад +3

      Yes I do have a WSC trike Private Pilot's license. Actually many (but not all) think it is more fun to fly a trike.
